Glad you like the truck I helped build. I cringed when you cut the exhaust tip off. Mostly because I install the exhaust at Flint assembly. The new tip is nice. Also the water separator fuel filter get installed on the opposite side of the line from me. Proudly built by UAW 598 in Flint Mi.
The duramax exhaust brake wants you to either be in cruise control or you must tap the brake to engage the exhaust brake and downshift. It works very well.
Yeah it says in the owners manual to press the brake for a short duration and if more braking is required to hold it a little longer. It’s great even without a load on going down icy hills in my town in Canada, saves the brakes and rotors etc.
Man, the best upgrade for the 2024 over previous gen has gotta be the frame coating. I hate the waxy crap that falls off and rusts. Seems like this is like an e-coated frame or something that at least resembles what everyone else is doing. Slow Clap for GM for actually catching up with everyone else.
The first day I got my 24 home I cut the tip off and added exactly the same style tip. I have done the same to the last 3 2020+ trucks I have had with no problems. These 24s are to sensitive even for that. I had to weld the stock pinched tip back on and have it reset….
Just for the people freaking out and wondering why there are still vents in the tip the stock tip allow the truck exhaust gasses to not reach 1000 degrees f and if it's not deleted without a vented tip when truck does a regen cycle its gonna melt anything and burn anything in the way of the exhaust.
Definitely worth it adding bags in the back! I put some on my ram 1500 because with them having coil spring rear suspension it just needed a boost when I hauled heavier loads!
14:23 tap on where it says guest trailer that's how you change and add trailer profiles the there's a tab on the right that says switch profiles... You can only do it in park
I was going to get an Ford F250 or 350. But now after watching this video, I am switching over to GMC 2500 Denali HD with the Diesel motor. Why because they combine both luxury and the hard work that I want in a truck I love the King Ranch F250 and 350 but GMC is much better I feel.
The Curt setup you can get as a dealer option kind of sucks. I had the B&W for our Ram that was the same style as this one and may replace the Curt we got with the truck.
Great video though I've heard horror story's about the at4 I got a 03 lb7 with a fass lift pump and a few extra goodies but 7.5 mpg I'm triple that bud I pull 24 in the city and 28.5 on interstate loaded up to 16500 but hopefully this truck works well for ya best of luck
@@huskerfaaan the same lol I can't believe it but it does and I get 425 miles outta my tank and that's 475 it says I can go but I do love my turbski lol
Yes,do some videos of your process of getting equipment service ...selling..and don't use your truck for work..that's why you have work trucks..waiting for your new pete videos..keep up the great videos..
Maybe work on balancing the pay load on the trailer. You had way to much weight forward on the trailer. Causing excessive squat. Yes bags will help. But you also have to balance the trailer right. Proper balance and you would of had a smoother ride and would be not bouncing down the freeway.
Did you delete this truck? Looks like k saw the DPF sitting behind you next to the lift. Maybe that’s why your truck sounds so loud and you have a check engine light on?
When you change factory components like the fuel filter assembly to an after-market brand doesn't it void the warranty? I also wonder if pushing a brand-new engine like that doesn't allow proper engine break in.
I came to the conclusion I’m not modding my truck until the warrantee is out, went thru hell and back with Ram over dealer aftermarket parts when it came to my warrantee
that is mostly true for bumper pull trailers, little diff % when its a gooseneck. That trailer is more ment for a bigger truck being it has double real duals.
@@arbiter1 it is true for any trailer/load and even semi trailers...I've pulled trailers for over 50 years I know what I'm saying, it is so that the load/weight goes to the axil of the trailer especially for HEAVY loads and not the rig that's pulling it. we will have to agree to disagree I guess
I know you have to make a living for wife and kid plus your employees but that would make a nice tractor to do a giveaway with Anyway hope all is well and good have a blessed day!

I hate it why isn't it like a heavy truck back out of throttle Jake brake comes on
@royamberg9177 Actually, most newer big rigs are this way as well unless you change it in the settings
I wish I could change it I grew up if you back off throttle it comes on it give you that much more braking in a hurry
try reading the owner manual
Yes, I think it would be good to see the process of buying, fixing up, & selling that tractor - it would be good for potential customers to see.
Dude the logo on the grill is MY INITIALS!❤ GMC!!
Love to see people modding the 2024 Gmc's :) make a video of all the upgrades so far.

Those l5ps have crazy power for a stock 6.6. Definitely needs bags, that thing was freighted
Holy tongue weight Batman
That truck looks amazing! Definetly best looking brand new diesel truck. And yes please do a video about that tractor

That thing is screaming for some rear bags omg lol
That Exhaust Tip would make my old OBD Ford Big Block Sound a lot better!!!
Now i know!

Bruce is like a street legal Whistlindiesel
Whistlindiesel makes alot of crazy videos but never sprayed his own truck an made a fake video blaming a viewer.
@@-RyN-23 & Cody does it on purpose too. Bruce is just an idiot.
Hell yeah brother!
7.2 mpg towing 23k lbs at 80mph when a half tone would get 3.5- 5 mpg towing 10k lbs…. These diesels are so efficient honestly
Yeah mate film the process. Be interested to see what you do to tractors to tidy them up
Need airbags for the back on the ol dirtymax🤘🏼🇺🇸
I love the exhaust tip!
I’d like to see some tractor transformations Bruce, thanks for all your time spent filming.
you mean tracor
@@farmer1129 you mean tratter
@@phcllc24 I believe you're referring to a twattor

not gunna lie. would like to see a tractor auction again
Love the content brother
I think so it makes good content for your channel mr Bruce.
20:18 bless you
Would love to see you find up that tractor👍👍
14:23 tap on where it says guest trailer that's how you change and add trailer profiles the there's a tab on the right that says switch profiles... You can only do it in park
Yes lets see a video from start to finish of rehabing the tractor
0:45 Epa don't look at the background table you would hate to see what's left sitting there looks like a rocket project with lines n stuff
Yes! We want to see the tractor content!
U should get air bags for the rear
Holy overloaded Batman..😮
sure got mighty dirty on a brand new truck.
Yes film the process of cleaning up and selling. along with the outcome
Yeah, she look good hauling that trailer 😎👍🏾 my air bags for backup
Good looking truck Bruce!
Nice truck Bruce! I guess if it was mine and I was going to haul loads like that I’d think about a rear airbag load leveling system. Just me thought.
Very nice truck Bruce! I think it would be cool to see the process of getting the tractor ready to sell. Does that GMC pull harder than your 5500 Ram?
Of course not
Thank goodness you bought a GM vehicle!
That tip looks sick on the truck
Dam Bruce that sure is a nice setup
Good job ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
These DMaxs are beats my pulls like a frieght train
Love the truck other then newer trucks look way better on stock with mudd tires 😊

It’s just me, but if I’m towing that much weight, I would have gone with a 1 ton Dooley.
Exactly. All these Stuart's out here with the "look what I can do" mentality. It works until it doesn't anymore.
Dually
Easy 🐐
Badass truck one of my favorites ❤
Gotta love that new undercoat lol
Yes film fixing it!!
That hitch set up is really sweet. Can you show us some more about it and how you feel about it. I've been looking for a nice drop in hitch
The Curt setup you can get as a dealer option kind of sucks. I had the B&W for our Ram that was the same style as this one and may replace the Curt we got with the truck.
I’d go with the 35, if you’re working like that. Always better to have the bigger truck for the load. 🙏
She Pulls like a Bull . But squats like a kitten . Like everyone else said. Big bag it Nice ride Good Luck
I have 24 at4 and absolutely miss the exaust Brake on my 22 limited Cummins
Do you have a lift or leveled and what size wheels and tires are those?
19:21 yes I would love to see that
yes film the process

Great video, just got this truck and cant wait to start towing with it. @Bruce - What was the gross weight of the trailer and tractor at full load?
Hey bruce, i like your glasses
Need some airbags on that thing! I’m liking my L5P!
What’s the wheel and tire setup
Seen your grey ram 5500 on i75 headed south Friday afternoon. Looking shape

keep the clips coming
What would the difference be in a 3500 ultimate ???
One question. I’m a first time diesel owner . But isn’t that over the weight for towing capacity for the 2500 ?
Awesome 👌
What was the exhaust emissions light?
Is that weight reduction next to it
It’s not off the duramax
What.. Bruce Wilson… with a Duramax??
you needa get some shocks that’ll stop it from squatting after getting some heavy loads in the back
What was the check engine light fix?
truck looks awesome! definitely should straight pipe it
What rims are on the 2500?
same truck just chevy, 2024 same issues with the exhaust brake, cant figure it out.

Parking brake on that Mahindra is screaming at ya
Where can I find the tool that you used to install the original type filter
Great video!! Is there any suspension setup that will keep truck from squatting when towing ?
Yeah, airbags in the rear. I’m about to add a set to my Duramax as well. It’s fine when I’m not towing my gooseneck but when I do she squats a lot.
Check engines light is on because exhaust was cut.. supposedly on the 24s it senses not enough backpressusre.
we have made revisions so they work flawlessly on the 2024s now!
Did you delete this truck? Looks like k saw the DPF sitting behind you next to the lift. Maybe that’s why your truck sounds so loud and you have a check engine light on?
What kind of leveling kit did you run? Or what kind of leveling kit all y’all running on your 24

If you load a trailer correct you will have very little hitch weight! live and learn I reckon
that is mostly true for bumper pull trailers, little diff % when its a gooseneck. That trailer is more ment for a bigger truck being it has double real duals.

Probably should have hidden the exhaust parts laying in the background
On all the Chevys the exhaust brake is the same as yours. Even my work truck that is a 2017. Our Dodge 5500 are more aggressive
Holy air bags
Have you had any issues with the FASS filter setup? Do you think there are any real benefits with their filter system? Thanks
what is your payload limit , looks like your wiegh over the limit
Wheel and tire set up?
#Bruce when are you getting your new Pete bro I can't wait to see the new truck when it's all done bro 💯
looks like that gmc has a hard time with that load.
It don’t. Don’t worry.
How bad do those wheels rub?
LET THAT 6.6 DIRTY MAXX BREATH right. There aren't a lot of deleted new truck out there be a dope video.

check engine light may be the issue there with the exhaust break
