Sending greetings to Brazil! Thanks for the nice words, crazy to think that an old Aussie dude eating blood sausage helps you but I will certainly take what I can get haha 😅
Käsespätzle taste much better if you add raw sliced onions which have been covered in flour before frying them in a pan in oil or ghee/clarified butter. Tote Oma is a term which only existed in the Eastern part of Germany. I would boil the sausage, get it out of its skin and afterwards fry it in a pan with onions and garlic. Add the Klöße to a pan with fried onions, garlic, and scrambled eggs and the result will be a delicious dish.
Great video, very interesting. You two are a good team. I hope you will continue with more supermarket videos. Will you have Donor tasing or German fast food tasting so as tasting items from bakery? Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Well explained, thanks for great presentation. Once I did the same went to many supermarkets in a day to pick varied products, at the end I realised spent half of the day. Respect in that manner too :) I would love to hear about Australian cusine too (and taste too in one day).
Easy to make - check a TH-cam video. Dried versions are available in the US at Aldi (well, with mushrooms etc. and sauce) and various Russian or other European supermarkets if you have them where you live.
Slice the molded Harzerkäse up on a well buttered slice of bread and put a littlebit butter also on top of the powdery white middle of the cheese ;-) thats how i really like it. Ps: at the moment nearly every day :-D
Haha, I wish this is how we would do food shopping in America. We fill a big cart with food for a week or two. It is true our fridges are huge compared to Europe and many people have a fridge in the kitchen and an extra freezer-only in the garage. This way we can plan for grocery shopping every rwo weeks. Of course we need a car. With this type of backpack-shopping one has to run to the store a few times per day... well, at least once a day... lots of waste of time... But, I will not be moving to Germany soon, so I don't have to worry, I suppose :)
Respect!!!You are a very brave man! Half of the stuff is quite suspicious to most younger germans... But i love Baumkuchen and Quarkbällchen very very much!!!To get the best Baumkuchen you should visit the city of Salzwedel not so far away from Berlin or go to beautifull Wernigerode in the Harz (but the "original" is quite expensive!!!).
Thanks, I thought most of the items were actually quite good! 😂 I didn't know about Salzwedel and Wernigerode. That could make for an awesome day trip in the future!
Another great video. I've never seen kohlrabi in a US supermarket looks interesting. The stollen looks amazing and btw your balcony is looking great with all those plants. Summer in Berlin is great!
That's interesting. I've never had Spätzle with Cheddar Cheese and Feta, now I'm curious about it. It's definitely not how Germans eat it tho. Usually Spätzle is eaten either with egg, caramelized or fried onions, parsley, speck and Emmentaler cheese and a bit of milk to make it creamier (of course also salt and pepper) or with a mushroom sauce. You should try it that way, it's really nice 👍🏼
my Harzer Roller needs some mustard on top, or i eat it as Handkäs' mit Musik. put the Harzer Roller into some oil and vinegar with diced onions and let it sit for 1-2 days in the fridge. before you want to eat it, get it out of the fridge to let it get room temperature, put some caraway seeds, grounded pepper and some parsley on top. that's the way i do it... Guten Appetit..! :-)
Yummy!! This video was amazing, I got to know a lot of foods that I never heard/seen ever. Thanks from Brazil ^^ Taste some unique german beers, please :)
Thanks for your precious time Julia! 🌱🥰 Hope you learnt something new. Although I can't say I'm the heaviest drinker by any means 😅 I may consider it haha
You should get some handkaese and taste it..Now you are in the cheese area....Also i know people who spread butter on the slices of stollen , when it's about to dry up..not that bad either
Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
I am guided by is Jenny Pamogas Canaya . I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care for supervision.
Hi there! Nice video, thanks! Do you know in what supermarket I can get the most affordable gluten free products in Berlin? Such as bread, cookies, etc. This could be your new video "Gluten Free in Berlin" :-)
one full cup of Sauerkrautsaft?!.... Happy time on the toilet... it is more a thing of supporting your health of your digestion - or when you have problems going to toilet... so it is more a medicine
Hallo! I tried ordering a Stollen from the bakery in Dresden where you ordered yours, it looks really good, (order is to be delivered to a family member in Berlin), and after order was completed they sent me an invoice by email, with their bank information… And asked me to pay their bank directly to ship the order… No credit card information was requested… I was wondering if the same happened to you, or if I may have done something wrong? Please let me know. Thanks! :)
Yes, they are commonly called "Scheibletten" in Germany because that was the brand name used by Kraft when introduced here, but it is now available from a large number of brands and most supermarkets usually carry very cheap ones of their own supermarket no-name brand.
Wait til you try the German masterpiece Toast Hawaii 🥸
Literally a pineapple nipple. 🤦♂️
I'll move to Berlin soon, and your videos are helping me so much. Keep doing this incredible content!
Cheers from Brazil!

Canederli is also made in Tyrol, Italy. The German speaking part of Italy

Klingt echt gut, danke für die Empfehlung Stefanie 🤗

Übel gutes und vorallem nahezu akzentfreies deutsch^^
Sehr nett danke Max!

These are all good ideas my friend. I will try and do something like that in the future for sure :)
I love the bottom of the broccoli! Best bit
Please make more videos. I really enjoy your channel
Oh Aina you lovely soul thank you :) I will for sure post more videos in the future!

Thank you my friend. Yes it was a pretty packed day! When I go back to visit my home in Australia, I will make sure to film it :)
I love the tree lined streets. The stollen looked glorious! Thank you for the video!
It is extremely beautiful in summer! Thank YOU!
That cheesy noodle thing looks so good!!

Your videos are really cool, Ron. Thank you😉
Thanks mate, so grateful for your comment! Makes me teary-eyed 🥲

Yeh Americans like to buy in bulk. Same in Australia I suppose :)

Oh I thought I did put caramelised onion?
i love these types of videos! i'm actually quite a picky eater so it is interesting to me how someone can like Blutwurst or Harzer Käse :D
Thank you so much! As for Blutwurst, it might sound bad but it doesn't taste too bad in my opinion! 😅
Loved it!! 😊 Very informative!
🥰
That’s not a meatball, that’s a rissole! Haha
Holy crap true that. But meatball is the literal translation apparently. 🍖
Man, I could go for some Kohlrabi right now
People want burgers, Wagyu steak, and delicious fried chicken. We just want Kohlrabi. 🤘

Wow! Sounds like the effort might be worth the taste! I might try next time, but I will start with the mustard 😅 thank you brother!

Thanks for your precious time Julia! 🌱🥰 Hope you learnt something new. Although I can't say I'm the heaviest drinker by any means 😅 I may consider it haha
Tien- make him do a blindfolded taste test after he has tried it all 😂
That's actually a pretty sick idea Telle! 🤘🙏
About the juice.
We Germans loooove vegetables juices but Sauerkraut juice? Yuck! Never have I ever seen someone drink it, you're brave!!
It was ok haha 😬
Nice Vid, THX!
You got it!
A very SUAVE day?
1: smoothly though often superficially gracious and sophisticated
2: smooth in texture, performance, or style

I'm not a stinky cheese sort of guy 😂
But yes, butter with stollen is amazeballs.
Can you make me that cheese noodle dish when I visit this DEC!?
Maybe get a hotel with a stovetop and try do it yourself! You know how to do it now and what ingredients to get :)
Kohlrabi ♥

Not too sure there sorry! Thanks for the recommendation but I'm currently not in Berlin.
Best vlog
I'm humbled 🙏🍩
Kohlrabi-Kartoffelsuppe 🤤
True German meal 💪

Hi. I didn't have to do any bank transfers. I believe I either paid with my card or PayPal.
@@ExpatCaptures Thanks. Just to double check, you got it from Bäckerei Cafe Eckert? I tried again today and no credit card option…
Genau! PayPal should work no?
Dein Deutwch ist grossartig , wie lange praktizierst Du die Sprache?😍😁
Du bist sehr nett Julia. Meine Aussprache klingt vielleicht okay aber mein Vokabular ist immer noch schlecht. 😅
Do they have Kraft cheese singles? 😂
Lol not sure but definitely an equivalent 🧀🙂
Yes, they are commonly called "Scheibletten" in Germany because that was the brand name used by Kraft when introduced here, but it is now available from a large number of brands and most supermarkets usually carry very cheap ones of their own supermarket no-name brand.
