I'm amazed the invaders didn't notice that unlike the AI's pinpoint aim, the three of you were shooting all over the place with those crossbows. That should've been a huge red flag right there.
I know its been 3 years, but I'm pretty sure invaders just see shots into the distance for some reason. Could just be ds3 though.
Six year old comment but oh well. Do they even shoot when there's no one to shoot at? I haven't played DS2 in a very long time so I don't remember.

For those wondering about the nameplates, those only appear when locked-on or when they take damage.
Which is actually a give-away for invaders using the White Ring, as friendly phantoms _always_ have a nameplate (from the host's point of view), and if the host can't see the nameplate, it moves to the left side of the screen.
No wonder why Maldron's nameplate never showed up! That, and I never remembered summoning anyone...

VenDettaDarkStar Summons can always see the name of allies. Invaders have to lock on first in order to see the names.

My favourite part of the Royal Swordsman cosplay was the fact that no one noticed that you're at least a head taller than the actual enemies.

Wow, I can't believe how many people fell for the archers. First off, there's never three of those guys up there. Second NPCs only fire if they either have or had line of sight on the player, they don't just fire randomly at the air. Just come on people...

Inuyasha69 In New Game+2 or something? Cause I've played through the area in New Game and + and there's only one maybe two. Unless you're counting the one down the stairs near where they end as well...still as I said, NPCs don't just fire randomly at walls.

There are three depending on whether you have the original or SOTFS. In SOTFS, there's just one. In the orignal, there are three. As for anything added in ng+ or beyond, with very, very few exceptions, all added NPC's appear as black phantoms.

Mr. Belial I remember when it was possible to do 10,000 damage with a climax. Not that anyone noticed when they nerfed the gear that made it possible.

No, hexes were nerfed it seems. With that Staff and 50INT( 5 affinity orbs) Cro Souls should have done a fuckload of damage, even if most of the affinity orbs didn't hit. Dark Greatsword also does really good damage, it doesn't even need the energy beam. And finally, his katana was Dark Buffed. It really doesn't matter which katana you use; dark buff it and it's the King's UGS with a faster moveset. The most damage I saw you Krazy and Friends take from Cro Souls was a 500, maybe less. Most of the time, the average damage would be 650DMG and up

The crossbow part shouldn't have worked as well as it did. I'm actually a little sad that fellow players fell for it. I mean really, what are those crossbow men shooting at, nothing. That should have been a clue.

+MerlinCross It's just that some people are either thinking the player wouldn't do such a thing, or that they're just unobservant/don't think properly/morons. One of those. Most likely the latter three. I'm disappointed in the common intelligence of people these days; the just don't think rationally or logically. This generation is losing its touch, and, sometimes, I feel ashamed to be a part of such a generation of people, although seeing the stupidity in actions is one of two things: One: The statement earlier into the sentence: Two: Absolutely hilarious. That's why I love seeing these videos.

Artyom I don't know why they would be incentivised to think that as those specific enemies are relatively hard to glitch to fire repeatedly firing in one direction and especially not firing at a single spot in unison. I just don't know what to think of the common player anymore.
+Space Bound the arrogance is strong with this one. Although the dead body should've given it away they could've thought they were buggy or something. And I love how you generalize a whole generation to a few Dark Souls players. Every generation has its morons. You're really not that special or extraordinarily intelligent for not being a moron, you're simply... not a moron.
A good way to set a trap, is with help of another player or players with the same name, the invader will search the Host, he will no have any idea of phantom or another invader (friend) in the world. the invader will find your friend with the same name, he can kill it and will get confuse because his invasion wont end, or can set the trap in a bridge with some Sniper action :), the rest depends of the creativity od the host xD (sorry for the bad english)

I wonder how many people would fall for something that's only in DkS2 and not in SotFS. I mean like the 2 knights that where removed at that bridge or the alone knights that where just hanging around in DkS2 but aren't in SotFS. That would be awesome if it worked.

The real trick is that once you realize the group of enemies are actual players, you continue to play dumb then black crystal out of there. Or have the power to one shot backstab. That works too. Though poor fools that thought they were smart by revealing your disguise without a plan.
