Just bought a 6.0 gas from someone who had to have the cats cut off because they couldn’t replace the factory ones that were clogged up, and was thinking about doing an exhaust for it and couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do to it. So this helps me figure out what it would sound like and how I need to run it
As long as it has a cat in each pipe coming from the manifolds then dual pipes all the way out the back then it’s “true true” duals. Having cats doesn’t change that.
Good video man! I just got a 03 Sierra 2500hd with the 6.0 in it. I’ve got essentially the exact same exhaust as yours on my old 05 with the 5.3 and it sounds awesome. I just recently had a flowmaster single outlet put on my 6.0 and it’s got an obnoxiously loud sound from 1500-2700 rpm’s and I’m not gonna leave it this way. I’m thinking of going your route and true duals with 3 inch and no cats. Did you do anything for the O2 sensors? On my old truck I used spark plug non foulers to to trick the O2’s so no check engine light would be on. Also how’s the sound on your truck curious say between 40-55? Doesn’t help I’ve got 4.10 gears so mines cranking some rpm’s pretty quick
I also have 4:10s. Sound is not bad between 40-55. I run those speeds and also 70 to 80 on the highway regularly and it's not terrible. Anything under 3k rpm is pretty mild, just a nice rumble
@@w.e.smithereens8178 it’d be a lot easier if you just look it up on here. If you search “spark plug non fouler o2 sensor” on TH-cam there’s multiple videos showing you what to do and explaining it. They’ll do a better job than me trying to tell you in a text ya know. I will tell you I did it with my truck and it’ll randomly throw the check engine light on then sometimes it’ll go off. I’ve checked it and it’s because of the cats being off the truck now. But I’m not sure the exact reason. I’ve just let it ride and don’t really care. It doesn’t affect the truck either way

Yes but cat's sound like crap in my opinion. To me, true duals don't have catalytic converters
Sounds really good some 5 or 6" tips would give I slightly deeper tone. I'm running full 3" on my 5.7 vortec no cats 5" chrome tips

Your like 4 years out from grandfatherin bro, some states I think require cats and O2s and all that so it might be rough.
