Hey! So we have an Ikamper awning - it attaches to the rooftop tent - works great just haven't used it much. I have been brainstorming a rear awning idea to cover the kitchen area when the weather turns bad. Issue with like a 270 awning is that the rear hatch opens up so much the awning doesn't have room to swing around. Ideas welcome!
Hi, I like you set up. What size tires are you using? How do you like them so far? I have 2002 Ex with the V10 as well. Keep on making great videos! Thank you!
How do you like the Ridge grapplers in the ice, snow, slush etc we get here in CO on the roads? Looking at these vs the KO2s. We do a lot of longer road trips so I like the quite of the RGs and the KO2s are very loud. RGs are better off road but we don't do a lot of crazy off road. KO2s rate better in the snow / ice winter conditions.
The ridge grapplers are just ok - not even close my actual winter tires. We don't really drive the truck in the winter, the few times I do it slides around. If you are looking for a daily winter driver tire I would choose something else.

Hi Hal - As long as you stay out of Mud and Sand you are most likely going to be just fine. We don't really put ours into 4x4 often. You could always just put a locker on the rear and that would solve 95% of the issues when off-roading.

We are gas so I would favor gas :) - but I ran quit a lot of numbers and while the Diesel (7.3) is an amazing engine the premium in cost was just not worth it. I can replace my V10 twice over for the price of a 7.3 with 250K on it. And while the MPG is not fun it is what it is - not buying this truck to save on fuel lol!
Is there a reason you went with the V10 over the 2 diesel options? In the market for a family getaway hauler and torn between an excursion, which I have always wanted, or a GX470 which I'm sure my wife will be happier maneuvering.
Went with the V10 due to the price point. We paid $6K and at the time the 7.3 was going for $20K with the same miles (100K). I would have to drive 250K miles to break even and then diesel repairs are much more. The 6.0 is good but they must have the correct work done to them (bullet proof etc.) or they will cost you an arm and a leg. The V10 Triton is a great motor, not fast but reliable and has the torque needed to pull whatever. We love it, just make sure to check the sparkplugs every so often.
