Toy collector and amateur maker of Star Wars and sci-fi modelkits. Fine scale modellers look away as my builds are all of the quick and dirty variety.. closer to prop makers in that regard.😂
My Small Unrealistic Hornby Model Railway Layout
Not sci-fi related but still a model to some extent.
Brought this old OO gauge train layout back to life after some much needed tlc. Still a joy watching the toy trains go round and around.😊

Glad to have caught the last leg of the Star Wars Identities Tour when it was held here in Singapore back in 2021. The last time I saw some of the props was back in 2000 in London. Glad to be able to get right up close to the actual filming models and see all the amazing details once more. The artistry and craftsmanship that has gone into each piece of work is truly phenomenal. Pure movie magic.

This is great! I’ve ordered the 1/72 Harkonnen and wanted to make it a similar black. Picked up a TS14 black but think I’ll exchange it for a nato black instead! Looks great 😁😁
@@jackmcmahon6964 Thanks my friend. Enjoy your build!👍😊
Great paint job. Amazing detail. Subtle treatment of weathering details
@@JorgeGonzalez-do3xo Thanks my friend.
Where did you get the matching padding for the top of the helmet?
@@stuntmandev2327 think it was from a discarded headphone cushion.😅
How much would it cost to buy something like this already put together
Looks great!
@@alyciamarrison2916 thanks!😊
Really awesome paint job. I am staying away from painting because the paintbrush stuff feels to complicated. Good to see that it is possible to get good results without it.
@@martinschissler9208 the Tamiya weathering master kit is amazing. Give it a try.👍😊
🚀 🚀 Very skilled🚀🚀
@@davidgallardo_bautista6094 Thanks for watching!🙏😊
Beautiful work! I'm just starting the same kit, could you share details on the spec of the white LED you used to replace the default yellow? I like the idea but worry about using the wrong type of LED.
@@kyomeka thanks my friend. I used a 3mm 3v white led diode.👌
That's cool. Very nice.
Thanks my friend😊
@@Plasticstarwars I ove the way you decorated your layout. Do you ever lean close with one eye shut at the train goes by like I do?...lol
@@stevecausey545 all the time!😂
Perfect size for your room, a fabulous set-up! 👌👏
Thanks my friend😊
Very cool, Sean There's so many details in the layout and landscape. I love it
Thanks Mike! I enjoyed making this back then.😊
great method to tint the clear parts!
@@scifimodelsandstuff3211 thanks my friend! It’s unconventional… but it kinda works.😂
If this weren't so pricey, it'd be perfect for a crashed /wreckage diorama - with sand dunes covering part of the craft and some of it's wings sticking out of the sand at odd angles...
@@jasoncaldwell5627 Definitely. Although you can still make one with the cheaper smaller one.👌😊
@@Plasticstarwars Good point. A smaller version might be able to have the body cast, then broken up as wreckage.
Dude. That's terrible. You should...uh...send it to me and tell everyone I made it. So it won't hurt your reputation, of course. I'm just looking out for you.
@@jasoncaldwell5627 😂There’s no rep to protect.👌
@@Plasticstarwars Don't sell yourself short- your builds are excellent.
Great vid! I’ve just picked one of these up myself to build but didn’t even consider the paint! I’ll have to look into getting some
@@Clarkey121 Have fun! Model kits always look better painted.👌😊
It's really cool! Hello, I'm Japanese. I have a question, but I also had this Nerf gun and was playing with it, but when I tried to reload, the part that holds the bullet broke and became 😢 there any way to fix it? 5:28 It's about this tube.
@@ぴょぉぉぉぉぉぉぉおおおおおおおおおおお Thanks! Sorry to hear of your problem with the broken mechanism. I’m not sure if it can be fixed but you may try searching reddit forums for help? I believe there’s at least some advise on how to dismantle the blaster. Good luck!

Nice work again and thanks as always for sharing. I miss your narration in the last videos, but I’m happy to get whatever you’re willing to share. This kit looks pretty large. Kind of wish there was something in between this one and the small one.
@@justindavisphotography Thanks Justin! I admit I’m getting a little lazy these days.😅 Doing the VO requires quite a bit more work. May try it again someday. This kit is actually a pretty good size. The fuselage is relatively small. Just that wingspan is kinda crazy.. imagine taking the width of an airliner just to carry a max load of less than 10 people.😂
@@Plasticstarwars i can certainly relate to the feeling lazy! 😉I figured the extra work for the VO was probably a factor too. But like I said, always enjoy your work and what you share. So please do whatever works for you. Thanks for the info on the kit. It looks amazing. One more to add to my huge backlog?
Looks nice, good work!

An voice assistent, like Alexa or GPT , sir ... but with this voice and aspect would be bestseller
That would make a great toy to sell I would buy it.

And you used an expensive Nikkor fisheye lens. Classy.
@@LawrenceRubinpennlawyer its not real. Just decals and plastic lens that came with the kit.👌😊
Now there needs to be a durable Ring doorbell version of HAL9000
@@Dragon_Werks It will not open any doors when you ring it. 😅🤣
@@Plasticstarwars I'm sorry mister Amazon man, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Either that or a webcam.
We need a HAL Alexa. HALEXA
Now That's a cool idea. Though pretty nerdy
So a couple questions: What are it's dimensions? What was the total cost of it? And does it come weathered like that, or did you paint it?
@@RyanByrne999 it’s 1/43 scale and 3 feet in size. The same dimensions as the filming model. Back then it was a 100 issue magazine subscription over the course of 24 months. The total cost then was around $2k. Minus the time, effort and paints you will have to put into it because it’s a kit. Sounds like a lot but it’s still at least 5 times cheaper than the Master Replicas Falcon. Having it paid in installments helps. You can Google for more info on it.👍😊
It's cool, but 2 years is ridiculous
Very nice. Thinking back to the movie, the model is all wrong. In the opening scenes of the discovery, bowman is running around the inside of the front circular section. That would make the inside about 20 meter in diameter.
@@petermerz2704 thanks my friend! Yes, I thought the centrifuge living quarters looked a lot larger in the opening scene too. It could be the wide angle lens that made it look so though..
@@Plasticstarwars I’ll have to watch the movie again. Look at the front end! 😎🇨🇦

That's is truly awe-inspiring! I have never seen anything like it before. Outstanding work. I was thinking about the game table. I wonder if you try using the old Pepper's Ghost trick on it to show the game character pieces. Not that you need to add any more to it. But it would be a really cool, one of kind, feature for it.
@@Gentleman_Jester Thanks my friend! Good suggestion on the hologram trick but theres not much space in there and it needs to be a somewhat controlled viewing environment. 👍😊
