Actually the boba fett rocket firing toy WAS released. My dad had one but got rid of it. They are incredibly rare because of the slots that the rocket would launch out of. The j-slots are more valuable because (as i know) they weren't released. However the L-slot (the original ones) WERE released. The toy (as far as i know) never did any harm, but the company hiring the toy manufacturer said it was dangerous. they responded with prototypes of the j-slot but were refused and the figures were from then on released without the firing rocket.

I remember how mad I was watching return of the Jedi but George Lucas didn't know how popular boba was so you know that's why in the story he survived the sarlacc pit it's a joke when you kill off a popular character by the blind.
Actually the Original Special Edition (1997) had the Original Boba Fett voice still. That wasn't changed until the DVD Trilogy in (2004)
