2024 update for everone watching this: - the airport Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) doesn't exist any longer, it has been integrated into the BER airport as Terminal 5, which currently is not in use - please pay attention to the point about entering a vehicle and let the exiting people out first. there is already enough pepople ( not that many, but enough to notice at least) who try to almost tackle their way in as soon as the doors open, which is fairly annoying - showing the ticket to the bus driver is not mandatory any longer, so as long as you have a valid ticket, just hop on - if a bus or a tram is really crowded so getting to any but the front door seems like a hustle, it is usually okay to exit via the front door besides that; man, that was probably the best video about our public transportation system i've ever watched. really well done. i am really happy the city grew on you so much. have a good one :>

I can't believe how complex this ticket system is. In Sydney we simply tap on and off with a credit card. You don't need to worry about the distance or fare as it's automatically calculated.

I encountered a similar scam today. I did share my passport details for the contract, but didn't pay the amount cause i suspected a scam. What can they do using my passport details 😕?

The reason why the S Bahn is underground because it couldN#t be built above. (Nordbahnhof to Anhalter Bahnhof)

Good explanation of using the tickets. I recommend tourist which arrive from BER and stay for couples of days AB ticket wih an extention fare. I've been working in customer service for the Berliner S Bahn since January 2024.

Thank you for showing us what the ticket validation machines look like both for DB and for BVG...respectively red/white and yellow. I have searched other transportation videos trying to find these Entwertsmachinen only to find no description or photos of what to look for on the platforms.

this is such a big problem in germany , why don't they do anything about it , do you know what situation I had? wrote to me some guy who sent me a video , his own proof ! and of course he said he was abroad and would send the keys to airbn :D , it's just not credible how they lie. I think the government is fucked in this country, because the scale of this is huge as I can see from the posts on the groups and from the people who wrote to me
