30 Minutes of Big Canadian Pacific and Norfolk Southern Trains in Scenic Upstate NY, Fall 2022

Despite the different style title, this video is just like my usual local railfanning recap videos. Covering action in October and November, we see big Canadian Pacific freights, Norfolk Southern running through, and an Amtrak qualification run.
Lots of train action on the former Delaware & Hudson mainline in North Country New York! Canadian Pacific runs massive freights along Lake Champlain with Norfolk Southern-Canadian National sharing the rails to and from Canada. We even catch NS 8102 Pennsylvania Heritage Unit!

I rode the Adirondack with the dome car from Rouses Point to Albany and back, down one day and back the next.

When 7550 and 8102 were down here on NS. The guys in our messenger group didn't care for 8102. They only cared for the Rs5t on 7550. 8102 was an afterthought

After watching these trains roll along the Lake Champlain corridor, always noticed the amount of lumber coming in from points north.A few years back a log buyer for a Canadian flooring mill invited me to visit The Mirage flooring company.very impressed.and much of its origin was from the Adirondacks in N.Y. Great vidio!

I’m not sure- I’ve only been paying attention to freights for a few years, and I can say that I’ve never seen one on any other railroad but CP.

@@LeoDaBeast I record at 1080p60. I could do it in 4k but I can’t be bothered storing that much data and no one watches TH-cam on 4K screens.
