I wish would have said something about overnight charging of a smart phone. But thanks for the video. It broke few myths for me. I am a user of redmi note 3. I have this habit of putting the phone in charge before going to sleep every night. Not sure if it harms a phone in a long run or not

I use a Samsung NP5505pc laptop, it has a battery life extender option, which basically does not charges the battery after 80%, so that i need not worry about unplugging the charger once its fully charged. given that my laptop is plugged to the wall most of the time its in use

Actually i do agree. i have also tried charging my devices with both fast and regular charger. Though the fast charger charges the device quickly but it also drains fast unlike a regular charger. I cannot quote the source but i did read somewhere that when devices charge fast they drain fast and when they charge slow they also drain slow.

hi @geekyranjit - you mentioned using the normal 1.5 amp charger over the fast charger to get better battery life. Would you recommend doing this with Nexus 6p . I use the supplied fast charger and am only getting 3 hrs SOT. would you advise charging with wall charger of normal 1.5 Amp?

P.S. - My handset is Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, so please do answer in that perspective!

Hi sir, may I know the reason why after charging a phone to a certain percentage, sometimes after a few % is used, the battery info in settings still says something like "Battery use info is unavailable", where the graph is still flat? Does that have something to do with calibration or is it the problem with the battery?

hey ranjit, i bought a lenovo zuk z1 from the 1st day sale. i m facing two problems. one is that if i put double tap wake on to my my phone, when i get a call, and hung up the call the phone gets hanged and i have to restart it evrytime.
and my 2nd problem is..last sunday i went to gv a bank exam as i was not allowed to carry the phone i kept it in my bag for about 3 and half hrs. battery percentage was about 75%. after i came out from the examination hall, i reached out for my phone and my phone was so hot like it was burning up and the phone was restarting. and after 10-15mins it started and battery percentage droped to 8%. why is it so?

Hi Ranjit. I own a Nexus 5 phone and I would like to know a way where I can come to know whether it's time for me to replace the battery. I got this device as a replacement to my previous Nexus 5 from Google in Jan 2016. Also, it's a refurbished phone.
The battery lasts for about 6-7 hours with a regular usage however if I'm watching TH-cam, etc., the phone starts heating up along with a quicker battery drainage rate and the 6-7 hrs. duration reduces to 4 hours.
I don't play any games btw.

Please comment on battery calibration issue. I have xiaomi redmi 1s which gets charge in 2 hours on miui with 0.5 ampere charger which is sort of fast and gets warm but battery doesn't.I am on cm13. After viewing your video I tried to charge while phone switched off then I noticed battery % change to 59% from 49% then again switched on. But again after stitching off it went to 49% and switching on after 5-8 seconds it was 50%.So I think after purchasing new phone it should be drained to 0% to callibrate battery. Or if after 1 year prolong use battery life gets reduced it should be callibrated. What do you think? @Geekyranjit
