to Lexi: in most european countries our elevators start with zero for ground floor, then 1 for first floor
and -1 and such is for garages underneath the building, or subterranean apartments in some rare cases
to anyone wondering, brazil follows that formula too.

where im from in Finland the ground level is usually a letter like K or U or something like that many times its U because its the first letter of the word ''ulos'' which means ''out'' in Finnish. Its that because the ground level is where you can get out of the building
In germany its EG for Erdgeschoss (ground floor).
Same thing in most American buildings with an underground parking structure. Hotels also do this except replace "0" with "P" for Parking or "G" for Ground Floor.
The worst thing is that "böse" doesn't even translate to angry but evil instead

0 is ground floor (floor with street access, just in case this isn't an American thing??) And LG is lower ground, if there are 2 exits with access to ground on different levels. Sometimes if LG is present, an 'upper ground' may also be present :)
In the UK 1st floor is ground floor
And the -1 is the basement (below ground level). ;)

In school I've learned UK has the ground floor, first and so on and in America it usually starts with first. Maybe it's a mistake because it's just school and sometimes I feel like they're also still teaching the kids that there are only two genders and whites are 'more evolved' idk
I'm in the US I've seen ground be both the lobby be the underground garage in different hotels of course so sometimes the first floor is the lobby but in other hotels it is ground so it's weird.

One of the dumbest things I recall working at a hotel was the time the smoke detector was going off in this room of adults in their early 20s and when my manager and I went to investigate, they said that someone was in the shower and the steam set it off.
1) The shower wasn’t on.
2) That had never happened before or after the incident in any of the hotel rooms.
3) We could clearly smell weed from where we were standing in the doorway.
In Europe, we have the ground floor, usually the "0", and the minus mean basement floors.

The floor zero images I'm assuming are from the UK. Here, our first floor is not the bottom floor, it's the next one up. The bottom floor is called the ground floor and in lifts (elevators) it's often denoted by "0". LG means Lower Ground (basement).

I'm quite lucky that my country have more than half a million of vacancies for IT personal so the companies have to scrape bottom of the barrel and hire students so that's how I got my current job

About the fire alarms: There are 2 different kinds of fire alarms!Those for places with water vapour and those for places without water vapour. I spoke to a fire alarm tester last year and apparently there's laws in the Netherlands about putting the right ones in the right places as well. If you are in a rented place and notice frequent false fire alarms, look into it.
Apperantly there are also alarms that react to a certain level of heat instead of smoke.
They are used in places where smoke (especially cold smoke) is used/produced a lot, like in a kitchen.
In this point of the video (3:00) that’s how British elevators work 0 is ground floor -1 is the basement

In Europa, it's common to count the floors from the Ground Up. This means that the Ground floor is 0 and everything below is -1; -2 etc. While in the US and I'm sure in other regions too it's counted from the lowest floor up.

3:46 Ex Domino's employee here. Never seen a delivery charge higher than $3.99. Don't know how tf they ended up with one of $10. Even with orders of 50+ pizzas, it never went higher than $3.99.
Also, the reason Drivers don't carry more than $20 ON THEIR PERSON WHILST ON SHIFT is in case of robbery. They're forced to go out into some dangerous areas unarmed. It may not surprise you to know that in the US, we do it differently from everywhere else in the world. The 1st floor is the ground floor, and basement floors are called UG or B or LL. If there are two ground floors due to a slope, the lowest ground floor is the 1st floor. The only time I can think of that I've seen this done differently in the US is at my university where the engineering building had 3 basement levels and the ground floor was the 4th floor.

In itself this whole answer is incorrect, when you answer the question "How do you feel today?" with böse it whould mean the noun since there is no explicit word for referece.
Example:"How does the weather look like?"
The reference word is weather and allows a one word answer like good, bad or sunny.
But as a translation for angry (wütend, sauer, zornig) absolutly unfitting.
And only a child would use it as a another word for angry because a adult would be gifted a "Duden" at his/her next birthday.

Floor 0 is actually really common in some countries, 0 is ground floor in some countries, say Netherlands for example, some elevators is B (ground floor) or there is 0 indeed, -1 or -2 is common for parking garages or basements im not really sure what was wrong with the elevator thingy

On the Domino's delivery fee, they are required to say it isn't a tip for the driver for tax reasons. That doesn't mean the driver doesn't get any. I don't know the specifics, but some of the fee goes to reimburse the driver for milage and wear and tear on their car. (If you work at a place that has these fees and doesn't reimburse you for that, quit, your franchisee is ripping you off.)

Can confirm. The number of times i've had to walk teens and young adults through basic moving of files from one folder to another is depressing. I blame Windows 8 being mostly a tablet OS and everything being apps on the big blocky start menu by default so alot of kids who started with that never learned basic computer use.
Fire alarms uses radioactive material to check for particles in the air. Anything that blocks the signal, including steam from showers, will set it off.
What's really infuriating is the fact that my schools lunch room has all the ceiling lights off center.
