- Casting the Hidden Body spell while wearing the White Ring makes you appear as a ghost very similar to the apparitions from other players.
Adding the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring allows you to mask the sound of your character's movements.
Other useful rings for this are:
Obscuring Ring
Lingering Dragoncrest Ring (extends the length of spells)
Now you even have to fear the ghosts.

@@SwiftVTing To be fair, they are clearly enemies. When outside of the woods they are very bright white phantom-like enemies... but in the mist you can't see them much if at all most times.

+PITTXXVI sorcery Pvp actually works, well at least I made it work. People think it's just spam great crystal arrow or whatever, but I use the Farron dart and the low lever arrow and quick stuff like that
Sorcery is very viable in PvP. It's just bad in duels.

Should add the Obscuring Ring. It'll make you fade out after walking a certain distance just like a real "player ghost".
Unfortunately, the Obscuring Ring negates the Hidden Body effect

After reading about this tactic on the wiki, I actually started attacking ghosts that were just a tad too bright in my opinion. One or two always got too close and I felt nervous.
Fucking Dark Souls. Can't trust even the most harmless of all mechanics.
Hidden body should honestly last longer. since its just a gimmick for pvp. and people can still lock on.

You can also use it to great success in PvE. It shortens the distance at which mobs detect you to a fraction of where they normally sense you.

If you use this with the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring it is also pretty good in pve
mobs never hear if you come from behind and always get the backstep and i front the don't see you so easy
This happened to me today i thought it was just a player's past ghost rolling around and shit and the fucking ghost stabbed me in the back searched for this afterwards now i have an evil plan

A couple questions, I'm a Souls vet but I never got into PvP.
1. How do they not see your name and health bar in your videos?
2. How were their homing spells not shooting at you, because of hidden body?

The last kill was most likely poison or bleed damage that just ticked away.
But if he was Poisoned how did that come to be with out our troll being recognized was it luck ? Did he follow the guy and hit him from shadows it's not making any sense to me how it came to be
