Great work Sriram Sir.Keep it up.Regarding the Horse matter, I was expecting you will go in to the matter of why in the first place we were importing Horses when we had our own.For this I would like to share my childhood interaction with my Father on the same Question.The answer I got was the Arabs kept the habit of providing Ladam(A metal piece below the feet) to their horses a trade secret Which prevents,protects and improves the Longevity of their horses compared to ours.This could be the Logical reason.Just thought I should share this.
This thing is explained in 'Ponniyin Selvan' novel (part 3) as Vandhiyadevan wants to put ladam for his horse.

நரிகளை பரிகளாக்குவது நடக்காத செயலே. கதை என்று கூறியதாலும் திருவாசகத்தில் சில செய்திகள் இருப்பதாகவும் கூறுவதால் அது பற்றி அறிய ஆவல். குதிரை வாங்கச் சென்றவர் திரும்பாதது உண்மை. குதிரைகள் வந்தது உண்மை. சில இறந்து போன குதிரைகளை திண்ண நரிக்கூட்டம் வந்திருக்கலாம். மன்னன் கோபம் கொண்டு மாணிக்கவாசகரை தண்டித்திருக்கலாம். பின் உண்மை தெரிய அவர் மன்னிக்கப் பட்டிருக்கலாம். மாணிக்கவாசகர் அது ஈசன் செயல் என்று கருதினார் எனலாம். வேறு ஆதாரங்கள் இருந்தால் பதிவிடவும். கதைகளுள் வரலாற்று உண்மைகள் இருக்கலாம். தங்கள் பணி தொடர வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

Hi! Hos just means new. I am not aware of a horse tradition in Hosur.
@@SriramV long ago I read that horses were brought from Australia to hosur during British times and trained in hosur. There was a training school in hosur housing thousands of horses. From there trained horses were distributed to different agencies of the British government. I am not sure but the towns name too owes a kind of horse lineage.
