Looked up a article about the swiss "painter": So, to commemorate its 20 years as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it asked Swiss artist Felice Varini to get involved. He created concentric yellow circles, which are made from aluminum and attached to the castle’s walls. They will be removed in September and will not cause any lasting damage.

The reason trucks drive side by side like that is because some trucks can only go a set speed so sometimes one needs to pass the other but they're going the same speed and one doesn't slow down so it takes a while to pass
My mate was a white van man and sometimes I'd go out on rounds with him - gave me something to do while being out of work. We overtook another white van and tucked neatly in front of it.
The driver of that van must have been really offended because he overtook us - which took about ten minutes of us driving side by side while he painfully inched ahead until he could triumphantly tuck in in front of us - and then immediately slowed down to half a crawl.
Whereupon my mate overtook him again and left him standing - we were going at less than the legal speed so it shows how slow and clapped-out that other van was.
By the way yeah my dad owns a truck and that happens a bit

I feel this. The other week I was driving my work truck that can only top 90 km/h, and I was sitting behind this one 4-wheeler on the highway that kept driving in irregular speeds, going from 80 km/h up to 100 and back down to 80. Once I found enough space to overtake him, he decided to speed up just enough that it took me minutes to overtake him. As I didn't want to occupy the passing lane too long, I turned on my indicators in hopes that he would get the point, which he obviously didn't. So in the end, I felt that I had no choice but to cut in front of him with almost only inches to spare before we reached a construction zone. And get this, the jerkwad flashed his high-beams at me several times after that, as if I hadn't given him all the time in the world to be a nice driver and let me back in the slow lane so I wouldn't end up with a mile long queue of other infuriated drivers.
I haven't encountered anyone who've been both so oblivious to their own crappy driving and simultaneously so self-righteous on the roads before in my 10+ years of driving. Except maybe one of my co-workers, who's a prick about everything by default.
There is no excuse.
5:51 The reason truckers often take time to pass eachother is because the trucking companies modify the trucks to often go a max speed which is oftenly 65 MPH so you can’t really go faster than another truck to pass it quickly.

13:15 Lexi, I also used to wear combat boots for similar reasons but a few years back I switched to boots made for emergency personnel. They feel and look a lot like combat boots but they have a zipper to open and close them for quick access.
Sure, they're a bit more costly but it's worth it if you have to remove and put on your shoes more than once a day, trust me.
My preferred brand is Haix but there's lots more out there you could probably get for cheaper.

4:23 someone parked their truck like in the sidewalk and my sister tripped over the hitch, she was 7 months pregnant. Luckily both her and the baby are fine, and due in September.

"slap a teacher" makes me sad because you just *know* the kind easygoing teachers are the ones that are going to be assaulted. And thays how nice teachers lose their passion.
Exactly. I have a really chill art teacher and people always take advantage of her because she let's them actually draw what they want. I remember one day some of the kids just decided they wanted to take over her computer without asking. They wasted all of the paint and materials as well and now she has no money to buy anymore materials. Plus all of the kids in there are really popular kids who only come to that class to screw around, it's sad. And when the teacher actually wants them to do work they use the excuse "I can't draw".

About the leaves: Apparently, from what my dad told me a couple years ago, termites can use the leave to get to your house a lot quicker than just going through the grass in later fall. But that’s a parent telling me their reasoning, so who knows if it’s true
6:00 I remember driving with my dad and my sister on a highway that was pretty well known for human trafficking. We hit a truck stop and got out of the car for a bit to stretch our legs and everything, got back in the car and continued our journey. Twenty minutes later we have five police cars on our tail and two semis blocking us from passing. They thought we were kidnapped, but that got cleared up later.

hi I wanted to explain 17:46, art schools and states will often have graduating students or more equip students paint traffic control boxes to liven up communities and have students scouted for colleges. A great example is in Las Vegas, they have art schools near the Historical 5th, and that entire street is covered in wall murals and painted boxes. so essentially who ever graffitied over it just destroyed a students art. Its all protected by the school/state and no ones allowed to paint over it except the original student or whoever they allow to paint on it
When my uncle would take me metal detecting with him he told me to replace the dirt and pull the grass off as solid as possible to keep the damage low.

I bonged my knee on dads tailgate many times
okay those “devious lick” challenge thingies were so annoying. i hardly used the restrooms (paranoia and dysphoria is so fun) but when i did, THEY WERE DESTROYED! i almost fell into the toilet because someone shattered the seat and when i went into another stall they stole the toilet paper cover. i couldn’t wash my hands because they took the soap but i was so glad that i happened to carry hand sanitizer with me that day. the damaging stuff has mostly died down but it’s extremely annoying to find things you use every day either stolen or broken. i have a ceramics class with guys who i think did the challenges (dudes reak of toxic masculinity and they constantly try to break things) and i hope to god that they don’t end up going ham on the vases we make
i deal with crowds by opening my fairly small rainbow umbrella, holding it in front of me, and just walking forward. if they are facing me and don't move out of the way, that is their fault. i need the umbrella so i don't instantly turn to ash as i step out of the shadows.
6:50 The reason for truckers doing that is because most companies have governors in them that make the truck go a certain speed but not over (most trucks are set as 60 mph or 96 K/PH) truckers usually wait for the other to slow down so they can pass.

When I was in school, people walking in the middle of the hall was my biggest pet peeve. If my friends started drifting to the middle, I would pull them back to the side, and if I had to get past someone in the middle, you bet they were gonna get shoulder checked.

My colleagues and I were officially ordered to report to our college every day AND teach over zoom and stuff during the lockdowns.
Funny thing, several of the colleges in our district only recently received barely functional power and completely disfunctional wifi connections.
Forget rewards, we don't even get paid what we are due. And to think we are tenured government employees!

4:13 as someone who works at a landscaping company, it is sometimes unavoidable. A lot of trucks are long, way longer than cars. Your options at that point are either halfway on the sidewalk or halfway into the parking lot, especially if there’s a plow on the truck.
Fair enough, but if your truck's gonna stick into the sidewalk, at least don't reverse into the parking spot. Those tow hooks are easy to miss in the dark and can seriously hurt a pedestrian!

The whole Slap a Teacher thing had some really dubious origins, it might have started as an adult created moral panic (like a guest on Oprah being the original source for the idea of “rainbow parties” which never actually existed.) So an adult creates this nonsense, shares it with other adults, and the adults are the ones who share it with students in the first place. “Can you believe all the other cool kids are doing this? You better not!”
Still mildly infuriating, but for different reasons

6:03 the reason why they do it is that it controls traffic flow. Most traffic jams happen because someone tapped their breaks because someone else cut them off. With trucks doing this, all at the same speed, passing becomes impossible. The more trucks that do this, in pairs, the better the flow is.
They are correcting the speed on the highway.
It seems counter intuitive because they have limiters and go a little slower than traffic would without them, but they prevent jams this way which means everyone gets to where they are going at a reasonable speed.
I think it’s actually because one truck is trying to pass each other but they can’t because they’re both going the speed limit on their trucks, which is the same

[For some context: I, my young trans self, am not trying to be weird, I have a hard time listening to some voices due to sensory issues (which is also one of the reasons i watch Emkay in the first place) and Lexi is one of the people I do wish to be like when i am older]
I just watched over 2 hours of Emkay along, with my best friend, Looking for videos with Lexi in them. (Becuase, with said sensory issues, i have a hard time listening to some voices and noises and Lexi's voice is very calming personally and very reasonable while also being funny. haha brain go brrr)

The biggest devious lick I've preformed is putting those little golden star stickers with faces onto the nameplates of my teacher's rooms. They love them and I made sure they weren't too sticky and can be taken down easily enough if the teacher wants to!
8:48 no trust me school lunches are WORSE than prison food most of the time. Brother is currently about to be released after violating probation and says the lunches are mostly good. Minus a few times when budgets are getting tight or ordered too much food so they're eating leftovers he says it's much better than when we were in high school.
Most schools in my town serve actually good meals. So I just assumed all schools had lunch like ours. But now Looking at some of these meals I realize that my school is probably much better than some places. At least food wise.
