    Great video. You answered some questions I had. I already got my Volta and I didn't know I could twist the head for tripod angles. Thank you.

    Will this power go pro 12 without a battery in the GoPro 12? Sorry, I just realized you never answer any comment questions.

      It powers my Gopro 11 without a battery. Not sure if the 12 is any different, though.

    Hello. I watched your video and you didn't mention any disadvantages with the volta. I have had one for less than two years and I have only used it a few times and the USB-C tip of the Volta broke. The male piece that goes inside the camera came out of the Volta cable.
    I was looking for a little information and I don't see any solutions, but there are many cases similar to mine on the internet.
    Do you know who repairs this? I am in the United Kingdom and I would like to fix it since I cannot use the Volta, which has cost me a bit expensive. As I mentioned, I've only used it a few times and I never thought that being an expensive product that looks robust that this would happen to me. Also the customer service is pretty terrible. Thanks for any help on this matter.

    how long does it take for the volta to charge?

  • @parenteseswebdev
    @parenteseswebdev 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Do you have to charge both 12 and Volta independantly ? I connected Volta to go pro but the battery lasted 3 mins. I paired them both and do the Volta provide power through cable to go pro as it runs out very quickly

      Agree as seeing as it’s not IP rated you would have thought that the remote part would clip out. But then they wouldn’t sell the standalone.

    What do you think about other video recorders in this style. Have you used the Insta360 hardware and then edited a clip?

    How do you use Fast Charge Model? With the Hero 10 battery dead, and the Volta Dead...it takes 4+ hours to charge both. (approx 2.5 hrs for Hero 10 and 2+ hrs for Volta. It charges the Hero 10 first, then switches to Volta.) (45W charger) Also, when I plugged in the Hero 10 to Volta, I got a "Updating Volta" notice on the Hero 10. Prior to that I was having random bugs with the Volta while using the Media Mod. Seems like all is normal now after that update notice.

    Is it just the hole in the bottom of the door that makes it non waterproof … or the sides and top of the door as well? Thinking about purchasing one to use while fly fishing … wouldn’t want to stumble and fall in the water with it … even though it might only be a few seconds under water … so if it were just a problem with the bottom hole in the door, that could be sealed easily with the cord inside … ie ,,. A bit of epoxy, etc.
    Thanks for the video.

    Great! That may be the perfect solution for the overheating problem. Just one problem: The Volta uses a USB-C port. So where or how can I connect my microphone that also uses a USB-C port? Any solution that you are aware of?

    Where do they sell GoPro Volta

  • @thomasraden
    @thomasraden ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Volta does not charge your Gopro when recording, it only charges when not recording. When recording the Gopro drains the battery until it is flat. After that the Gopro turns off and charges from the Volta. So to get extended filming time you need to remove the battery and power your Gopro from the Volta. A design limitation.

For the info, I bought it two weeks ago and having already the different accessories for chest, head, car etc., I’m not sure I will need it on constant basis.
