    Funny I only did a video about 1 John 1:9 last week and I came to the same conclusion that we are totally forgiven, and that John was talking to non-believers or the lost.

    WOW!!! but I still feel nervous... I never EVER want to come to that place some Christians live in,i.e,we can sin because we're covered by the blood.God forbid.I have a fear of God's wrath and I want to live for Him daily out of love and that new heart attitude.God bless Andrew Farley Ministries.such an encouragement.

      Praise the Lord! As a fellow believer I'm so happy for you! We all struggle with many things in our walk but one things for sure that Christ will not leave us, or forsake us! Even if we are weak in faith at times and our minds are being renewed! God Bless you!

  • @blakeclarkson9954

    When I've slipped up and sinned in the past, if i even realize I have sinned, after I feel regret and sorrow, I do the same thing and say: I'm sorry Lord strengthen me in the future and then I give thanks, because the Spirit reminds me of what Jesus did for me through his grace and the security I have in him now through his death, burial and resurrection! And I'm reminded by the spirit of the forgiveness that I have in Christ and I get filled with great joy and hope after this! Without Christ we would be completely lost and damned, because of our weakness in sin. There is no hope apart from him! He's our life line! But the idea that after your saved, you're going to remember to confess all your sins and if you don't your lost, is simply not true! Were saved by the work of God, not our perfect memory!

      @@achildofgods8821 You are obviously the one that's being deceived, if you don't believe the blood of Christ is powerful enough to pay for sins.

      Joey Hall it’s only difficult for the Pharisees or the rich man(as Jesus said). Anyone who confesses Jesus as the Son of God and opens the door of their lives to him are saved. Forever. Period.

      Joey Hall you should look up your Greek verb tenses and also what disobedience really is in Hebrews. It means unbelief. Those who don’t believe will not enter the rest. Those who believe do. God enables us to say no to sin but you are deceiving yourself if you think 1) as a believer you no longer sin or 2) committing a sin causes you to lose your salvation. Both are directly opposed to the whole counsel of scripture.

    • @karricompton
      @karricompton 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Joey Hall living in sin(under its power as an unbeliever) is totally different than committing a sin. Do you get that? You sin every day. It doesn’t mean you aren’t saved. It means you are still being transformed by the renewing of your mind. It is a process to get out of the old habits of sin. And even when sin is not a habit, it can still happen in a moment of fleshly desire. We immediately turn from that and move on. Christ IS our righteousness. He makes us holy. Our performance does not make us saved. I don’t think you are getting this. It’s God’s will for us to do good works, but doing them doesn’t mean we don’t sin, nor does it mean he will ever let us go because we weren’t perfectly obedient. In this life we won’t be! This is why Christ died! He is not impotent! He can keep those who he saved! Even when we sin, we are IN HIM. Legalism kills. The grace of God teaches us to say no to ungodliness. It’s a learning process. The thief in the cross never obeyed anything. He only believed and went to be with the Lord.

      @@achildofgods8821 "eventually" "gradually" ......
      This isn't a gradual Salvation!
      Jesus didn't gradually die for us, pieve by piece.
      He did it once and for all. We don't and CAN'T earn our way to Heaven by our own efforts and deeds. Or by " good behavior".
      We can only get there by Him and because of Him. Not because of us.

    Where there is light, there is no darkness. Satan and God can not coexist. Neither do sin and righteousness. One who sins will die.One who repents and forsake his sins will prosper and live.

    Shall we continue is sin, that grace may abound? GOD FORBID. There are no accounts when you cannot sin. If you sin you "condemnest yourself" as Romans 2:1. Read Romans 13:8-10.

    • @karricompton
      @karricompton 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simon Skinner Christians still sin because we still live in our lbidy, the flesh, which is at war with our new heart and new spirit. However, we are no longer slaves to sin as a believer, so we can choose not to. When we do sin, we confess and turn from it. But it has already been forgiven long ago.

    • @simonskinner1450
      @simonskinner1450 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karricompton then I suggest you read Romans which was written to baptised Christians. As Romans 2:1 it tells those who hold the truth in unrighteousness they condemn themselves. But as Romans 8:1 At Paul tells them there is no condemnation for those who walk-in the Spirit. Christians condemned or not by their behaviour. This is the same sentiment of Hebrews 10:38-39 for baptised Jews that go back into perdition. Condemnation or perdition await all baptised with the Holy spirit that sin according to Romans 13:8-10.

    • @karricompton
      @karricompton 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Simon Skinner there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We are justified and made righteous forever by Jesus. We choose to live in this reality daily by walking with the Spirit but will sin still from time to time because we live in this earth in fleshly bodies. No Christian will ever be judged by behavior. This is a works based religion, totally in opposition to the message of grace through faith. The GIFT of God, not by works.

    • @simonskinner1450
      @simonskinner1450 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karricompton not by sacrificial works which were the mainstay of Mosaic Law. Faith is conviction in action as Hebrews 11:1 tells us, the substance of hope and evidence of hope, and to walk in the Spirit is a command. Only doers of there law shall be justified by Christ, and the law is righteousness, and all sin is unrighteousness.
      The Reformation was a gnostic hoax. We need the grace of Christ for salvation, and we must deserve his mercy,came the Holy Spirit is our witness as Romans 2:15 and 8:16 concur. Remember grace is not the licence to sin, but the liberty from sin.

    • @karricompton

      Simon Skinner read Hebrews my friend. And Romans. We are DEAD to the Law. We are not under the Law. It only points out sin. Why would I need to seek to follow all this laws when, by walking with the Spirit, I will never be led into sin, only to His fruit. Besides, the Law wasn’t made for Gentiles. Period. My only law is to love God and love others. Period.
