I've started my social media detox , no instagram, no twitter, made this brand new youtube account to only watch videos that actually help and is inspiring. I thought a book rec video would be great because i was never a reader but i need to spend my time doing something that is not on my phone>.< so i literally searched 'book recommendations' and your video is the first one to show up. I liked this instantly you explain things so well and your voice is clear you got me intrigued with just explaining a bit of the story of the first book! Good quality content:)
I see you’re a fellow MY, and a Ning biased also! :D Reading is such a great habit to pick up, it personally helps me get off my phone so much! Welcome aboard 🙌🏼
I finished the Farseer trilogy yesterday. I started it because you recommended it several months ago. I enjoyed it very much. Moving on to the next trilogy
Daisy Jones is excellent! It definitely gives off great summer vibes. Also, I love Austen, so I may have to pick up Dangerous Alliance, even though I don't normally read romance. I only have the last book to go in the Inheritance trilogy; really hope it ends well!
I just finished Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and I loved it! It would have been way better to read on a beach or getting cozy in some hotel room rather than in my car on my lunch breaks or my couch at home... But nevertheless, I'd recommend it for anyone who loves 1980s stories with some flashbacks. Main story takes place over 24 hours, but there are flashbacks to, as TJR has been doing for a couple years now, their rock star father meeting their mother and their love story. No one does a fictional celebrity story the way she does. This may be the book that pushes me to read Daisy Jones & The Six!
I am about to start The Kiss Quotient as my very first fully adult romance novel. I am almost 25, and I have never read an adult romance. I know I am late to this book, but I chose this book because it will be very special to me. I also have Asperger’s Syndrome like the main character in the book, so I am very interested in how this book goes. I also have no experience with romance, other than a handful of movies, and a few YA romance books that I read within the last few months. That is if you don’t count Tris and Four’s epic relationship in Divergent… and we all know how that ended. Tears for all of us! Well, I should probably stop putting the book off like I have done for several days. I just don’t don’t know if I am ready for a book that is described as “steamy”. Wish me luck.
I hope you enjoy it! I didn’t start reading romance until my late 20s, I think because they get a bad reputation and people view them as “trashy.” Luckily I’ve gotten over that and there are so many wonderful books to read!
Reagan, you should read We Hunt the Flame by Hafzah Faizal. You will LOVE it. The world building, the romance, the writing, OMG. So far my favorite book of 2021. The series is only a doulogy and it is a PAGE TURNER. The audiobooks are also great! Btw, I absolutely live your videos. You have such a soothing voice and you enthusiasm about books never fails to make my throw my card at Amazon and buy more books. Thank you for the great content :)
Hi Reagan! I recomend a book from brazilian author, Here the whole time, its YA queer book about a shy boy spend your summer vacations with your crush. Its cute and super fun!
All That You Are - Elicia Roper Synopsis: This novel tells the story of Athena and Caiden. Caiden is strong willed and self-less, he puts the needs of his family and friends above his own. Athena is a firecracker with a kind-hearted soul. As they go through the journey of life you will see how Athena and Caiden bring comfort to each other, as they learn to cope and mend with the pain of loss and heartbreak.
Me : *thinking* WHY DO I MISS THE NOTIFICATION? also me: realising I missed it bcoz I was binge watching all of Reagan's vlogs (One of those vlogs is playing in the background while I'm typing this) and I never cared to reload youtube for days😂😂😂 Even worse.....All summer recs are coming at the end of summer during the beginning monsoon season (I live in India)🤣
We love Reagan! We were challenged to read all of Robin Hobb’s Realm of the Elderling series and are having a great time. Currently on Book 8 and loving it.❤️
Robin Hobb and Carlos Ruiz Zafon are my most favourite writers! Can't wait for your thoughts and ideas on the rest of their series, Realm of the Elderlings and Cemetery of Forgotten Books.
As someone who has always been obsessed with Almost Famous, Daisy Jones felt like it was made for me! That audiobook was perfection. The only audiobooks I have ever actually heard are this and HP. So my standards are astronomical. Nothing will ever live up to them.
Try the Diviners series by Libba Bray. It was the first audiobook I got into and since I generally don't like audiobooks, it really surprised me when it captured me in the first few minutes. I have only listened to the first book in the series but the rest of the books are positively reviewed and the narrator is fantastic.
I just finished Jemisin's Broken Kingdoms, and I look forward to book 3. I am buddy reading Broken Earth. We are currently reading The Obelisk Gate. Her writing is so layered. This week I have the Audiobook for The City We Became, and I anticipate I will be emerced and invested quickly. My new to me fave author for sure.📚📚🥰📚📚
I was originally going to pick up Daisy Jones but then I heard many not so great reviews so I didn't. I might pick it up this summer though because you kinda sold it to me! Haha
I read The Angel's Game (I think it was called) quite a few years ago and didn't like it half as much as Shadow so I never bothered looking for more. Would you say the others are worth it?
@@ramahpalmer7089 I actually haven't read them.. if read some of his standalone novels but I haven't read this saga yet. It's in my TBR for the summer... I think his books are the kind of books that the experience of reading it really depends on your mood
I want someone to talk about me like Reagan talks about Robin Hobb books
