BACKSTORY:
On Saturday, May 7th 48 kids traveled to Nashville, TN to record 8 songs at Starstruck Studios, thee world class recording studio owned by Reba McEntire. This was our most involved recording session to date...running 19 hours, from 8.00am to 3:00am. During which from 4pm to 7pm the students recorded Tangerine Dream's, 'Loved By The Sun' as featured in the classic 1986 Ridley Scott film 'Legend'.
If you have ever seen the movie 'Legend' then you know just how amazingly unique and moving this song is!

This is why Music should be seen as important as Math, Reading and Writing. Not everyone is going to look for the cure for cancer, write software or design big buildings. Some are going to be the people that create, perform and appreciate the soundtrack of life.
Or . . . more likely . . . some who can create, perform and appreciate the soundtrack of life will be the ones who will also know enough about Math, Reading and Writing to find the cure for cancer.
if the human race could learn to work together as well as these kids for a common purpose , we wouldn't be looking for the cure to cancer, we would already have it.
A few years ago, back when my coffee shop was struggling, I'd be in the back washing all the dishes late at night because I couldn't afford anyone else to do them for me. Well, I'd have this song on my playlist, the original version and this one. It helped distract me from all the feelings of hopelessness. Such a beautiful escape. Here I am years later listening to it again. I eventually had to close the doors on my shop, but I have some wonderful memories of this song and a sink full of dishes.
Thus made me sad. Sounds like you have the work ethic to kill it, whatever you do.

Everyone should listen to THIS rendition on a good set of headphones. IT IS AMAZING!!! I have always loved this song but hearing it through headphones brought me to tears. So much more to hear.

All of these talented kids are several years older now and I've only found this a couple months ago. This production of this song is so incredibly moving to me that I keep coming back to watch this video at least 2 or 3 times every day. It soothes me and makes me smile. That voice of a very young Kala Rose is like, wow! All the kids on the many instruments are so talented and play their parts well. Bravo Aaron O'Keefe for providing this kind of opportunity to kids like these. The videos are so much fun to watch that I now rarely go to the original bands' versions, haha. Well done!!

I am just astonished by this video. Legend is one of my favorite fantasy films and one of my favorites with one of my favorite actors Tom Cruise and this song is the most beautiful of all of its soundtrack. Plus, the way the kids were singing it was just so beautiful that I was crying. I was crying because I was astonished by how great they sang it and I can sometimes cry when a song is that beautiful. I don't know why, but I just do. You guys rocked it!

I've never seen the movie Legend, never heard this piece of music before. However, this was so professionally performed and captured that I almost feel I don't need to see the movie or hear the original piece. It sounded amazing and full of emotion. After the last video I watched I expected nothing less.
That movie and it's soundtrack are amazing. I strongly recommend taking the time to watch the theatrical cut. (That is the version with this great music.)

46 & 2 was awesome (better than the original imo because you can't hear Maynard's voice), but this and Magic Dance are the 2 that are stuck in my head, literally for months now. I think this was composed better and Kala's style is better - could be just 'cause it's more modern, idk - and Magic Dance, I think I like it better just 'cause it was a flawless performance by such talented KIDS! Mad kudos to you, Aaron, and all your students and everyone who worked with you on these!

Amazing! You guys were just so amazing. I've always loved this song since i saw Legend as a kid when it first came out. The little girl singing was awesome and seeing all the kids involved all they way down to the little one on the chimes was so cool. Whenever i hear this song i feel hopeful for the future. Legend is not possible without the evil minions and the smaller one with the horned helmet as he spies on Lily speaks that classic line I will never forget.....She is so sweet, I could eat her brains like jam! Loved the Gump and all his crew who with Jack and Lily's help kept the light alive, and pushed back the forces of darkness once again. At least for a little while.

Hello I really liked this version I think the best I've heard, and more enjoyable than interpreted by young children and suggest them to continue making new age cutting issues. would be great to interpret the theme of Jon Anderson "Change We Must" greetings from Valencia Venezuela.
