Tahoe is my favorite place! I have relatives who live there and my family would visit every summer for about a week and a half, which is not long enough - - by far! I love the smell of the air, especially when you first get there and get out of the car. And Tahoe has the best tasting water right out of the faucet. There are so many fun things to do! Go to the beach, swim in the lake, boating, horseback riding, bicycle riding, hiking, taking scenic drives, BBQing, great restaurants, camping, golfing, going to shows and/or gambling at the Stateline casinos. When I was a kid, there was a recreation area at one of the casinos so the kids could have fun while the parents went gambling. I think it’s still there. When our families grew too large to stay at my aunt and uncle and cousins house, we would rent a cabin and the kids took turns sleeping over. Then our families got together for meals. It was great! I have so many great memories of our vacations there over the years. I live up in Washington now so it’s not as easy to go visit Tahoe. It’s been probably nine or ten years since I’ve been there. I miss it so much! I’m going to plan on visiting this coming summer. Thanks for posting this video of so many of my favorite spots so it can tide me over till I can visit myself!!🌲🏕🩱 🏊🏻♀️🤿🛶⛵️🐎🥾🐟🏌️🎰🎲🎲🏨
I loved reading this! These memories are absolutely priceless. Like you, my family also has rich and wonderful memories of staying in stunning Lake Tahoe. It's such an amazing place and the sweet family memories make it that much more special! : )
I visited Tahoe for my first time in 1975. I just graduated from high school...I know I'm old. I'd gotten a 110 Pocket camera for graduation. I'd never taken a photo before. I road from Iowa to San Francisco with my uncle. He took me by Lake Tahoe and I had never seen such a beautiful place. I snapped photo after photo. I've got a bunch of 110 slides in my storeroom. This is where my love for photography started and I still love taking photos.
My husband and I just came back from the lake Tahoe celebrating 30th anniversary. 5 days only scratched the surface. Like you guys we were blown away and so sad to leave. Really Lake Tahoe has everything! Can’t wait to go back.
It's nice to see Tahoe again. I spent every winter and summer there for 30 years, now I'm retired and have moved away from California ok even the country but beautiful memories comes to my mind seeing all this. TCB.
My beautiful Tahoe. Or should I say Tahome 💙. I was born and raised there. I’m currently living in Puerto Vallarta Mexico but my family still lives in Tahoe. I recommend going in the winter time. It’s very pretty with a blanket of snow on everything.
Since you're heading to Napa, try going up the road about 20 mins to St . Helena. It's a lovely little town with quite a few famous wineries. There is even a cool castle up on the hill just out of town.
Isn’t it amazing how so many of us world travelers have found a wonderful backyard. Well done with your adventures! I so enjoy following you... thank you 🙏
I am not used to seeing people visit my neck of the woods up here in NorCal. It's fun to see places I have been many times over the years through new eyes and those drone shots! Amazing!
Thank you for donating, the fires this year have just been devastating. I'm sorry that your time here in CA has been marred by everything with COVID and the wildfires. Sequoia, Mammoth, Yosemite, Tahoe, and Napa are stunning, and I really hope you both come back around to tour these places when the state is not on fire. I've lived in CA around these places all my life and you're right that even spending a lifetime here you can't see all the beauty that these areas (and this whole state) hold, and honestly one of the best ways to tour around them is on a touring bike.
@@TheAwkwardTourists It breaks my heart to see so many families and animals displaced by the wildfires and the hurricanes. It's so incredibly bad this year, I wish it would just stop.
Welcome to CA, this is paradise. Im a born and raised in CA I remember when we would be on vacation in Yosemite and Tahoe with NO traffic and people. But the internet blew up our state and even people from other countries visit our state back in the 70's 80's 90's people from the bible belt state would call our state residents sinners and crazy. We are blessed to have great weather great national beautiful Forrest, beaches, ocean, dessert right in our back yard. . Now we are popular. Enjoyed your video. I know your from Michigan but Lake Tahoe is nothing like the great lakes. Tioga is pronounced Tii-ow-ga pass. I live in Southern CA its a 10 hour drive to Tahoe. When you live CA that s what you do Travel, snowed skied in Winter, Camp Richardson & Zephyr Cove in Summer. We get a lot of trash left behind, it would be great if you could add to your videos the importance of picking up your trash. Maybe at the beginning and end of your videos. Thanks glad you loved our state.
Thanks for doing a vid on Tahoe. My favorite place in the world. I'm always saying how I wish peeps would do more vids on Tahoe. I think it's a perfect place for digital nomads! I have not been there in years, But I think I'd like to live there one day. At least for part of the year. Glad you had a good time.
Thanks for the gorgeous view of Tahoe. Finn- quick! Trademark “All you need is Tahoe” before the Tahoe tourism board steals it! Your next income stream! Thanks for a great adventure!
My wife & I where married in Reno, 37 years ago, and our very first stop was Tahoe, thus memories where made in the area, and we absolutely loved it, tenting at the time! We're Canadian, so it was the first time to Tahoe at the time, and we'll definitely stop again, as we now have gone through the 'bring up our two daughters' life, have 5 grandchildren, and now have our diesel pusher, and do things more in the comfort zone! Sticking to our budget has allowed us to continue on exploring our adventures, and enjoying my hobby of photography, kayaking and clamping, and playing Pickleball when time allows! Life is grand, and it's great to see you two (of whom I've now followed for 2 years) enjoying life as it is presented! Stay safe! Hoping (by now) that you've heard some of 'Napa Wine Country' is on fire Allison/Tim!
My mom would love to join your pickleball game I'm sure Dale - she just loves it! Thanks for your concern - we visited Napa (next week's video) in late August. still during some fires, but you'll see the full story in next week's video!
Awe! My bff has a home there near Northstar that I have been able to visit twice. Truckee River is so MUCH FUN! We put in on our own ( my friend is an adventure nut) I love Tahoe! This video made me tear up & remind me why I love Tahoe. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
I use to live in Lake Tahoe (Incline Village) .The only place on earth that I feel a spiritual connection. Your videos are always great, this one was excellent. I am in Tulum Mexico right now. "TULUM" lol
I love the enthusiasm and joy both of you give thoroughly through each video even when it's smokey skies. So glad you did get to experience at least some slightly Blue Skies. The next time you go back to Tahoe go in May or June. Ex-Californian Bob
I just had my house at Tahoe rented out for the past 5 months to people that drove here from Michigan. There's plenty of snow in Michigan so I was wondering why they would come all the way here, but then again this is Tahoe 🤘🏻
Indeed Fin. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to as well. With all due respect guys, I can't stop admiring FIN's own beauty. There maybe other beautiful women in the world, like Jenifer Aniston, Mick Jaggers daughter, etc. But I relate more with you guys because I also love doing outdoor activities. Thanks for your video. Loved it!
Omg your dog she is so lovely 😊 I love to see her again, I rental this same van for camping before with my 2 dogs, and we have great time on the trip 🥰keep safety and have fun
One of the best Tahoe videos I have viewed, and I am not surprised. Well done considering the smoke and haze you had to navigate through 👏👏👏 You persevered though some of the toughest times in California. I am honored to say we live within 2 hours of Tahoe, and we're headed there this weekend for the first time all year (North Shore), meaning, your enthusiasm for Lake Tahoe reminds me not to take where we live for granted.
Have purchased several sets of your packing cubes and several of your backpacks. They are awesome and make great gifts! Glad you're enjoying California, my home state! California has great weather and about every kind of terrain you can imagine, so adventure abounds here! Looking forward to your next post! Sounds like you are headed to Napa? We just got back from a trip to Oregon in our RV. You may hit smoke from the St. Helena Fire that broke out recently. The drive through the majestic redwoods is unbelievable! If you wind up going to Oregon, they have beautiful state parks! They charge 30% more if you are out of state, but totally worth it. Harris State Beach in Brookings has a beautiful beach and good places to eat in town. Our favorite place to eat in Brookings is Oxenfre Public House. There's good fishing on the Rogue River in Gold Beach. Bandon has breathtaking views along the coast and a gorgeous rocky coastline, but still plenty of beach to walk on. If you can't get into a state beach there, there is a funky little 1948 motel and RV park in town you can stay at called the Wayside Inn and the new owners are so accommodating and friendly. Great restaurants there. We loved The Wheelhouse Restaurant! We are not big on Coos Bay. Florence has dune buggy excursions. There is a great campsite right on the ocean, just below Yachats, called the Sea Perch RV resort. It's a bit expensive, but oh, the views. We also love Pacific City! If you stop there, you have to eat at the Pelican Brewery! Also, worth the stop to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory...and do try the cheese and ice cream! I'll stop there, but the Oregon coastline is just so wild and beautiful! And do stop and visit the lighthouses along the coast. So worth it! Love you guys! Safe travels and hugs to Pepper!
Totally agree about spending every summer at Tahoe! ❤️ I have a couple of the Tripped backpacks and 3 sets of the packing cubes and love them. But I am drooling over Fin’s blue pack - that is my favorite color and I’d love to find one, but I can only find navy (which I already have). Will the brighter blue ever be available? TIA and happy travels!
geez, you guys have the life! why would anyone give this a thumbs down? maybe cause Pepper didn't have a life vest on paddleboarding? lol I have full confidence in your lifeguard skills...
🌅🎄🎄😎 💙 Wowzziis great journeying sharing you guys!! I live in southern California, yet from up north. Whatever we're going through, ever so lively continuing letting settle our petals 🌺🌻 All is forever well 🌈💚🌅🏞️🌲🌲🍀🌾.....
Tahoe is heaven on earth! We usually stay in Reno as my wife loves to gamble. I head to Tahoe or Truckee ASAP to enjoy outdoor activities. Mostly mountain biking in the summer or skiing in the winter. We went 6 times one year and may have racked up a little debt in the process. It was totally worth it.
Tahoe Is so beautiful and incredible we love Tahoe too. We love in Sac State and yeah we often visit Tahoe , recent there was a news about squirrel 🐿 plague I got scared when I saw 🐿 be safe.
I absolutely loved this video!!! I could really tell you guys were having a blast - that water looks amazing! I have now added Tahoe to the travel list!! Thanks for sharing this!!
Bwwaaa haaa ha! Bear Aware and Tulum. Best words ever said by Tim & Fin. I miss Tahoe ~ super amazing to be standing at the top of Heavenly Ski Mountain Resort or Whatever They Call It These Days and see the view of this stunning lake then ski on down. I camped at Emerald Bay way back! Pepper - oh my gaaaa, I'm sending our black Lab knucklehead pup with you on your next trip. ;)
Welcome to California, we really love you guys, we have been watching you in TV, but today I give a shot to write you I won’t expect to get response from you, since you are busy creating good video for us, but if I get response from you will be my million honor 😊. I will keep watching all following, you will be my mentor and model or, since Brian and I love to travel and I end up started my channel not so long ago! Please help me whatever you can, I will never forget your help! Thanks and have a great trip wherever you go! See you Fin & Tim 😊
Hi hi -- tx for fab video that cover so much of the epic rocks. They are so lovely. Just a 'wonder'...why does the doggo not have a life preserver on whilst out on such ventures? Also.... please get a waist style or backpack style life preserver for selves for when solo boarding. It is no joke ... things happen especially on more traditional hard style SUP boards etc. Just sayin' cuz in medical field.
PS The rafting was amazing! My friend and I did a section of that river but in a really crappy raft and it was only the two of us (30+ years ago). My nephew is a white water rafting guide. So fun to watch you!
I agree that Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I’ve lived there on and off for years. I’m an avid skier so winter also holds a special charm. But summers rule. Before you head to Napa you should really spend some time in the foothills. Hwy49, Coloma for some real white water rafting on the south fork of the American River- not sure if this still running in October. Parts of hwy 88 and hwy 16 where you can travel through our local wine region- the Shenandoah valley ( and it’s where I live on acreage). Like you I’ve traveled extensively throughout the world for over 40 years. I’ve rode the Dalton hwy on my 1200gs- actually thought I might bump into you guys. I traveled the Himalayas in an SUV years ago, and I just spent last year traveling through South America on a KLR650.
As a resident of North Lake Tahoe, I have to say I enjoyed your video...too bad you didn't have more time there. Also too bad you were there during the fires. Skies are normally crystal clear with possible a thunder storm in the summer afternoons. Also can expect an average of 400 inches of snow each year.
This is my home. All of us locals would really appreciate you mentioning packing out your own trash and being respectful of private property and overuse. Our area is experiencing the worst pollution and overcrowding ever. Bringing attention to our home is great but you absolutely much mention the negative impact tourism is having. Be aware. Be respectful. Be responsible. Pack your trash.
No one owes you anything, Sara. If you're a homeowner enjoy the inflated price of your real estate: you'll see there is always a good side to being a popular destination. I'm sure the local businessmen and chamber of commerce and tax collectors........are all enjoying as many tourists ruining your precious little side of paradise. I'm sure you would be wiser to keep an eye on "who counts all that revenue" and what corruption exists to skim. There's always a skim. Whenever money flows......masons in position get their greedy slob paws on their unfair share. TELL me......what is the positive impact of tourism? Profits. Outrageous price gouging. Taxes collected on that gouging. Locals can scapegoat tourists, while forgetting what happens to the in flowing cash. --"All of us locals": you've deluded yourself into believing that you speak for the local collective conscious? I'm sure the small business owners who depend on tourist dollars (think Las Vegas built on tourism) aren't crying to much on the way to the bank. I'm sure local Government knows how to get their cut in the form of taxes, permits, etc. --"Being respectful of private property": how is this an issue for a transient vlogger? As if a vlogger can influence every slob visiting Lake Tahoe? How was your private property disrespected....and what does that have to do with Tim and Fin's journal of a journey? What crime did a one time visiter to Tahoe do that requires them to put their brand on a story that doesn't concern them.....to drive away tourism? --"Overuse": what does this mean within the parameters of Interstate Commerce Clause rights? Who decides what is "overuse"? --"Packing trash"? Vlogers have no duty to repeat every half assed attempt at building responsibility. How much trash do you create? How much is your carbon footprint? Ever flown on an airline when you didn't have to? You won't ever stop trash....and you can't stop tourism or vlogging. --"Negative impact of tourism"?: what transient vlogger has a clue or care about tourism....when the vlogger is a tourist spending their dollars In the third world......the smart locals love, love, love...tourist dollars. An economy exists that feeds off tourist dollars. You..........are not part of that economy. You didn't pivot to the new reality: people travel, like nature, and seek out new destinations as they look for novelty. No one, especially a vlogging couple (who did nothing wrong) owes you anything. I doubt any vlogger feels a responsibility to intuitively know and champion the complaints of every possible whiner.....especially when "you haven't articulated what you seek" (a narrative of negative impacts of tourism). What exactly are you complaining about: your real estate values are going up....cash in, move down the road....invest in a small business to gouge the tourist (everyone else is laughing all the way to the bank).
Tons of growing up memories there before dragged to Alaska ... and ya wanna talk about lakes MN girl ... AK laughing ... jk ... love love love your day on the paddleboard! Kisses for Pepper. XO, Kelly .... oh and I do the same thing with my packing cubes for the poddy!
Beautiful place. Beautiful people. You've given us much over the years. So yeah, I'm glad this video sucked...for your sake. LOL. An escape from the Hoosier land as the leaves fall in the 30 degree weather. Glad to see you out again. Best to Pepper. She will always be one of my favorite video moments--"flat out on the salt flats!"
I like Tahoe red and the black bears are big and pretty to watch and eat ice cream at the Palos place to lots to do in lake Tahoe to. The tall Tahoe trees to look at high up in lake Tahoe .
Great video, really enjoyed this one. We are looking at going but now i wanna go even more👍 Im glad i asked you guys if you were doing Lake Tahoe, thanks and good luck on 100k subs😎

I haven’t even watched the whole vlog and I have to give it a thumbs up!!! One of your best vlogs.....stay safe out there!
Thanks Robert!
geez, you guys have the life! why would anyone give this a thumbs down? maybe cause Pepper didn't have a life vest on paddleboarding? lol I have full confidence in your lifeguard skills...
My wife and I enjoy your videos that will be awesome to explore the pacific northwest
Reno is such a good option because it's so affordable to stay there! I feel like there's so much to do in that area of CA/NV
Wow Lake Tahoe is stunning. Great video as always!
Just found your channel! I love you both! Such fun! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
My friends and I rafted the Truckee river once but we went in cheap inner tubes and it was honestly terrifying lol
Love,love Tahoe.
that little pepper made me laugh so...thanks for sharing.
Boy, I agree! You guys did a great job! Love it too and dream about being there. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
PS The rafting was amazing! My friend and I did a section of that river but in a really crappy raft and it was only the two of us (30+ years ago). My nephew is a white water rafting guide. So fun to watch you!
Awesome place! Amazing adventure! Love your uploads! 👍
Absolutely Great Tim and Fin! had me smiling the whole time! bravo
OMG!! Pepper is hilarious...you are lucky to have such a great dog!!
This applies to anywhere you visit
Agreed 👍
Yep. I live here too. This summer was very bad with the overcrowding tourists and the trash.
@@lynnwalker True, if you don’t like tourists... just move your ass out and let people enjoy themselves in that wonderful place 💯
--"Negative impact of tourism"?: what transient vlogger has a clue or care about tourism....when the vlogger is a tourist spending their dollars
In the third world......the smart locals love, love, love...tourist dollars.
I hope you drove over to Virginia City it takes you back in time and only 50 minute drive from South Lake Tahoe
You guys do a great job. Traveling in covid via your channel! Pepper is a star!
