Nice modifications! I LOVE the cockpit mod and I may do it at some point. I am almost finished a few mods I am doing on mine, just waiting on some parts to finish. The first one I did was to add a stepped 2x3 slope brick on the top where you added the grills. I thought it made the look much better without the exposed brick studs. Your idea is interesting too. The next mod I did was to cover all the exposed studs on the outside of the Ornithopter. When I built it I went “okay, this is cool” but after a few days the exposed studs started to bug me. Adding some flat topped panels onto the studs has give the ‘thopter a more streamlined look. I’m not sure about the dome pieces you added though. I see what you want but I’m thinking they aren’t quite the right thing to use. Still, great idea! Of course, like many others I have replaced most of the red connectors with black one and am considering doing the same with the orange ones and the red axels because they look out of place on this kit. Not sure why the designers went with these colours. Nice ideas and I’m going to definitely keep the cockpit mod in mind. I may rebuild this kit because I’m not happy with the wings movement at the moment so that will give me a chance to do the cockpit.
Very nice! Mine still is original but if I find some time I will replace the colored parts which bother me a bit and work on the surface which looks a bit unfinished. Thanks for the inspiration. It is a nice model but considering the price, Lego could have put more effort into it
Very nice. Is it not possible to have 3 minifigs without raising the roof of the canopy? I really wanna try that mod but if you can't fit them I guess I probably won't try it.
@@Plasticstarwars You can fix the canopy much easier by switching the window element with the clear door element, it will give them more headroom without having to raise the whole canopy section. It may not look as good but it works and its easier.
I love the little grills near the unfolding mechanism, overall really nice work! Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching!🙏😊

Thanks my friend! Unfortunately, you will need to raise the canopy a little. You wont able to fit them in otherwise.

If only I could afford it
