Fun fact: the attract-o-gel material (obtained from the muppets level pack DLC) can actually be obtained without the need to purchase the DLC. You just need to find a level that had a prize bubble that isnt DLC locked.
the MGS pack is still probably my favorite. it had a cool, sorta gritty atmosphere that's unique compared to all the other dlc's. also the paintinator revolutionized bossfights in lbp1 community levels.
I wish we could've seen a remaster of some of the older DLC packs. I feel like the Metal Gear Solid pack could've been really cool if it had been remade on the LBP3 engine

Both are really great pieces of music to be fair, which is one of several reasons it gets ranked so highly on the list. Both sound tracks match the level perfectly
I completely agree. The way that every stage is designed to look like Andy's imagination is a really clever idea, and one that really sets the pack apart from the others

Maybe for a series you can rank all LBP Music (from all main games) and have 1-3 in one video, dlc from 1-3 in another video, and maybe all sequencer instruments in another video (including dlc)
Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve got quite a few LBP ideas in mind now, but I shall definitely keep your one in mind too for a future LBP ranking when I make one next
@@Crocko I second this, music would be awesome :) My list of favorites on just the LBP3 Base Game without DLC's is still huge, We Are Enough, Manglewood, Out Of The Frying Pan, etc.
Id love to see this video again, except instead of ranking them on the levels themself, you rank then based on the materials/items/stickers/collectables you unlock from them
Comphermc and Lockstitch worked on the DC Comics pack. Maybe that is why it was so good 😅 The Move Pack will always be my top pick. The new orchestral music sequencer instruments revolutionized community music. Also, note that the Move Pack added the *triplet* feature to the music sequencer. Combining triplets and duplets allowed for some advanced tricks, such as implementing ninelet cymbal rolls and melodic rhythms faster than the 16th note grid. The Move Pack also contained many decorations and stickers that could be used for both realistic and cartoony levels. The sticker panel material was also introduced in the Move Pack. This might be the single best material in the game for many reasons. The sticker panel material is less expensive than the hologram material in create mode. It can display any sticker and modify brightness, opacity, and RGB color, allowing for maximum sticker customization. Perhaps an unknown feature with sticker panel is to attach a destroyer set to the "fall apart" animation. Capturing the object as it is being destroyed will allow you to place invisible barriers that Sackboy can pass through and that other solid objects can not. This was an interesting way to implement the physics tweaker back in LBP2. The Marvel Pack, while it didn't add any new gameplay features, had some impressive level design (especially Freeway Frenzy). For an 8 minute long level that incorporates 2 parallax scrolling sections with many unique vehicles to traverse, this was incredibly impressive to pull off in LBP1, especially considering the thermometer usage. I agree with most of your rankings from a pure gameplay standpoint. LBP had some great DLC, and I always looked forward to seeing a new level pack.
My favorite DLC level kit definitely has to be the Move Pack or Cross-Controller Pack. However, I didn’t get to experience the Cross-Controller Pack since I didn’t have a Vita so I only got it when it was turned into the Sci-Fi Pack in LBP3.
I got to play it when it came out. It was crazy. The logic gadgets that let you communicate wirelessly between systems and the gateways that sent Sackboy back and forth was nuts. Too bad nobody really got to put any of it to good use in the community before it was delisted.
A small fact about the dc comics pack the sackbots that you cant kill with elements EVER is cyborg and joker the rest can be killed in different levels in the pack
Damnnn i miss days when i used to play LBP. Last time i played it was like 2 years ago. I joined community LBP in 2013. Now it’s like nostalgia for me to watch every video. And yeah DC was also my number one and always will be
I miss the LBP days too. LittleBigPlanet was a game like no other, as every day you could play something different on it, making the game stay fresh and exciting. If the LBP3 servers weren't so bad, I'm sure the franchise could still be thriving to this day
An intresting part in mgs lbp 1 pack is that the final boss is made to make fun of the creators that copies cool levels like ab bomb survival, even in the ending, you defeat him by destroying his copy level machine, which is what creator copiers do.
