I am a 90´s child. I saw Labyrinth and Willow but never seen this jem, until one day, in 2015 I was listening to a song from the Black Metal band Summoning: A distant Flame Before the Sun. In the end of that song there is a sample that plays Darkness quote: "Throught Dreams I influence mankind".. I googled it and took me to this movie. I HAD to watch it! LEGEND has a warm place in my heart and I am thankful that, withouth knowing, I could see it with the Tangerine Dream score which I just think it is perfect.

also, watch the film! Legend is a flawed classic, but unforgettable once you see it. ridley scott usually produces excellent director's cuts, but in this case he was right to edit it down. his DC is sort of a meandering mess. the european release is the best followed by the US theatrical cut.

Whenever I hear this song I think of my good childhood friend Jordon who passed away in a car crash that was no fault of his own. I think of him because I went with him and his parents to see this movie when It came out in theaters. I had to have been no older than 8'....RIP MY FRIEND!
I watched this movie for the first time when i was 16 and because of it i have a newfound love of fairy tales and magic. Ive always been into fantasy and this made me feel like the world really is a magical place

A "feelgood" movie, always! I would've wished it was a 3hour movie. Like LOTR, I turn on the movie and I just want to stay there for a good while. BTW, to anyone who hasn't seen the director's cut, don't waste your time. And I usually LOVE director's cuts.

Julie Martin Wallace I owned the director's cut first and that's what I always watched over and over, then I got the released version and I got all confused because they cut out so much; they cut a huge section of Gump being creepy (seriously though, he creeped me out before I learned to love him lol), and I do believe the director's cut doesn't have Jack returning the horn the same way, just less dramatic I think ya know =)

The original 90 minute theatrical version has the Tangerine Dream score which includes this song at the end. The over 2 hour version is the Director's Cut with the Jerry Goldsmith score.
You have to buy the DVD set that has both versions . The original cut and the directors cut . The original cut has this song and it's way a way better version of the movie.
I did the same thing you did. Bought the wrong copy and had to research which one to get. I hate the Director's cut. For me, Tangerine Dream's music is what makes the movie magical. So....instead of buying another copy, I found all the music and downloaded them instead. 😉
This filmed in Crystal springs, Florida. You should go there on a trip. It’s good this movie is Pure spiritual and a movie ht o can watch Tim after time . And will have he same affect on you as the first time watching it

Legend is a far better Fantasy movie than we first gave credit too. Now looking back, visually its just as impressive as anything that came after it. Arguably in many ways it supersedes that which has followed it. Practical set pieces seen in several films but dressed in a way that look magical in camera. This film looks rich and analog, where as todays films look digital. As an industry animator vfx artist im well aware of the shortcomings of cgi when done wrong. Unfortunately the scale and budget of todays productions could almost never see to production set pieces being practical. just far too much work and too much cost vs the timeframe of production delivery. in other words you cant have a pizza in the oven but for so long or it will burn. but glory to those films of the past that achieved great things. My boyfriend bought me a necklace just a few days ago, and I put it on right before we went for a hike. Within an HOUR it fell from my neck! could anyone please tell me which of the dvd versions has this song in the end credits? I had this movie recorded and I loved it to pieces... but then I got the directors cut and i hated it. sry for those who like that version best, but i don't. i want my memories of magic and Tangerine Dream back. So please, could anyone guide me on where I can find MY version of the movie? please..

The original 90 minute theatrical version has the Tangerine Dream score which includes this song at the end. The over 2 hour version is the Director's Cut with the Jerry Goldsmith score.
You have to buy the DVD set that has both versions . The original cut and the directors cut . The original cut has this song and it's way a way better version of the movie.
I did the same thing you did. Bought the wrong copy and had to research which one to get. I hate the Director's cut. For me, Tangerine Dream's music is what makes the movie magical. So....instead of buying another copy, I found all the music and downloaded them instead. 😉

This filmed in Crystal springs, Florida. You should go there on a trip. It’s good this movie is Pure spiritual and a movie ht o can watch Tim after time . And will have he same affect on you as the first time watching it

Legend is a far better Fantasy movie than we first gave credit too. Now looking back, visually its just as impressive as anything that came after it. Arguably in many ways it supersedes that which has followed it. Practical set pieces seen in several films but dressed in a way that look magical in camera. This film looks rich and analog, where as todays films look digital. As an industry animator vfx artist im well aware of the shortcomings of cgi when done wrong. Unfortunately the scale and budget of todays productions could almost never see to production set pieces being practical. just far too much work and too much cost vs the timeframe of production delivery. in other words you cant have a pizza in the oven but for so long or it will burn. but glory to those films of the past that achieved great things. Ironically Legend was to be a much larger film and production had its practical set and sound stage had not burned down before the end of shooting. i cant even begin to think what this movie wouldve been had the fire not happened. what a cinematic loss. th-cam.com/video/uTWcQ89hVBI/w-d-xo.html

My boyfriend bought me a necklace just a few days ago, and I put it on right before we went for a hike. Within an HOUR it fell from my neck! A friend of mine had the director's cut with this soundtrack. It was the best of both worlds.

Disliked it. There were good scenes, but overall the original is way way better to me. With the director's cut, I was like is this a musical or not?? OmG decide!
