You do realize that the Mad Spirits can also play Coop with the Host if they're summoned, right? The only difference between the Mad Spirits and the Coop Spirits is - They can still be attacked by other (including friendly) players and they get send home if the host walks through fog. It's all up to them.
Delacorvix you do realise that mad dark spirits are usually purple meaning the mad dark spirit in the video was wearing a ring to disguise him as a friendly spirit so he probably had bad intentions in mind and he was probably trying to fool the host.
I have tried this so many times. Even so far as to kill an npc and take there spot where they usually stand with other NPC’s around. No one ever falls for it and just immediately attacks me. 🤷♂️

I remember me and a friend doing this in Dark Souls 2, would kill our enemies, hide the bodies and stand where they usually would, then we'd wait to be invaded and I swear it took this one guy almost 40 minutes to figure out where we were.

Cathedral Ward me and my friend would kill the two NPC hunters to the right then take their positions (Convenient since they despawn instantly and leave no trace) then wait. The number of people who ran past us not trying to lock on at any time and probably ran through the entirety of Cathedral Ward before just using a silencing blank to leave XD Or Byrgenwerth, Host hiding in the upper levels while Summon acts like the NPC Hunter there. The number of people who didn't think it was odd that the host appearently passed the NPC Humter but said NPC is still in their default position IN FRONT OF AN OPEN CHEST XD

It wasn't technically his fault. I mean anri was attacked by the hosts and his mates when trying to kill Krazy. He could've opened up with a thrust attack as to not hit anri and baited him or sumthin

There is NEVER EVER a moment where you are forced to risk hitting an npc.... well unless you are a cretin who dragged a whole 'train of enemies' behind him.... then yeah you have nowhere to retreat.
See this only works for hosts though, as other people with brains will realize that they shouldn't be able to see the npcs and realize that it's an invader

+friesguy5467 if I understand,he was equipping and unequipping Lloyd's Sword ring,which gives you an attack boost when HP is full.And I think that equipping it with Full HP makes this effect,but he was doing this repeatedly,so the effect seemed weird.
the visual effect of Lloyds sword ring overrides the visual effect of Tears of Denial and whenever the effect goes away the tear effect comes back with that "glow" (and sound effect), so he just kept spamming the ring on/off to make it look like he is hacking and that made host DC because of the softban possibility. (getting hit by a hacked weapon can be enough to get you a warning sometimes, i know that from experience)
I love fighting people like that though, even if it's gonna end with me dying, just gotta have fun ^_^. That said though, I've run I to a lot of "nice" hackers recently, they join your world, give everyone max health, endurance, and FP, along with blazing weapon, and tears of denial, and then leave.... It's super weird.

I've yet to beat him. The two characters I've gone down to see him with weren't nearly durable enough to survive his big-ass sword. He charged up his sword attack and one-hit-killed my pyromancer like it was nothing. Guess that's what I get for wearing cloth gear.

I've yet to beat him. The two characters I've gone down to see him with weren't nearly durable enough to survive his big-ass sword. He charged up his sword attack and one-hit-killed my pyromancer like it was nothing. Guess that's what I get for wearing cloth gear.
I honestly don't fault the dc at the end because I honestly thought you were using hacks until I noticed the rapid ring equip.
I did it to someone and it was GLORIOUS
It got better with the paired characterers at the end. Never finished this game so I don't know all the NPCs but I learn most from videos like this. Such fun!

I dot get it, some of them were really good, but some were so out of place, you would know that the fake NPC wasn't supposed to be there unless it's your first time in that area
