"Because then it becomes all about you and not him." That's the statement that touched my heart. Thank you

@@robertdavis2147 😢❤️thank you so much for kind words. So many attacks from the enemy. I don't even feel safe in my own home. I just keep praying and trusting my Abba.

We are so blessed to have you, Andrew..what a great counselor you are! I wish my dad could have heard your words..he always thought he needed to stop the smoking and cussing that his old sailor mouth used as adjectives before her could make Jesus proud of him..I pray that many will hear your words of encouragement.

You know...I just cannot do the happy clappy be good church thing. I just cant. I smoke and drink (but not much these days) and the occasional swear word does come out, if warranted. Its not about works etc. Christ said 'It is finished' just before he died.

G'Day Andrew from Australia. This Total Surrender concept was really sent Home in my Early Thirties and I could never do enough for Total surrender. This "Comitment" Theological term can destroy Christians and the Faith of many. See you by Christmas I hope.

This "surender" is pictured as an eagle on a mountain lifts up its wings and let the wind lifts the eagle up and fly.

What about the verse I hear all the time, "Whoever would come after me must take up his cross and follow me"? I just heard a popular pastor say "You know you're saved by answering the question, 'Who's the BOSS in your life? Or have you made Jesus the LORD of YOUR life? Because He is THE Lord of all, even of the demons but the reason that they are demons in first place in Hell is because they never surrendered to Christ or are obedient to Him." How would you answer to that?

Have I made Jesus the Lord of my life? Lol, Jesus is Lord. God made him so Acts 2:36, I don't make him so, I only acknowledge his lordship.
Secondly "take up your cross and follow me" is not about believers, Believers have followed Jesus to the cross and we have died with him and have been given a new life, the life we have is created after God in righteousness and holiness, so we don't need to deny it, "take up your cross and follow me" was to unbelieving Jews, not saved believers.
