i love how in escas, keystone behemoths dont one shot with their most powerful attack, yet thunderdeep one shots with his attack after enrage, in HG he's fine
I’m pretty sure he has three basically one shot attacks, his enragement itself, the little stomp it does right after it enrages, and his beam. Super tired of seeing the thing in esca

ya im like keystones are suppose to be bosses but i can solo them but the thunder drask not even my tanky build can take a hit and not be half health and god forbid you get it and something annoying in an escalation i got a thunder drask and a shrowd ya trying to not get sniped in the black out was fun

Umbral is supreme. When i first got into the game, back before the first escalation dropped, that first Riftstalker fight was unreal, probably my favourite behemoth hands down. Then Thrax because of his moveset and the arena/build up to the fight
It’s a really fun fight and i like how it was the most lethal back when 1.0 launched.
I still use the riftstalker axe can't wait to get my thrax axe so I can complete my full umbral build
Yeah, the riftstalker used to be something that was feared 😂 I miss the rage
I just love all the fight challenges
I've been playing this game for a long time and seeing a enraged Riftstalker still chills me so much,
I really like how it makes no sense to go into the darkness so quickly and then spin out of the portals.
I miss the old days of Koshai being the big bad "sovereign of thorns", the final boss. Now it's a casual warmup behemoth... Still an awesome fight.
BTW any other OG slayers here who remember the lore behind how Admiral Zai got to Ramsgate? The original Ramsgate I mean. I loved the way Koshai was setup to be a big bad. Too bad Shrowd kicked it to the curb that fight is terrifying for me to this day. And I run a power surged "Edge of Tomorrow" with the Rezakiri sword bonded to it. The rewind is a necessity if you solo behemoths, nice and cheap revive. Good if you fall off an edge too, or you can use it to combo.
I would love to have a big bad behemoth again. Like Koshai was so cool to fight since the lore made him out as this powerful being.
@@benz5139 I think that's what the Keystone behemoths are supposed to be. Who knows, maybe a seventh Neutral Legendary behemoth will get added.
Remember the maelstorm behemoth variants? like thornbound Shrike for example

Neutral Behemoths/Weapons Rework idea:
Since they are by far the most boring and sometimes annoying (Looking at you Gnasher) I think PL could make them a bit more dangerous, fun and unpredictable.
Elemental effects makes them gain that element for a certain period of time, they can only get a single element at a time, has a cooldown in order to avoid being an annoying mechanic rather than a fun one, enviromental damage does not count to avoid the events getting harder than usual, removes when interrupted, Aether Charged removes the element, Stunning the behemoth also removes the element and duirng Rage mode or dangerometer reaching 100% they gain a random element during all the mode or when the removing methods are applied. This making them gain unique attacks, variety and of course the elemental weaknesses and strenghts.
What about the elemental variants of neutral behemoths you may ask. No problem. The attack kit and design between elemental charged behemoths and those elemental variants change. Instead of making an explosion like Flameborn Gnasher does an Elemental Charged Gnasher could just make lava pools. (This is an example)
"Escalations will be harder because elemental disadvantage." Noup. During Escalations they can't get the opposite element of the escalation. For example during Terra escalations a Neutral Behemoth can't get the Shock element.
"Trials will be harder" Same as Escalation. The behemoth can't gain any element during Trials. This game mode has enough hazards to add one more.
Weapons:
The mechainc with the weapons changes a bit. Instead of gaining the element for a certain time you get a buff related with that effect:
Frost: 150 shields and 5% more stragger damage (Got by being freezed, blinded by Skraev, hit with any behemoth frost attack, minions does not count)
Blaze: 15% movement speed (Got by being burned, miniions does not count)
Shock: Crit chance and movement speed increased by 15% (Got by being shocked)
Terra: 5% Lifesteal and damage reduction (Got by being in Karabak's Swarm, Koshai's traps or getting hit by Skarn elemental attacks)
Radiant: 10% stamina cost reduction (Got by getting dazzled or hit by any Radiant attack, Reza marbles, Valomir lasers or Chrono traps)
Umbra: Corruption effect restores stamina but still makes damage (Got by being corrupted)
Restrictions
Can't be restored inmediately it also has a cooldown (Around 90 seconds and 2 mins)
The buff is removed when stunned or downed
Its only one at a time and cooldown begins after the effect is over
The buffs last 45 seconds
Pros:
Makes Neutral Behemoths overall more fun and unique
Neutral weapons can be paired with the elemental ones exchanging the elemental advantage with buffs to improve performance during battles
Promotes a strategy to slay Neutral Behemoths (Charge it with a certain element and then use that into your favor)
Now Neutral has an indirect counter: Neutral itself
Builds that exploit these buffs to reach a higher skill roof
Add another type of high risk gameplay
Give the neutral behemoths and weapons a brand new face
Cons:
There's the possibility that Neutral Behemoths with the correct element combination and attack set makes them exponentially harder
Builds that exploit these buffs and leave elemental weapons to how are Neutral now at days, almost useless
Passive gameplay in order to get a specific buff
Monotony by making a behemoth do a certain attack and keep it that way to constantly get the desired buff regardless the cooldown
Although is not finished yet, I'd like to hear feedback or ideas to add in the future and make it better to improve overall the most abandoned section of the game having that much potencial

phaelanx is a weak behemoth, but it has a wide variety of attacks which i like alot

Before fighting shrowds I grinded the Rheza for the Power 80 radiant weapon. So Rheza honestly I got used to.
BLAZE HOWEVER- the attack I hate most is the 2nd spit it does after slamming on the ground. Plus fire does DOT

valomyr, the lazer hercules beatle fills a niche where its absolutely annoying, its so annoying its fun for me tbh.

Ima say I don't enjoy blaze born rezikiri his not fun to fight
As a chain blades main with practically the most dodge-based play style.
I still avoid Flameborn Rheza

While he wasn't introduced back then, I'll share my opinion on Sahvyt:
A proper F! Has no interrupt and falls apart like paper. No more words need to be said.
bro and i just saw him DELAY AN ATTACK. like he fakes you out also his attacks are just kinda hard to dodge.
I love how the keystone behemoths have a interrupt for slayers like how malkarion spikes you with its tail how how togadoro hulk slams row repeitdly just gives a feeling of power
I remember back before they did the hunting ground stuff and when boreus would get rolled from the frost table it was usually cross your fingers that you could maybe dps it out and if you couldn't get it before the first immunity wave you knew you'd be stuck there a while making it one of the worst to deal with. I think it improved some, but not by much
Just curious, at what point do you think someone's spent too much time on a game? Because I just met a guy in Escalation who had 147 reforges on his chain blades.
I’d say the line is drawn somewhere around that point.
ive put too much time in the game and my highest reforge is 27.
ive done it 5 times and im like thats too much grinding

Koshai is so fun to fight with tempest because it attacks every few seconds. I love behemoth that attack fast
I could like to see a tier list of the difficulties of the behemoths, because imo Shrowd is one of the easiest and no joke gnasher as one of the most difficult ones. I have been playing Dauntless for 2 years now.

Yes yes yes, my grand wish is a dragon for each element. Maybe have em be some sort of behemoth gods, or progenitors of some kind. Idk, i want more dragons man. Imagine a skyship battle with one, you occasional get an opportunity to grapple on and swing on em, but you gotta protect the ship from their drakes that they spawn. Would be hella neat
I very much agree with almost everything. I'd just move blazekiri, shadow drask and hellion a one level lower. Especially blazekiri. I just hate every thing about that behemoth but mostly the fireballs during enrage (similar thing you mentioned about blaze gnasher as well - where are they even coming from?)
Really cool list! I personally dislike urska since he has so much part hp on claws abd moves around a lot, while torgadoro feels the like the best fight, he can dish out a lot of damage, but his part breaks feel satisfacting and rewarding
The only time i hate fighting Urska is when my team gets the partbreak boon and they all just ignore it, and we lose.
Rezakiri is the most badass behemoth makes me feel like I’m fighting a super boss battle
CHRONO deserves a s tier because he is a hard behemoth is not ez like other behemoths and he has a great legendary ability the cool is so short and pretty usefully.
Give us more dragon behemoths is what the entire dauntless playerbase is saying
Thrax is by far my favorite behemoth
I would have split this into design and mechanics, since you weren't very harsh on some of the behemoths who definitely deserve harsh treatment

Getting koshai's parts is the most annoying thing but he's a well designed behemoth I just wish the tail was a bit weaker...
Ragetail gnasher gets a B in my opinion. The shockwaves are a bit unique to it which I like about it.

I personally hate the shrewd just because having my vision taken just isn’t a fun mechanic to me.
The only ice behemoth I can understand that got over B is urska the rest are either annoying easy or both (looking at you boreus)
Personally ragetail is at bottom because the front flip attack is so hard to dodge like you dodge the landing but tremor kill you

Urska body parts are umbrekable, i literaly killed by the tail (only thing i wanted)
And valomyr & riftstalker need a new dire/element wariant.
i will share my opinion as a chainblade main/striker main valomyr is just an easy s tier its is difficult and sometimes easy love the color scheme and the design the way it looks like a Hercules beetle that ate too much skittles thats why i name it the skittle monster

Thunder touched Drask is so bad and annoying I would give my account save file and get rid of all drasks to get rid of it.
I have to disagree with the ragetail ngasher, the shockwave mechanic is so dumb, it even deals more damage than the original attack for the Lord's sake. And the Flameborn Rezakiry is so annoying also, when you have a window to attack him a random fireball come raining down from only god know to hit you in the head and send you flying.

Oh He Dare Not putting Chronovore on S Tier. Chronovore can decimate 6 (SIX) Cocky Players with one AOE Radiant Attack. So Many Newbies can only dream of Crafting Chrono Sets.

Very good list , I agree with most. I hate Valomyr so much and I complained about it a lot of times on reddit. The devs of this game have no desire of ever fixing that behemoth and is sad
