- So far I have done lots of simple 'Do it Yourself' modifications to my Mini R54 JCW Clubman. I this video I finish the look by fitting a new piano black bonnet scoop.

Very good Tool I bought a pack OF 6 all sizes .
Goosebumps when the P51 went over. Theres something about the sound of a P51 and Spitfire.
During the summer we get them flying over most days. Never gets boring 👌
Suggestions: move into the shade, put a sheet over the motor so if you do drop the screw it wont go into the motor, leave the sheet in place when removing the scoop so a clip doesn't follow the screw you just dropped, (your bonnet should close with it in place if you don't get it into the works) and lastly have your pups teach mine those ear movements, that got the biggest AHH!

You really notice how much better the 'customisation' is when you jump back to the start and see the before shots 😎.
I do like to go dramatic every now and then. I like looking back at the car the day I collected it 👍
7 mins 30 secs in and I can see Ryan of the Car Detailing Genre (Two Wash Bucket Brigade) running off to a darkened room to lie down when he saw the plastic trim tool and masking tape come out. Go for it Pete all you need now is the bucket and sponge. Looks good though when done.
I cleaned the inside with a sponge 🧽 😜😂😂
my cats always watch from the window or door if I am outside doing something. then I usually get sassed when I come back in. but life is boring without them, lol.

I loved the way the tension was built with the dramatic music at the beginning. If I’m honest, I was a little sceptical of this modification but it transformed the appearance. Great work. 👍🏻

Enjoying these how to videos as Im a complete numpty when it comes to diy of any kind. Ever since I started watching your channel and the minis, I become a bit of a fan. So much so that Ive gone and bought a Copper S (now new one I hasten to add), so these vids wills will come in very useful.

Now that did make your car look really good. I’m having a black grille put on my Subaru Outback today because the original one was damaged when Mrs F took it to the local hand wash and it took most of the finish off making it look awful. I noticed when I went on line that it appears to be a weakness so I decided to change it for the black sports grille so I’m hoping it will have the same affect as yours🤞

Hi pp 👍 looking perfect now! I fitted a carbon fiber scoop to my cabriolet when 59 plate was new, looked awesome too! Think it was just the clips no screw! 🥂

I did this for my R55 a few years ago...I replaced the faux Chrome scoop (that was peeling from excessive heat, even with an installed heat shield on the underside of the hood) with a gloss black scoop. It really made a nice difference to the look. Much more aggressive look, IMO.

Enjoying the new content during Lockdown. Always enjoy the MINI mods on Ruby and the Clubman. Some great MINI accessories on the smps2012 website, I ordered the Gloss Black Beltline kit that you fitted before. Subtle and fully reversible. Will get my MINI Cooper Park Lane ready for a Peddlerz rides video!

I didn’t like it at first. Like you said hard to see the detail. Then at one angle I got it. It looks great. I hope it doesn’t produce any extra wind noise with the higher profile.

I didn't realise it was possible to make it operational, it is on my R53 direct air feed to the air intercooler. Wow I bet that is a really expensive upgrade to do on Charley and not sure if the gains would be worth it, either way Charley is looking great and your skills are improving all the time mate,, nice one 👍👍👍👍👍🏁

Petrol Ped I noticed the better sound and different camera angles...I am still experimenting...adding sound seems a challenge with an iPad...I can get the standard sounds but specific music is my Apple Music only and I only have two tunes on there..a hymn for a funeral I arranged and some free music that came with the app. I shall do more work!!! 😀😀😎😎😎

The bonnet vent went in pretty good👍🙂. I'm relieved nothing broke. No need for a radio when you have the bird's breaking out the tune's. Next mod; routing the intake to the bonnet vent?

Petrol Ped just got my jcw clubby. Weirdly the belt line is black but door handles still chrome. Makes no sense as I thought they were all chrome if those that come with black pack factory black handles etc.
Looks great, might have to take a look at one - would rather one with an opening though to feed cold air to intake. Any ideas?
You can get a kit from Eventuri to open the scoop up and make it functional. It’s not cheep but does look awesome 👍
Sorted MSPS2012 do exactly what I want, have a bit of a Wishlist for when shipping from the UK gets back to normal - bonnet scoop, black grills, black light surrounds, black filter cap cover and cold air intake. Will mention you when I can finally order!
Great video, Pedro!! I have a 2012 R60 (Countryman S) and it has not got the scoop at all. Is this a JCW only item? And, oh yeah, why is your steering wheel on the wrong side? LOL!!

What!? No test drive? I'm certain that mod will affect the performance of the car. Sticky out things on a car definitely reduce top speed capability at Bonneville Salt Flats!

Good evening Ped. Really like your channel. I see that your JCW Clubman has the optional wheels. Can you give me some advice please? I really like the look of the optional wheels over the black which come as standard. Sadly, I cannot order variable dampers unless I stick with the standard wheels and I am a bit concerned that the ride may be too hard for a daily driver without the variable dampers. Did your long term test car have variable damping and if so, did it make any appreciable difference? Thanks in advance for your advice

Sadly my long termer didn’t have it either. The ride isn’t too bad at all and will be improved once I get some decent tyres on the car. The main issue 👍
If you can test the two back to back then make your mind up but I daily this car and the ride is fine. Firm for sure but not crashy.
That looks absolutely fabulous and the car is looking superb with the other stuff you have done in previous episodes. Is it me though but that PP sticker on the rear nearside door doesn’t really do it with the other stuff. I think you have made the same observation in the past?

Do you suppose making a smooth cut out, thereby allowing air into the engine compartment would help with power, and or cooling? Just a thought. Looks good, makes the scoop look much larger. Cheers. PS, how is it possible for you to have such wonderful weather, and I've been living with clouds and rain for almost two weeks?
Just opening up the vent would make no difference as the air is changed from the front grill. Eventuri do a kit to turn it into a functional scoop though 👍
I do prefer my coopers bulge without the fake vent

Hey PP, thanks loads for all your content - I’m enjoying all the mini stuff, as I’m hoping to pick up a 2011 Cooper S soft-top once the showroom re-opens in a week or twos time. The one I am getting has already been de-chromed (may at purchase/maybe later - I don’t know) but still has some chrome and thus something of a mixed look. I am hoping to complete a few changes to get rid of the remaining chrome, and was looking to buy a workshop manual to make sure I can get the necessary info to do things like replace the rear-light surrounds. Do you have a workshop manual for yours? I have seen reviews for the Haynes suggesting that they are aren’t that good any more, and seen an American one (Bentley publishers) which is quite expensive but better reviewed. Any thoughts on which way to go on this? Ta. Kev
Not used a Haynes manual since I owned a Mk1 Fiesta 30 years ago 😂
