@@Jerry-ob1un I think it's because it doesn't feel like a full Dark Souls game. I enjoyed myself but it felt strange. There were too many subpar bosses that I didn't remember fighting till I replayed it. The world felt far more separated than the first one. Instead of finding elevators and passages that linked everything together it was much more linear once you chose a direction from Majula. Again I enjoyed the game and will probably play it again some point but those are my guesses as to why.

today, i rewatched it and got 90% of the jokes i missed back then, such as the Castle Crashers style map and 'MaatiMovie', and recognised so much more than i did as a novice to the game series that long ago

Replaying SotfS and had to watch this now I'm done, it was like revisiting an old neighbourhood. My friend and I back in the day played through the game in elite knight and royal swordsman gear to happy souls it through, and still regularly quote things like "We RUN and we EXPLODE!" to the bemusement of all around us. Thanks for such a legendary animation for one of my all time favourite games!

I love the joke about boss weapons being "right down the road" and they never run into that character again. Happened to me on my first playthrough.
yeah haha. the bird is actually in a really annoying place to get to.
And not only that, after you find her, the bonfire to warp back to her is infested with a dozen spiders on the walls. You can either kill ALL the spiders or kill the ones that drop as you pass and take a gamble on one of the remaining spiders randomly dropping off the wall while you're minding your business in the other room... and biting you in the ass as you're stuck on the shop menu.

I've started playing DS2 this week and finally understood the "right down the road" joke.
This asshole bird's house isn't right down the road it's two entire areas later and his house is in a place crawling with spider mages and an NPC invader with two crossbow with some kind of giant sand trap in the middle of all of this shit.

How he stresses the words while mocking "tooo eaasy" gets me every time. Pursuer is such a di*k but i love him for giving me a panic attack every damn time he teleports to kill me. Once it was just as i opened the chest near the king's door in forest of the fallen giants. I remember being extremely careful but he would still give me a jumpscare every time in my first play through.

Whereas SotFS actually changes enemy placement and item locations; it effectively rebalances the game's PVE

If anything, SOTFS makes most areas significantly harder (Earthen Peak and Iron Keep in particular have become pretty ridiculous), and only some areas easier while a few others barely got any changes. However, in exchange there's a crapton of new, really powerful NPC phantoms available (as well as NPC invaders) who you can potentially cheese the game with via a meme faith Healer build (go full Ymfah lol), tho not the DLCs since those still have a "you got to be at least THIS gud" requirement to beat.

If you stick to the idea that travelling in DS's universes can mean TIME-travelling, then the villagers may see you as an undead bearing the mark and attacking you cause they don't want to see a freakin' hollow killing them. And even if you're human, man, you still have the mark so...

Like, way back in the ancient times when I first played Dark Souls 3, I found this video, thought it was entertaining, and watched it again with a friend. This is the best Dark Souls animation I've seen to date. The graphical quality and work is stunning, the voice acting is great, and the sheer daring to make it so long just goes to show how Jameserton truly intended to tell a humorous story and/or truth about every single location in the base-game. I laughed at them all. Amazing masterpiece. Also, the composition was great.

Sir Quaffler It was one guy voicing 2 characters very well. Probably just spent a LOT of time playing the game and wanted to express specific issues or experiences of the game in a satirical and light-hearted manner.
