Best engine Toyota ever built in my opinion. My engine has 230.000km and is tuned to 120hp. Same chain same waterpump more power still running. The enginge has no leaks and looks better in terms of sweating oil than any other car with half the km on its clock...
mine has changed from 75 hp to 112 hp and it runs 1.5 bar in charge pressure as it is also raised. and I have driven many kilometers with it. and they pull well with those hp :-)
I haven't coded the egr valve either. as it is so easy to clean whenever you want. I think I spent 20 minutes in the end taking it off and at the same time cleaning the intake nozzle as well
@@JR-pc4cr Toyota's are built differently. Unfortunately the diesel era ended and Toyota started to buy BMW diesel engines and now you only find diesel engines only in pickups or the land cruiser....
the Toyota yaris I also have a 1.4 d4-d, it has driven 442,000 and it has never had its chain changed and it still does not make noise. then changes engine oil and oil filter every 10,000km. so it is good for the chain and the engine
just replaced the clutch it lasted 470,000 as it has been running now. so that coupling has held up ok. then also replaced the water pump as it had also driven those km. and of course now multirem in the same round. Interesting to see how many kilometers the car has now. it still runs as well as it always did :-)
@@just_T4U you have not connected the vaccum control ring that goes to egr and intake?. if it is disconnected it gives the bad pull that you describe. and as for my turbo, it has the original turbo on it now and it is not sooty now. I have cleaned it several times in the past. and self-sensing intake at stop the splash I have also cleaned. also hated once when it switched off at about 3 rpm. there was the clogged fuel filter. they need the difficult change often as they often go bad change mine where 20,000 km approx. where it is 60,000 km on my other cars. but the filter costs quite a bit of money, so it will work :-). I hope you understand what I am writing, I am not good at writing English

That's impressive! I am thinking to remap my d4d Yaris too. Did you delete dpf and EGR?
@@cumminsdriver7439 no i checked my egr it was clean as a whistle. I have the Version without dpf.. now at 242.000.
