I concur with running truharts. My brothers ej1 and my dc5…great comfortability, adjustability, and capability for a spirited drive. All of it at a reasonable price. Love how well your build is coming together! Kinda gives me nostalgia watching this….🤙🏾
When you lower the RSX, it’s good to buy supporting mods such as extended ball joints, roll center tire rod ends, etc. to reduce the bump steer, excessive toe and wonky suspension geometry, sometimes just lowering the car could make it handle even worse without those mods. Definitely looks great though!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Try them out man if you already have them. For me I've owned both the rsx type s, civic ep 3. Installing those two extended ball joints and ext tie rod ends for me really made the cars steering feed back feel real good. Also your rsx definitely looking oem plus. Keep it up. 👍👍
I’d really like to hear about the ride quality. Mainly about the rear because it sacrifices preload on the spring to get the ride height right. Great video!
There’s inverted tie rods for this thing. Some else back in the day shortened the steer linkages to help with the toe in problem. I’ve notice that the coilovers with the flat arm to the toe rod ends work a bit better when going low instead of the same looking arm that angles out and up like oem
This RSX always reminds me of my car until it got destroyed by a drunk driving and watching your videos always reminds me off I would learn how to work on my car keep up that oem plus going
So an interesting thing is those coils looks like the same thing I put on my 7th gen civic. And something to keep in mind with any coil overs is the lower the better. I made the mistake of running mine to high and it had some pivot action where the bell threads on and it ruined my wheel bearing. So obviously don’t have it to low but if your going to have it at or close to stock height leave the stock ones on.
When I lowered my rsx I ran into a lot of issues also, first, I noticed my ball joints where out, my lca bushings also, and then once I replaced everything and put some bc racing coils I also had to use the ktuned tie rods for more adjustability for the alignment and taking off the old tie rods was a challenge. Now the car is good but this rsx suspension gives a lot of headaches

You are not alone with the front suspension headaches of the rsx/7 the gen civic My suspension setup was: Dc5 steering rack risers Aluminum Steering rack sliders Garage16 x brace Longer inner tie rod and oem outer Coilovers Megan racing height was about 1.8 ish front and rear The one thing that bugged me that was rear sag notorious for rsx/civic chassis So what I did was swap out the rear springs of the coilover to a 14k 6" length spring... I’m loving the ride quality so far. Preload is perfect, and it just seems to get better the more I drive it. Perhaps you were running too much preload?
Your car looks amazing. I buy the same coilovers for my civic sedan 05, like yours the rear coilovers don’t have to adjust the spring like the front ones, so lower I go, more losses are the springs, so it’s like you cut the spring and the car bounce. No happen to you.?
