I bought my '05 RSX Type-S back in 2012. I still have it. Last 6 years or so, it has been just sitting outside since I have got a lease. But the lease is ending soon and I have started working on the RSX. It is a great car. I still love it. Many times my wife has asked me to sell it but I refuse and get annoyed that she even brings that up. Right now, it needs some love. Roof paint is pretty gone, the driver fender paint is peeling. AC doesn't work. AC being the big issue since this will be my daily once again when the lease is returned. Great video series. Love seeing a clean RSX. Great job on the car and hope to see more videos.

Good to know a youtuber who can appreciate 2 door coupes this day in age. I’m also an RSX/Integra owner and I too own a 05 Type S and once I got it I never looked back. As a second owner of my RSX I’ve had mines and thank goodness it’s still operating normally in 2023. Car owners don’t appreciate special cars until the dealers stop selling them and the RSX is a special car especially since the Type S model is extremely difficult to find = expect to pay a lot of $ money $ for it if you’re lucky enough to find an owner who’s willing to sell it. Don’t expect too much as this car is discontinued and the market of car owners back then is different as opposed to today 2023. Most of these people can’t even drive a manual trans car and they are not worthy of owning an RSX. As my own way of saying it “the car picks its owner and the owner controls the car”. Only people who are excited about special cars can talk enthusiastically about a car such as the RSX-S for a high amount of time. In 2023 if you want a “clean” or descent Type S you have to buy a used crappy one and rebuild it yourself as it’s true these owners don’t maintain their car.
WOW this video came out at a great time! A month after I got mines!! 05 Type S! It was my highschool/college dream car as well! I plan on K swapping and doing tunes... I plan on keeping mines forever!! My first stick shift and I feel so comfortable in it.
I loved my 2002 type that I bought new. Kept it for 20 years but finally had to get rid of it due to rusting away..literally. Got to where I couldn't jack it up to change winter an summer wheels as jack points would collaspe. Traded it for a used 2016 Miata Sport manual which helped getting over the loss of my RSX.
The way you talk about the RSX which i totally agree with... But my 07 Honda fit has to be the best daily to compliment my 99 Civic hatchback and my 01 4Runner. It doesn't have a K series but its just so fun and it looks good. I would love a RSX but the GD3 is so under rated rn that its easy to find parts in the junk yard unlike my other vehicles.
Followed ur whole journey on this DC5 and its been a pleasure. Really loved how uve kept it oem and clean. One of the best examples ive seen. I think putting on the aluminium pedals from the DC5 Type R would be the only thing left to compete the look - lemme know what u think! ❤

This is amazing Anthony. Hope to meet someday cause I have a RSX 2005 just like this and every little mod you are doing I will be following in your footsteps. Easily the cleanest OEM+ RSX I have ever seen and strive to have it look like yours one day. Also I have been eyeing the gold RPF1s I think gold would look fantastic to contrast the black paint.
Used to own an ‘03 Celica GTS and I miss the hell out of it, looking to get an 05-06 Type S. This video was a great help and educated me a bit on the car. Great video!
Thanks for your videos covering the RSX. It really is a great car. My 03 base 5spd is still kicking. Aside from door dings from careless idiots and clearcoat fade, the body is still in perfect condition. 10 years so far with it, ive had the engine rebuilt at 226k miles. I have to get the trans looked at, at some point. Other than that the car still runs great. I am constantly getting complimanets on it. Makes me happy to hear them, but know that the paint isnt perfect erks my nerves a bit lol. I feel you on the not wanting to sell it part. I have had mine for 1/3rd of my life. It is part of me. And anytime i even think about selling it, i tear up. This car was made for me. And i k ow i would completly regret selling it. So i will do my best to keep it no matter what. Thanks again for the content man. I look forward to more coverage on it.
I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on the shifting once the new CMC and Slave are added. That’s EXACTLY what I am gearing up to do once I get a new clutch n flywheel in the next few months!
I’d recommend if you haven’t addressed the power steering pump already. Rebuild you factory unit. I purchased a rebuild kit on eBay from Poland I believe. Came with new vanes, gaskets, and I acquired a bearing elsewhere. Very simple process.
ahh the good ol days. I used to have an 05 Types S too. It was silver. I got it up to 145mph stock lol. I think I have a video still on my channel. Its old af though.
Anthony, the guy that can grow a mustache while still talking about his RSX. Meanwhile 🤭 I love mine too (2002). I prefer the old look. 👀 For example: I understand people may like just the newer red/white taillights, but I feel much safer with the yellow signal lights. Plus I swapped dome, glove box, trunk light, license plate light, middle brake light and every single taillights’ light bulbs to LED and doesn’t trigger hyper flash - which is more noticeable during winter storms or rainy nights. I also installed a Spoon Sports front strut bar, though I cut off the part from the oem one where some cables run in other to have clearance and be able to use both bars at the same time.
No wonder I like your videos so much. 28:50 - you mention wanting an RSX (I have a 2006 Type R semi-clone), an S2000 (I have a Greddy Turbo S2000), and an Evo (I'm passively looking for an Eclipse GSX, but Evo is acceptable).
Very nice RSX, helped me find a part I needed on my RSX. Nice job💯👍. And you are 100% right yonaka has the best sounding exhaust, only drawback is it's a 2.5in OD that's close to stock but a great sound. 💯👍
i miss my 06 vbp type s so bad. a florida man came to visit LA and rented a maybach which he crashed into my parked rsx at 6am, totaling it. was never gonna sell it. bone stock with k&n filter. had plans for her...280,000 miles and drivetrain was still going strong... rip my first new car.
I would love to see a TSX/RSX hybrid. The coupe/hatchback of the RSX is awesome, but I love the way the 06-08 TSX front end looks. I get that many people, including you, love the RSX front end, but to me those huge headlights make it look so dated and the TSX headlights are actually timeless. But the TSX is only a sedan and the weight really puts a ceiling on driving fun without big mods so I wish there was a coupe/hatchback option like the RSX or the civics. Just my opinion though😅
Just got into the trucking world got my cdl last month hoping to buy my self a 05 type s or a very very clean EK but would prefer a that 6spd K series 🤤🤤
Absolutely love the car but honestly prefer the look of the stock wheels more. Maybe alloy or silver would set that black paint job off so well. Either way the car looks fantastic. It reminds me of Rsx I'm kinda sad i sold it.
Please put PPF on the headlights. It’s cheap and will preserve them for a really long time. As you pointed out they’re hard to find and expensive. I did that on my 2005 and do t regret it at all.
I love that car! You have it looking so good. I just got a base model RSX and I still love it even though its not a type S. I have done a ton of research and someday, I could get it up to 200hp which is good to know that it's even an option. I would like to some day have it up to 200hp and still have automatic transmission because it's just really grown on me. Is there a way to add the OEM lip kit from the type S to the base model? That is probably my favorite part about it. I really like the second gen design of yours, but also I like the 04 version as well. I ended up getting aftermarket headlights. I agree totally with the design of it. It is simple, but something about it is special and I don't think any of the new Acura's look that good unless they are the type-s varients and even the integra looks kinda funky to me from the side view because of the way they did the hatchback.
These RSX type-s are the best most reliable affordable sports cars that ever existed. I had on 2005 ran it from 88k to 240k miles with nearly zero issues. Had to replace the clutch, slave cylinder, and cabin blower fan. Funnest car I've ver owned. I had 3 integras prior and a WRX after. Acura totally dropped the ball with not continuing paying homage to the integra/rsx. The new integras are complete trash and putting that name on them to try to gain back the teggy heads was just disrespectful IMO.
Ive enjoyed this build doing a similar thing with my ep3. I went interior first and then motor swap to a k20/24 frank setup. Figured i see the interior most and drive it more than look at it. Plus ep3 body parts are stupid pricey for the hfp/type r stuff.
There's quite a few Frankenstein k swaps, was curious what your reason for the k20 / k24 setup? I've heard k20z3 head with a k24 bottom end is a killer combo with some slight modifications.
Anthony, throw some dye in the power steering, I bet there’s another leak! Or at least it’ll confirm it’s the seal you replaced. Good luck! I be had 3 rsx’s in my household at one point, I think 2/3 had aftermarket radios and they both made that weird noise. Wasn’t able to figure it out
Might have seen you in my neighborhood this week. If you ever see a 2012 white si coupe around Meridian, it could be me. I owned a 2004 RSX type-s for a while and watching your video here makes me want to source another one.😂
It was my dream car while in high school, I never got to own one 😢 Acura should have brought this back instead of the Integra. But surely they would have screwed it up.
I prefer the front end/rear end/ headlights/taillights on the 05/06 to the teardrop headlights and taillights on the 02/03/04. I drive exactly the same RSX as yours, but without the high spoiler.

You are inspiring me to start my refresher of my 06 RSX Type S. I have owned at the ripe old at of 19 and bought with 1 mile on the odometer. Really felt what you said the thought of getting rid of it. I will not do this!!! Love the videos!! Keep them up! I watch all content but loving the RSX even more to help me with mine!
I remember when my good friend went and got a 2002 RSX Type S new off the lot, and I loved that car and what it represented at the time.
I like what you've done with your car and looking forward to seeing more!
I had an 02 Type-S. I did a few mods:
Injen Cold Air Intake
JDM Type-R LSD
Progress Rear Sway Bar
That K20 Engine was a Joy to Scream out. The Limited Slip Diff was an awesome upgrade. The front end clawed in and put the torque down hard through the corners.
Black Recaro seats would be sweeeeeeet, great content, love ur dc5
Agreed! Those would set it off on the inside for sure
Ahhhh QUEEN RACE ACURA RSX TYPE S
I got one last model 06 a long time ago (sold in 2015) to the end my young blood journey haha.Talking about at that time in California
RSX to asian vs S2K to mexican or those guys were born here
SUBI STI 2016 to asian vs EVO MR 2015 to those guys born here
WOW,it was a great time in my life never forget it bro.I was real in work hard and play hard with everything.Your rsx is clean and great but I cant good hear about your cool air intake sounds ? yokana is good but i think Skunk2 better.
This makes me want to get a 3.5k used, banged up 2007 Acura TL Type S auto trans and make it look better than it is now. Love the video and car.
yup, you summed it up perfectly great watch. I finally got around to getting my first car and i happen to find a clean RSX.
Congrats!!
WOW this video came out at a great time! A month after I got mines!! 05 Type S! It was my highschool/college dream car as well! I plan on K swapping and doing tunes... I plan on keeping mines forever!! My first stick shift and I feel so comfortable in it.
Been waiting for this, makes us think we maybe should do that for ours as well, your videography is top notch!
Thanks dude! You should!!
I love this car. Gonna try and find one for my next daily, but like you said it's a pain to find them not clapped out.
24:53 the sound is luring me in and im in love
Don’t get rid of it. This is your forever car!
you should do either acuity,or PRL CAI, RBC intake manifold, some hybrid racing fuel rail and injectors, biger fuel pump, and acura ZDX throttle body, with Hondata, Tune it to 225 whp
Amazing editing and everything anthony! Another great RSX video keep it up❤
Super clean build bro. Just bought my 05 rsx last month, clean 149k miles. So excited to dial it in to be the perfect canyon carver👌
That’s awesome man! It’ll be great up in the canyons
I hope you do!
Keep it man
Clean RSX 👌
I still have my 06 in my garage.
That looks so clean!! Now i wanna have one, too 😅
You should!
Love you man! hope you are doing well
Also I went full spoon on the exhaust paired with a gruppe M cold air intake. The car growls now 😁
The interior is amazing
I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on the shifting once the new CMC and Slave are added. That’s EXACTLY what I am gearing up to do once I get a new clutch n flywheel in the next few months!
This is how I want my rsx to look like fr
I think it’s a clean look personally!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY this is my favorite build I’ve seen so far, and honestly a huge inspiration. Amazing job!
A year already! Wowza
One of the best Hondas ever made but I wish the front end looked a little more in line with the JDM dc4 integra
Looove the yonaka exhaust for RSX. It was my favorite mod on my type s
That's just a sweet ride. I'd do a few laps in a parking around that for a better look.
Edit: Clean is the word I wanted. Clean clean clean.
Amazingly beautiful car. Really enjoyed watching the journey
Glad you enjoyed it!
I currently own a 2006 Rsx base and honestly prefer the titanium interior over the black
no way it has been a year already 😳
I want to get one of these, I used to have a Integra back in my 20s
been to Oregon and back a few times with a full load of stuff and people in the back. underrated interior.
It can fit more than most people think!
Very nice RSX, helped me find a part I needed on my RSX. Nice job💯👍. And you are 100% right yonaka has the best sounding exhaust, only drawback is it's a 2.5in OD that's close to stock but a great sound. 💯👍
Good stuff man. I enjoyed this lengthy review.
Glad you enjoyed!
She's a beaut. I need to PDR mine and add the Type R wing...
i miss my 06 vbp type s so bad. a florida man came to visit LA and rented a maybach which he crashed into my parked rsx at 6am, totaling it. was never gonna sell it. bone stock with k&n filter. had plans for her...280,000 miles and drivetrain was still going strong... rip my first new car.
Bro I love everything about this rsx!
Thanks man!! I really appreciate that!
I’m getting an 02 rsx type s next week, it’s making 450 to the wheels😁
Just got into the trucking world got my cdl last month hoping to buy my self a 05 type s or a very very clean EK but would prefer a that 6spd K series 🤤🤤
Awesome car ! I dig it 👍👍
Great review looking to get one of this vehicle
Thx for this content. 🎉 keep going with the dc5!
Thanks dude! Slowly but surely getting more filmed
Absolutely love the car but honestly prefer the look of the stock wheels more. Maybe alloy or silver would set that black paint job off so well. Either way the car looks fantastic. It reminds me of Rsx I'm kinda sad i sold it.
I second bronze wheels on a black/basically black car, it looks amazing
whoa you have a cleaniest honda ever
Please put PPF on the headlights. It’s cheap and will preserve them for a really long time. As you pointed out they’re hard to find and expensive. I did that on my 2005 and do t regret it at all.
I’m out in Caldwell with mine. It isn’t quite as clean as yours but it’s slowly getting there. Mines also boosted though lol you’d love my plate 😂
RSX wow love it😊❤
I love that car!
I have a 05 type s for sale clean Jade Green with blue and green flakes looks awesome in the sun
Konig should make their own wheel stickers
Agreed! I think they would sell well
What a beautiful car ❤
Ive enjoyed this build doing a similar thing with my ep3. I went interior first and then motor swap to a k20/24 frank setup. Figured i see the interior most and drive it more than look at it. Plus ep3 body parts are stupid pricey for the hfp/type r stuff.
There's quite a few Frankenstein k swaps, was curious what your reason for the k20 / k24 setup? I've heard k20z3 head with a k24 bottom end is a killer combo with some slight modifications.
ep3's only had the a3 engine and its booty. I am doing a a2 head on a k24 bottom end with type s rods and pistons. @@TheOGtyler
Anthony, throw some dye in the power steering, I bet there’s another leak! Or at least it’ll confirm it’s the seal you replaced. Good luck! I be had 3 rsx’s in my household at one point, I think 2/3 had aftermarket radios and they both made that weird noise. Wasn’t able to figure it out
Good call with the dye
I gave my Type S to my bro in law. I do miss it... I went from the Type S to a EVOlution X to a Supra.
Was it a good move on your part. The RSX feels so airy to drive. How's the evo and supra compare?
Might have seen you in my neighborhood this week. If you ever see a 2012 white si coupe around Meridian, it could be me. I owned a 2004 RSX type-s for a while and watching your video here makes me want to source another one.😂
If you do sell this car and still want to see it in Idaho, please at least let me know. Should never have sold mine.
Right on! I’ll keep a look out for you :)
the intro edit 🤩
Hey! Glad you liked it :)
It was my dream car while in high school, I never got to own one 😢 Acura should have brought this back instead of the Integra. But surely they would have screwed it up.
lol a tsx and accord powersteering pump is probably the most common issue on any car ever
I prefer the front end/rear end/ headlights/taillights on the 05/06 to the teardrop headlights and taillights on the 02/03/04. I drive exactly the same RSX as yours, but without the high spoiler.
I don’t mind the teardrops, but the sharper looks of the 05/06 does it for me
Beautiful rsx man hopefully i can own one as clean as that one day or 2 😃
Thanks dude I hope you do!!
About to be 2024 and I’m still looking for a RSX 😂
😮💨 and here I'm still trying to do a full black interior swap on my tan rsx type...the only thing im afraid to do is the dash.
i just recently bought a 2003 rsx base for my first manual at $5k and only 90k miles and am super happy, needs some tlc but im planning to get to that, i just wanna know how you got your engine bay to look that clean cause that is what i wanna do, and restore some rust too hopefully
i like the headlight cups theyre cute
