My fav. thing about Justin's vids is that a lot of them show off his opponent's best moments instead of only focusing on Justin's own highlights.

@@DJRedrumofEPG Yup, I fixed it! I always mix New Generation and Second Impact, never played them :x so the fact this is OG SFIII is even more impressive!
this is why I love focusing on weird characters in fighting games. They're just built different. Sometimes they're a hidden gem, or they're just weird enough to mix up better players and confuse them. It's so fun.

@@GringoGad facts!! back in the 90's we used to have block vs block snowball fights.. we had an epic one on 1996 a few days after the city shut down ( I feel like an old war vet) but it was so insane. We had whole ass forts, igloos n shit made of snow to stash artillery... This was inside of Highland Park, which was next door to a cemetery EPIC!!🤣
Watching these matches is really funny, because usually you take the knowledge of the previous game and see what works in the new one (eg. SF4AE2012 -> USF4), it's rare to see people take the stuff from the new game, go back to the old one and incorporate everything. Like this oro player is literally using 3S stuff in NG and it's really funny to see.
9:25 one backthrow into an overhead combo, stun already. FAIR AND BALANCED! It always feels like everyone is on the brink of the stun in these matches, and yet the stunbar recovers so slow.

Having played and watched the SF3 series for nearly 25 years (I’m 41) I can say that I prefer the look and feel of almost every aspect of this game over what it became in Third Strike. No disrespect to 3S. Just my personal preference. I can play New Gen / 2nd Impact all day. I love how powerful and immediate all the characters feel. The sound and graphics feel so much more vibrant. Love these games. Love original Oro.

To be honest the oro frequently did fireball into super so might have been auto pilot there

Nah. Oro in this game HAS to be top tier. The fact that he can actually combo off of his universal overhead into c. MP is so fucking good. It's absurd to me.
That immediately gives him a strong mix-up threat from c.MK > hit-throw versus u. Ov > c.MP. This does so much for him. Also it seems like his hit throw does more damage than it does in 3rd strike? Also lost my shit at 4:15 his SA2 is invincible on startup. What the fuck Capcom. Why didn't you give this shit to my boi in 3rd strike???
3rd Strike Oro would jump the tier list immediately if he had this. My minds blown right now. 🤯
You can combo it in 3rd strike also. But it has to be meaty. Uoh is very easy to combo for every character in this game.
Biggest nerf in 3s is his throw. But sean still god tier in this game, same as ibuki
Dang, this was the same guy that was sweeping you through the matches in 2nd Impact a month or so ago ("Oro has to be top tier after this!"). The guy's terrifying!

Best Oro player i've seen was a player named Hrove. He quit 3s, but was number one in the world (on PC) when the SF 30th anniversary edition dropped. Absolute legend on Fightcade 1. He played on keyboard as well.

God Next Generation was a beautiful game. Third Strike might have had the most refined gameplay, but in terms of music, backgrounds, animation and presentation, Next Generation and Second Impact were in a class of their own.
