    I am gravitating, quickly, toward eating ground beef patties most days for at least one of my meals. My portion is usually larger as I generally eat once or twice a day. Sometimes I put a fried egg on the patty and sometimes a little cheese. For variety with a second meal I will have air fried chicken thighs, well seasoned. I appreciate your videos...thank you!

    Thanks for explaining what I can eat on a 80/20 diet. Was looking for it and you where the first i found! I have been on this diet now for one week and I love it. I feel 100% better now through the whole day! Eating very clean beef porc and 80/20 to see what I react to. So tired of not loosing weight and reacting to all kinds of so called healthy foods that are NOT good for me. Seeing you have a nice website where I can find other recipes too when I know what I can eat other than this. Keep those wonderful videos coming! I am almost 55 years old. 80 lbs overweight and so done with it I want to loose the fat! Thanks for explaining all so well. I live in the Netherlands and I am so blessed to live about 2 minutes drive from a organic butcher that sells all you and other carnivore diet persons recommend. So blessed!

      I've found it interesting that I'm now eating my beef more in the medium range, though I had always preferred "well done" for burgers, & medium-well for steak. Have heard that this is somewhat common for meat-based eaters. Pork, chicken & fish I still want thoroughly cooked, although I find myself eating less & less of those proteins. Beef just seems to be what my body wants & needs- with plenty of butter. I'm curious if others have experienced this trend?
      *Another interesting change is that I eat a lot more eggs than I used to, as in several a week where before I had an egg maybe once a month, or less even. I simply did not care for them much, but now I really enjoy them. =)

    I’ve tried getting LMT here in the UK, it’s virtually impossible and if you can it’s exorbitantly expensive.
    What I do is make up Dr Berry’s Apple Cider vinegar drink.
    Two Tbs ACV, 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and potassium. I also add 1/2 tsp magnesium and top that up with 1 litre of sparkling water. I sip that all day. I love it. 😋🇬🇧

    So interesting watching your experiment. I feel best on 67-30-3-ish macros, but I am fascinated by what works for others. I like pre-cooking bacon halfway and adding it to burgers before I cook them. But for 80% you'd still have to add butter. Even the fattiest bacon isn't all that fatty. And a butter bacon burger wouldn't be such an awful chore to eat, lol.

    Yummm!! I have always loved rare burgers - you go girl!!. Every once in a while I go to a pub or higher end restaurant and I get a med rare burger with lots of juice and flavor. Makes me so happy to taste all that flavor. Folks do not realize how much flavor was sacrificed when restaurants went to everything well done. I went to a trusted restaurant and they must have had a burner out or had the patty too far away.and the burger came out rare to med rare. I took my chances and just savored the flavor. It was just glorious to taste all that flavor!!

    I enjoy your recipes and methods of cooking all the meat. I can’t eat a lot of meat. It’s just not palatable after maybe two or three bites. I do Atkins and I’m doing the phase one. Meat, poultry, fish, eggs and (dairy)cheese. This got me into ketosis. And now I am adding 5 g of carbs at a time as long as still in ketosis. Past when I was younger I could eat 60 g of net carbs and lose like crazy…now 😢I have to pretty much stay down to under 30 net carbs. Thank you for all your recipes and your methods of cooking the meat so that it’s different. I really appreciate that. Are you allowed to eat fish and dairy? I was just wondering. BTW: You look beautiful. Congratulations on your weight loss. Amazing. ❤

    I'm so glad you enjoyed the chocolate salt in the brown butter. I'm waffling on buying their triple chocolate pack because I'm unsure about the mint chocolate, but I wonder if it could be turned into thin mints with pork rinds and brown butter. Not exactly, but maybe close? I find I enjoy unsweetened chocolate with the brown butter, so I'm thinking something like a thin mint truffle maybe. I don't have a lot of experience playing with butter this heavily without the addition of other products. I know I'd enjoy the caramel chocolate as a hot drink because I currently use the bites I made with chai and chocolate salt and it's such a satisfying hot drunk to keep me full and let me keep my energy down. Would love to see any suggested uses you might have for the mint. Oh, I guess it'd make great ice cream. Hmm.

    I will be enjoying this! I ordered the chocolate bundle because I love the plain chocolate salt. I am sure butter bombs with all the flavors will be wonderful. Do you use unsalted butter and then add the LMNT? I know salted butter with Keto Chow in it is very salty and I have been experimenting a lot. I think about my childhood and how intuitive our eating would have been if dietary restrictions had not been forced on us. I always loved butter, and steak was preferred above chocolate. I loved the fat from the steak and my parents tried to get me to not eat it. I always fought back saying "but it is the best part"!

Nausea, insomnia, brain fog, hot flashes and horrible messy bathroom experience. I think I may have problem with fat absorption and gall bladder. Anyhoo if this way of eating works for you and apparently it does, I'm happy for you. You are reading the FAT CONTENT OF THE MEAT WRONG! 70/30 or 80/20 ground beef means that the meat has got a 20% or 30% fat content respectively. Not 70 or 80% calories from fat. When you buy 80/20 you are actually getting 80% LEAN meat with only 20% fat. Ask the butcher if you don't believe me. I think your diet would go easier if you were calculating the fat content of your ground beef properly.

    • @KetogenicWoman
      @KetogenicWoman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry for the confusion about the ground beef. When I said the ground beef was 80% fat I was talking about the MACROS of the meat. 80% CALORIES come from fat and 20% CALORIES come from protein. Here is the math: So 3.5 ounces of this ground beef cooked contains 16.6 grams of protein and 24.7 grams of fat, and zero grams carbs of course. Each gram of protein is 4 calories (4*16.6=66.4). Each gram of fat is 9 calories (9*24.7=222.3 calories) . Total calories is 289 calories. So if you do the math on that, this burger patty is 66.4/289 = 23% protein and 222.3/289 = 77% fat. Hope that clears it up!

      It's going to end up being around 50/50 when I'm done! I started low carb and easily lost about 50 pounds, then stalled out for quite some time and nothing has been easy since! I switched to keto and I think managed to lose another 40 or so and then went carnivore/ketovore for about the past 2-3 years and it's been very slow but steady I guess.

      Well there's many reasons and long answers and I do go over a lot of these things in my Tuesdays Talks. I switched to high fat carnivore in particular as a kind of a bio hack to get higher ketones and a GKI in the healing zone. Before I had no ketones and there are a number of health reasons for me to have that. And this has fixed my long term sleep issues as a bonus.

      That is the traditional carnivore protocol. Eat meat until you are full, drink water, let your body tell you what to do. That has never worked for me and so I've been talking in my last few videos about the interview that Kelly Hogan did with Dr. Bright as well as her interview with Amber O'Hearn about higher fat lower protein (80/20). They are suggesting that a certain segment of people will do better with the 80/20 protocol. I am following that protocol to the best of my ability this month.
