Something I haven’t seen anybody say yet is inspiring statuary. Turning your food into mana is amazing with the amount of food you’ll get. You won’t be able to gain the life off the food because they’ll be tapped but it’s still great
This is exactly the upgrade video I was looking for. I wanted to look at upgrades for my precon but sticking with the lord of the rings card pool. Nice work!
I second this! I really like how on point with the theme of the deck this upgrade feels, I dare to say it feels even more on point than the actual precon
I love this precon. Feasting Hobbit is probably the most flavorful card in the deck, and I love the synergy with Farmer Cotton in particular. Cast him to create 5-6 foods, then cast Feasting Hobbit to devour all the food and make him essentially unblockable… seems solid!
Some extra cards ive put into mine would be witch of the moors, which capitalizes off of both the lifegain and Frodo's looting. Academy manufacturer really ups the value and triggers a lot of those artifact entering/leaving abilities like Rosie Cotton, nadiers nightblade, and mirkwood bats. Feasting Troll King and Marionette Master would also be great includes.
I am going to second the feasting troll king! Flavorful for the Hobbit, good beater in the deck. I will also add Wicked Wolf because you will pretty much have food when you play it to fight and then continued indestructible when needed,.
Mondak the White Dominus is a good include here. It can even protect itself with indestructible for two foods and will survive your board wipes and double your tokens!
Excellent choice of background music again. Really fits the cheerful and hopeful Hobbits of the deck. May I ask what the track at the beginning is called?
Hi! I have been absolutely loving these videos. I also wanted to ask you, is there any possibility to add a small section dedicated to cards you cut or the reasoning behind some of them?
Good suggestion. I will consider that next time! I have the videos premade already. In the decklists on moxfield, I put the cards that I would take out in the side board.
The movie looks of Sam mad Frodo is actually spot on. Remember that in the books they state that 33 years is when they’re finally and adult. So 33 is like 18 for humans. So Frodo is human equivalent of like 25-27
hear, hear... the problem I'm having is... what, of all the goodies within, do I take out?!?!? Soo many options! Dang! Edit: have you given thoughts to: Academy Manufactor, Elanor Gardner, Disciple of the Vault? Just to mention a few. 🤠
After checking the list I realized that now there are only 33 lands and with little ramp, do you think this deck can manage or could we consider adding a little mana generation?
@@PubStompMTG Makes sense, got into mtg deck building just recently so I really appreciate it! I hadn't thought of card draw as pseudo ramp for low cmc decks. Ty!
I would say power wise, Riders of Rohan because of how crazy humam tribal is in there. And upgrading it a little will make it more powerful. Will post it tomorrow
Oh, nooooo... Frodo is still considered to be middle-aged for hobbits. He looks like a teenager along with sam. Hobbits mature around 30 years old, and frodo is like 50 years old. He shouldn't be looking like a teenager. Sam is 38, okay, that makes more sense but still looks like a teenager. Im comparing the art to the lore of the books. Sorry, I can't be trusted 😂

Hey good mention with that card!
I suggest Academy Manufacturer. Getting all of those extra treasure and clues whenever food is created would be strong.
Definitely a great suggestion! Thanks for mentioning it!
Good call
great suggestions! many ppl have done decklist with him in after 1st spoiler XD
I wanted to add it to my list but I can't bring myself to since it clashes with the flavor for me
This is exactly the upgrade video I was looking for. I wanted to look at upgrades for my precon but sticking with the lord of the rings card pool.
Nice work!
Thanks! I tried to do my best!
I second this! I really like how on point with the theme of the deck this upgrade feels, I dare to say it feels even more on point than the actual precon
Same! I want to upgrade the precon with cards just from this set, and this was a great video to point me to the right cards.
Added the one ring too for flavour
I love this precon. Feasting Hobbit is probably the most flavorful card in the deck, and I love the synergy with Farmer Cotton in particular. Cast him to create 5-6 foods, then cast Feasting Hobbit to devour all the food and make him essentially unblockable… seems solid!
It's so funny. I could just see him trampling over big creatures like ghalta or the eldrazi

Scurry Oak is nice too. It`s an ent and combo (infinite squirrels yay) with Rosie.
I included her with the flavor justification that Gandalf brought his new GF
I do like that you kept most recommendations in the same set. Great for flavor and versatility!
Thanks for the insight.
Thanks! As a lotr enthusiasy thats what I wanted to do!
I could not be any more excited for hobbit deck. At all!
Very true!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A themed upgrade video was what I was waiting for!
Glad to deliver!
Sting is a must for Magus Lucea, you can use her ability, untap her at the beginning of combat, attack or not… then use her ability again. 😊
Very true!
Mondak the White Dominus is a good include here. It can even protect itself with indestructible for two foods and will survive your board wipes and double your tokens!
Good point!!
Excellent choice of background music again. Really fits the cheerful and hopeful Hobbits of the deck. May I ask what the track at the beginning is called?
It's a track from my video editor. I want to say its called fairy-tale ending? Ill have to check out when I get back to my house
@@PubStompMTGahhh alright, awesome that the editor has so fitting music 😮

@@PubStompMTG Thanks!
I wanted to build her, but this precon will be an incredible place for her instead : Celestine, the Living Saint
Very true!
I want this precon so badly
SAME!

Thats fair
Toxic Deluge is originally from a commander precon, so it being reprinted in one isn't so surprising.

Those are great mentions! Thanks for sharing those! Its so difficult to take out anything in the precon
Ah yes, second breakfast!
They finally got it!
Love this deck!
Me too!
With all these hobbits, you might want to try Folk Hero. I hear Backgrounds are really good with partners!
Good suggestion!
I added feasting troll king to mine
Feating Troll King and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest would boost that one to oblivion…
Those would help a lot!
Fantastic video. I'm pretty stingy with subs, but I have to after this. Subbed.
Thank you so much!
Defs gonna put a cauldron familiar combo in, or even gingerbrute since he is a FOOOOOD
TRUEEE
Do you think gyome deck is stronger or the hobbit precon? I’m actually in the midst of building gyome when they announce this.
I think adding the extra color of white gives the edge to the hobbit precon. With cards like The Gaffer, or other card draw outlets in white.
Hobbit Tribal for the WIN
YES!!!
im super thankful for the deck list but can you show what cards to take out
Hi! I should have mentioned it. But in the decklist, it has a sideboard of cards that I took out. Hope it helps!
I put in aetherflux reservoir as a win con.
Good choice!
The Kithkin deck i never had 😢
The Question is: what are the worst cards to Change out with your Upgrade cards?
In the moxfield decklist down below, in the sideboard option are the cards that I took out
If your budget was infinite, how would you best upgrade this deck?
Upgrade the land base and mana rock base. Add better removal spells. The creatures are decent. But there would be a lot to talk about
After checking the list I realized that now there are only 33 lands and with little ramp, do you think this deck can manage or could we consider adding a little mana generation?
It has a low cmc. I think it is fine without it. You just want more cards draw to not run out of steam
@@PubStompMTG Makes sense, got into mtg deck building just recently so I really appreciate it! I hadn't thought of card draw as pseudo ramp for low cmc decks. Ty!
so gandalf also doubles the life gain from food tokens correct?
Because its sacrificed, the effect will be gaining three life. So yes!
@@PubStompMTG oh absolutely let's go
What would you say is the strongest precon?
I would say power wise, Riders of Rohan because of how crazy humam tribal is in there. And upgrading it a little will make it more powerful. Will post it tomorrow
@@PubStompMTG that's what im getting I upgraded tested it and it's really good and fun.
Eleventy one
I can't finish this. I can't trust anyone that doesn't know a hobbits life expectancy.

Where is doubling season??
Hm. This is a $100 upgrade as in all cards I am upgrading with have to be 100$ or less. Doubling season is over 100$
@@PubStompMTG
Anointed Procession
Parallel Lives
I think frodo sam is the weakest posible commander for this deck
Anyways im super hyped for this deck
Thats fair.
Sam loyal attendant looks terrible.
Yeah its not the best
