This is exactly the way I've done this spread for 55 years! Just perfect from the grinder through the Miracle Whip thank you so very much for displaying this way that's the best! I'm going to the store right now, my mouth is watering! Appreciate the love sent along with this and the memories it brings! Love and thanks

What a wonderful comment!! Thank you so much for taking the time to put that in a comment. My mom use to make this when I was a child growing up and I always loved it. A lot of people do not like miracle whip, but it is my favorite. Thank you for watching.!

I remember when Oscar Mayer used to sell a delicious sandwich spread made from ground bologna, relish, some dry mustard, a little vinegar (no mayo strangely enough) - encased in a cylindrical shaped clear plastic package, crimped at both ends. I always thought it was ham salad. Turns out it was just good old bologna. I always kept plenty in the Meats and Cheese drawer at the bottom of the fridge. I called it a "Ready When You Are Lunch in a Tube."

My Mother used to make this...Our roots are from Michigan. Anyway, this was my favorite sandwich growing up. I am laughing because of fond old memories. Caution: this stuff produces large amounts of methane....I set a world record for this after 2 sandwiches...never mind.

My mother was born in Michigan and lived in Indiana. She'd make this sandwich spread in large batches and keep it in the fridge for at least a day to 'set up'. Dad was a real fiend for this and she'd scold him if he got into it before she considered it 'ready'. Man, what great memories - especially the grinder. I'll have to make this!!

It took so long to ground that balogna, it's good you had that lovely classical guitar to listen to. I'd never heard of this spread, but I love the taste of balogna so I'll definitely make this. Thank you! And I enjoyed the music so much I gotta find out what it's called.

This bologna is called Koegel and it is made in Flint, Michigan. www.koegels.com is what is on the label. It is my favorite sandwich spread to make. I grew up with miracle whip, so that is what I am use to. But it seems the majority is definitely a mayo group. Thanks for watching.

My recipe, except Koegel is to high end for sandwich spread. I love Koegel for a meat tray, but use Oscar M, or Eckrich, for spread. It"s hard to beat, on white bread, with a cup of coffee.

@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan you know your equipment better than me. Towards the end, when you were cleaning and breaking it down,I noticed it was just a screw. Some of the old-fashioned ones I've seen have teeth! The bologna spread looks delicious! I was just browsing to see if other people had different spices they use and, maybe, different veggies. I think the cut and size of the veggies people add probably change the texture completely. It's whatever people's preferences are. I like trying all different varieties. I have a cuisine art multi mixer and get more of a paste consistency with my bologna.

Yeah I prefer to make mayonnaise myself that way I know what's in it And it tastes good Only problem is mayonnaise will go bad in the refrigerator about a week later But other mayonnaise won't what does that tell you it's full of preservatives Yuck
