I have a feeling "Detail Geek" tells his clients to leave the car as is so he can show the amazing transformation. It's actually a great formula. He has almost 3 million subscribers to prove the formula works. Plus his editing, music and commentary is soooo satisfying. I'm addicted to his content.
I was thinking the same thing... He probably tells them to leave it as is for a more dramatic difference. It definitely works!
Especially since ALL of his videos have excessive trash inside. If it was just every so often I'd believe clients just not caring, but since its every single vehicle it seems a safe assumption that he says to leave as is. I think it does add quite a bit to the before and after transformation

Human blood*
Few things, I picked up a gutter cleaning end for my power washer, it's basically a U shaped pipe that goes on the end of the wand. I initially got it to clean the under carriage but I found it works incredibly well for cleaning the inner lip of wheel wells as well as getting up inside the bed between the box and fenders without having to bend over and spray up in there with the standard wand and tip.
Secondly, the spot clean pro is an excellent machine. I use it on vehicles and it has done an immense amount of work on furniture and rugs in my home cleaning up after dogs and kiddos.

1. What do you do with the stuff in the car that looks important? Do you just put it in a bag and give it to the owner to sort out?
2. Do you listen to music or podcasts while doing this or do you just like the “silence”(vacuum and stuff noises)?
3. What’s your least favorite job to do on a car? Or the most monotonous.
I own a husky and we are going to be introducing him to the car a lot more this year when we can finally get out again after lockdown and stuff. Im definitely buying whatever that little brush thing was that you used for the fur in the carpets! I currently have a reusable lint remover. Not the sticky one but the one that works on friction. It does the job but not 100% so hopefully that may help some. Great job you did on this truck though :) I couldnt even really see the coffee stain till you started sucking it up! Amazing!
2020 was hard on everyone. Even Santa had to cut back on some of his workers.

We have a similar carpet cleaner and when we brought our current house we did up the villa and the carpets were black for the first three times so those cleaners really do work even if you have to do it a few times

I’d tell all my clients in advance to remove personal belongings and excess trash. Most car washes make you do it. I think that’s so rude of them to bring it in like that.

And is detailing something you do ft? Do you hold down a regular job? How many can you get done in one day, considering you do this on your own? And I am kinda iffy about doing this out of my own home, my goal is to start mobile detailing. What are your thoughts?

I really hope the owner takes care of the little surface rust that’s on the bed before it spreads and really starts to eat at the truck. Such an easy fix when it’s small like that!

He’s not joking about that lily brush I use one to get get all the hair from my husky out of my carpets, it works great!
I've been putting it off because of the cost, but my car and house look like I've shaved a bear. I'm going to have to bite the bullet
@GALMA 0 Currently I use a tub shroom (only silicone thing I have) and it takes about 5 minutes to clean my sectional in a house with two dogs, so I'd imagine it would be even faster. We have wood floors though so that isn't a worry for hairs.
@GALMA 0 We have a pup who has allergies causing him to lose hair 9-10 months out of the year, and a Mali/German Shepherd mix who sheds entirely new dogs weekly. He's new to the family, so we're still trying to learn how to manage (hence the tub shroom 😂)

My buddy as an old ‘99 Ranger and he ended up finding another old box for his ranger at a junkyard so now whenever hunting season starts he swaps it out for the junkyard box which is his hunting box so he doesn’t get blood all over it for the rest of the year. Pretty smart tbh

Yeah, in CA, you would never bother a detail on a rusty car, because it'll never look better than a soap-and-water wash. A rusty car would have to be 20 years old already and from another state. So it's only got a year left.
Makes me wonder if they ever sand-down the paint chips, or daub a lacquer over the rust to keep it from spreading, or from getting bits into the detailing towel.
