If your sixth sense is telling you all is not right then that's the sign to do something about it. Fishing is an enjoyable experience, it can be frustrating none the less but more time concentrating on fishing and less on worrying then hopefully more fish on the hook. We're blessed up north with alternative safe havens to fish from. Keep up the good work. Love the vids
Love Amble, started fishing on the end where light is when I was 13, now 64. Pier was wooden back then and a lot more dangerous, but my dad kept me in check. Still got my old rod (Milbro 12’ rod bought out of Kay’s catalogue with my pocket money and a Garcia Mitchell 600p reel). Glad you still had time to make the video, stay safe.
Thanks Tony Amble is a great place to fish, I’ve had a few good sessions there in the past catching flatties, whiting, codling and haddock. I’ll definitely be going back. Great that you still have your rod and reel from back in the day, a great momento 👍
Just found your channel and subscribed. Thourghly enjoy it. Very brave out on the rough pier. Looking forward to seeing more. Stay safe and thanks for posting the video
Thanks for that video, it looked hard work. That gut feeling is your body telling you something isn’t right so you definitely did the right thing. Didn’t I see you using a baiting needle in another vid, that would’ve made life easier.
Thanks Jim Yeh I have a baiting needle, I need to look for one that works well with cart/squid - a few people have made suggestions so I’ll be looking to get one v soon 👍
We all have that session where nowt seems to go right ,you gave it a good go ,made the right decision and went home there’s always the next session keep it up 👍😁
A brave and determined effort Dannielle, but always trust your intuition when it comes to your personal safety. If a situation doesn’t feel good - get the hell out and pronto. As for having a blank’, it doesn’t matter a jot, your videos are always worth waiting for!
I have had sessions where you’re cold and wet and I get fed up and all you want to do is pack up and go home. But it’s surprising how quickly you get the urge to go again and all the anticipation comes back and you just start all over again. Put it behind you Danielle we all know you’ll come back full of enthusiasm. You’ve got the bug and you’re well and truly hooked. Love your videos ❤️🐟
Well done for being resilient Hinney it looked very cold im sure the next session there will be productive and well done for leaving that beach and staying safe tight lines .
I’m pleased to hear you say that you will fish with a mate next time, with winter coming and where you fish , I’d be happier watching you, knowing someone else is with you. I hate fishing on my own, also don’t get down on not catching, just make sure you enjoy it . I really enjoy watching your channel, you are a natural at making them , it’s not always the content that matters if the individual is entertaining, thanks Danielle 🎣🍻👍🏼
Thanks Steve I’ll will be pairing up for some videos this winter, but I will fish some familiar places solo too, I fish through the week as I work evenings on the weekends so it’s not always possible to get someone else to fish with. I will always stay safe though 👍
Your a brave woman Danielle 😮 fishing those conditions, had a good session Sunday 😊 , fishing in my mates boat , using lures and bait , out fished ( of course) by my granddaughter 😢 , caught dufish, Samson fish ( rubbish eating) snapper, released the big snapper she caught. Happy catching from Australia Nick 🇦🇺 PS she loves your accent 😊
Thanks Nick It was a huge sea that day, it fishes better rough around here so I thought I’d do ok, there was a few decent fish pulled out that night - just not where I was. Sounds like you had a good trip out, and well done to your granddaughter sounds like she’s on track to be a champion angler 🤩👍
I fish Blyth pier mainly in the dark and it’s amazing how many people walk along then look out turn around and walk back If you weren’t enjoying it you did the right thing in ending your session take care looking forward to your next fishing adventure
Hi,Danielle. I fish @80% at night as I prefer it to daytime fishing. However,I really need to keep my wits about me as I fish on my own and during the winter months the weather can be pretty crap🤣I have only had 2 occasions when I have become really uneasy and as soon as that happened I called it a day…there’s always next time, better to be safe than sorry.😀…keep up the great videos, best wishes from the Channel Islands😀🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣xxxx
Thanks Angela Night time is certainly more productive from the shore. I prefer making videos during daylight so it’ll be a mix of day and night videos through the winter. I’m hoping to get some decent cod this winter. Tight lines 🎣
As you gain experience fishing there’s always a sixth sense that kicks in sometimes and it’s wise to listen to it👍. Just to let you know the video production is coming on very well and the commentary is very slick and enjoyable - keep them coming Danielle
It's definitely not pleasant when it's cold and dark this time of year you need to fish with someone for safety it's nice to see angler's showing safety and tidiness. Always good videos.
I usually make squid and cart baits up in house freeze after wrapping in cling film, then keep them in a bait flask. Not as messy when baiting up also takes less time. Winter can be challenging but also rewarding when you have a productive session.
I’ve made some up since that session, it was much easier to do at home, I used bandage dressing to help keep together. Got a dozen or so in the freezer ready for next time out 👍
This evening, I watched your session on Amble pier. I could sense your disappointment at the session not working out as you had hoped, and I think you did exactly the right thing. Once things don't go the way you envisage, it can affect your confidence, so stopping and going home is something I've certainly done before. That said, I saw you trying to wrap squid and cart etc. Sometimes you need three hands don't you 😊. A few years ago, I saw a baiting tool advertised on Facebook I think. This was maybe 5/6 years ago, so I bought a couple. I took a photo of the baiting tool I bought but I couldn't figure out a way of attaching the photo. However Tronixpro make something very similar, except theirs has three 'needles' whereas mine has just two needles. I use mine all the time. I can load up black lug, etc, but then I can lay squid filled with cart on the needles and then wrap it all with bait elastic. The tool keeps everything steady while you wrap, rather than trying to wrap something that's on the move. So I have copied & pasted below an eBay advert for the Tronixpro baiting tool. I have one of these too, but I prefer the one I bought years ago with just two needles. Let me know if the link works please. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363658845126?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=uXR8v-RdTEO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=-yj4yauwTla&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Because of the lighting on the pier, it was difficult to see the cart you were using. I am sorry if you know about this already, but a lot of anglers make cart sausages, out of either corel or wings, by using finger bandages on a roll, together with the finger bandage applicator to make the sausages. I apologise if you know about all this stuff already. As Donald Rumsfeld famously said, I don't know what I don't know. I have no idea what you don't know 😀. TL.
Thanks Mike I’ve made some cart/squid wraps for my next trip out. I made them using the bandage dressing, and have them in the freezer on standby 😆 I’ll get myself one of them baiting tools, I just started using a baiting needle for worms and it is so much easier to bait up with it 👌
Some you win and some you lose.Amble pier is usually pretty good but if can get frustrating when there are people about. It would also be advisable to fish with a partner in the dark. Also if you don't feel safe fishing just ain't worth it. Keeping safe comes first Danielle 😊❤❤
Well done Hinny least you gave it your best shot in difficult conditions, never ceases to amaze me how rude and inconsiderate other so called anglers can be, you did right to move it's what you're happy and comfortable with at the end of the day, they're not representable of the majority, tight lines take care.
Hiya Hunny. Have you tried those bendy rod wraps to secure your rod to the pier? I've used them in big seas at Blyth pier and they do the job. And keep these excellent videos coming
We all get blanks on trips thats the fun of fishing next time personal best for you i bet cheers for another good adventure i better get my rods out for a night or two
Hi Anthony It’ll not put me off coming back up, I had a productive session there previously at the same spot - like all places it can be hit or miss. Hopefully less people next time 🤞
Lovely video unlucky on the blank safety first as for the bloke standing next to you what the hell was he doing I saw the northern lights fishing Hartlepool
ah cool I didn’t see the lights that night, it was just black sky when I was there, if I’d known they were going to be so visible I’d have stayed, just didn’t find out they were up until I got back home 🤷🏻♀️ typical 😆
Better luck next time Danielle, arnt some people ignorant at times, its like being on the beach and theres acres of space and the dog walkers throw the dogs ball right near ya tripod, anyway stay safe and tight lines x
Gut instinct pays off,it's scary fishing nighttime on your own piers especially, you hear sounds behind u etc ,lots of weird people about these days ,it's not with it ❤
If things ever feel off just pack in and go and there is no shame in it and always best to react on your instincts. I am a bloke can handle myself or at least give it back if someone is an idiot but there has been times night and day where I just packed up and went home as it is not worth the hassle and fishing should be enjoyable.
It's better to be safe than sorry, you did the right thing by moving, it's unbelievable how ignorant some of the human species are!! complete idiots if you ask me!, hope you're next session is more fruitful,
I have never seen anyone as rude as that bloke squeezing past you to set his camera gear up right next to you. I would have been tempted to put a squid and cart wrap in his coat hood. Ignorant man....🤬
You could always give Newbiggin bay a try, not the most prolific mark but it does offer up an occasional surprise plus its easily accessible and there will always be someone on the prom, should you feel threatened , uncomfortale or get into difficulties. chin up pet.

Fair do's. Take care. Glad you had a good session at Seaton Sluice after 😊
Thanks Gareth 🤩👍

I always err on the side of caution 👍
Hopefully I’ll catch some fish soon 🤞
Loving the channel. Great vids, keep up the good work...BRILLIANT...
Thank you 🤩
Well done for changing venue. Good Lass Hinny.
Thanks Ash
Shame I din’t get any fish, must try harder 😆

Yeh it’ll not stop me, I’m looking forward to getting out tomorrow for a nice long session, might even try out a new spot too 🤩👍🎣
Well done for being resilient Hinney it looked very cold im sure the next session there will be productive and well done for leaving that beach and staying safe tight lines .
Thanks Adam
It wasn’t too cold that night thankfully, I’ll definitely go back to Amble pier again in the future, one blank sesh won’t put me off 🤩
I’m pleased to hear you say that you will fish with a mate next time, with winter coming and where you fish , I’d be happier watching you, knowing someone else is with you. Follow youre instincts everytime,,,,no shame in packing up if things dont feel right !😊😊😊
Yeh, it’s pointless carrying on if you’re not feeling it, best try again another time
Well done and see you next time when the bigger fish will be about for sure !
Thanks Dave
Hope so 🤞

Ah thanks Stephen
That’s great of you to say, it’s always nice to have feedback on the production side of things too 🤩👍
It's definitely not pleasant when it's cold and dark this time of year you need to fish with someone for safety it's nice to see angler's showing safety and tidiness. Always good videos.
Thank you 🙏
It's all about having a go Danielle, if it doesn't feel right, gan yem lol. My pet hate is the bait not unclipping 🎣🎣
Haha yeh it’s really annoying when it happens, wasted bait in the water 🙄
I usually make squid and cart baits up in house freeze after wrapping in cling film, then keep them in a bait flask. Not as messy when baiting up also takes less time. Winter can be challenging but also rewarding when you have a productive session.

Well done girl. If you have any second thoughts then I can't fault you moving venues. You can always go back another day.
Thanks Lee
Yeh I’ll def go back there, daytime solo, and if it’s a night away I’ll pair up for safety 👍
Love your vids
Thanks Rob 👍

I’ll be doing some night fishing with other people too this year, as well as solo
Hats off to u lass brave girl on there at night stay safe enjoy Ur fishing n tight lines bonny lass
Thanks John
Next trip should be more enjoyable 🤞
Well done Hinny least you gave it your best shot in difficult conditions, never ceases to amaze me how rude and inconsiderate other so called anglers can be, you did right to move it's what you're happy and comfortable with at the end of the day, they're not representable of the majority, tight lines take care.

It was people with cameras, I later found out the northern lights were going to be visible, they were all there for that 🤷🏻♀️
Always found fishing the opposite side river at night casting towards marina best spot worth the mile walk from Warkworth carpark.
I’ll have to have a walk around that way and have a look 👍
Be safe at all times and do what you enjoy
Thanks Barry 🤩👍
Got to give it to you keep trying well done 😊
That’s it, you’ve got to be in it to win it 😆🤩👍
Hiya Hunny. Have you tried those bendy rod wraps to secure your rod to the pier? I've used them in big seas at Blyth pier and they do the job. And keep these excellent videos coming
Thanks Alan
I’ve not tried them, good idea though if sea is really rough and tugging at the rod for it to be secured fast to the rails 👍
Massive apologies. I typed this early this morning and have just realised I wrote Hunny instead of Hinny.
No worries Alan 👍
We all get blanks on trips thats the fun of fishing next time personal best for you i bet cheers for another good adventure i better get my rods out for a night or two
Thanks Derek
Let’s hope so 🤞
Not many fish about at the moment.
You certainly are keen.
Thanks Audrey
You’re right, not many fish past few trips, hopefully that’ll change soon 🤞
Hi, great video's, what brand of waders are you wearing.
Cheers
Thanks Terry
Waders are Snowbee neoprene, comfy and warm too 👍
Im from amble and i find fishing here is very much like this
Hi Anthony
It’ll not put me off coming back up, I had a productive session there previously at the same spot - like all places it can be hit or miss.
Hopefully less people next time 🤞

It does seem like we are invisible sometimes 🤷🏻♀️
You’ve got more bottle than me fishing in the dark by myself all kinds runs through your head 😅
Haha it does, everything seems amplified when it’s like that, I find the sea always sounds much bigger than it is in the dark
Gut instinct pays off,it's scary fishing nighttime on your own piers especially, you hear sounds behind u etc ,lots of weird people about these days ,it's not with it ❤
Ha yeh, it does get a bit creepy with sounds amplified in the dark 😱
Same last time I was out, pulled in weed, weed and more weed, but strangely enough, my hooks came back empty.
Yeh there’s loads of weed on the beaches atm, hopefully it’ll clear over time
If things ever feel off just pack in and go and there is no shame in it and always best to react on your instincts. I am a bloke can handle myself or at least give it back if someone is an idiot but there has been times night and day where I just packed up and went home as it is not worth the hassle and fishing should be enjoyable.

Always better to be safe than sorry 👍
Go and have a couple of pints Hinny, that should warm you up 😂
Haha I think I might have done just that when I got home Mick 😆
Nowt worse than arseholes kicking your rod and things if it was me they would be taking a dip lol
Yeh, just squeezing past and standing right next to the rod 🤷🏻♀️
At least you gave it a go, you won't catch anything sitting in the house.
That’s so true Garry 👍
I think you did the right thing if you’re not feeling comfortable.
🙏
cheer up hinn.
Thanks Brian
It was just one of those nights, I wasn’t sure if to post the video but thought it showed the reality of my night
Have u ever fished the back of u on other side
Just there, and round the corner at Collywell Bay. I’ll be looking at other marks around there in the future 👍
@@fishinghinny s fish walk way at park well light up houses near and railing i front of u at skate park had some good cod on a high water
I’ll check it out 🤩👍
Better luck next time
Thank you 🤩
You did best hinny never fish a beach ya self cause u never no when u cut of
Thanks Dazz
Yeh I thought best to throw caution to the wind that night
Really it’s always better if you can get a friend to fish with you when the seas are bit rough it makes you feel a bit at ease.
Yeh I’ll be pairing up for many of the winter sessions
It's better to be safe than sorry, you did the right thing by moving, it's unbelievable how ignorant some of the human species are!! complete idiots if you ask me!, hope you're next session is more fruitful,
Thanks David
I’m sure next sesh will be a good one 🤞
I have never seen anyone as rude as that bloke squeezing past you to set his camera gear up right next to you. I would have been tempted to put a squid and cart wrap in his coat hood. Ignorant man....🤬
Haha wish I’d thought of that on the night Ray 😆 he was very rude
You could always give Newbiggin bay a try, not the most prolific mark but it does offer up an occasional surprise plus its easily accessible and there will always be someone on the prom, should you feel threatened , uncomfortale or get into difficulties. chin up pet.
Yeh I’ve not fished Newbiggin bay before, but I definitely will do 👍
