Great! You forgot to disconnect the battery's negative cable, it's a must when dealing with electronics in car also will reset the ECU when first start the car👍

What size coupler would I need if I have a KN cold air intake and I got the 80mm throttle body?
How long did it take for it to come in. I ordered mine about two months ago and it still hasn’t came in yet
What can I do if I disconnect my battery before installing and once I turn it on the idle was so bad and i wasn’t able to drive it anymore

A few suggestions:
1) upgrade to a cold air inductions intake. Not all intakes are the same. CAI is the best brand for the 5th gen
2) windshield washer reservoir relocation with an intake air scoop. They put the washer fluid right below where the intake pulls in air from. The relocation and air scoop made more power for less than 200$
3) e85

Chris J Thanks for the subscription. Yeah I’ve been looking for an intake. This intake I bought actually gained 6 wheel on a dyno. However lost power since its not in a box like the cold air inductions intake so it gets heat soaked if that makes sense. Also did you have the windshield washer mod and/or e85 on your car?
@@Sameres123 I did not have it on my v6, ended up trading it in for a 6th gen ss. But theres alot of information about it on the camaro5 forums. Theres also some videos on here with camaro v6 that have e85, should net you 20-30whp if its available in your area.

Overkill is out of business, they never reply to any messages.The 80mm 5th gen camero throttle body is no longer for sale.
Did you honestly notice a performance and response gain from the ebay intake? Reason I'm asking it's because I don't know if the expensive ones are worth the extra money. If the ebay one works for less than half the money, I could just build a cover to paled on top of shield. Thank you

I just recently had the port 80mm tb, ported epoxy filled mani combo from Kenny installed on my camaro plus the K&N AirCharger Intake. I’ve gotten my authorization code back but I’m at work so I have to wait to get back home to update EFILive with the code and then get the tune but in all I can definitely feel more power w/o Will’s tune and can’t wait to see what the car does with the tune
Same here. My datalog didn’t save for some reason that I was gonna send to will so I have to make a whole new one.
If you add an 80mm do you have to change anything else? Or can you just add a throttle w/o having to alter anything else?
@@Ahtazal you’ll need a tune, as it’ll likely throw a check engine light for running lean due to the added air flow, at least that’s what is happening to mine while I am waiting for the retune

Raúl just make sure to unplug your battery before disconnecting anything. And reconnect the battery only when you’re fully done with installing everything. It’s going to idle weird at first and will take some time. You’re just not going to get the most out of your performance gains without the tune

another question, just saw your SS intake install for your maro. do you think it's better than say a K&N cai? K&n doesnt require tune but SS intake does right?

Black.Hippy overkill tune for sure because on a dyno, you’ll get one tune for your mods and that’s it. With overkill, you get unlimited tunes. So we with every mod I add each month, I get a free retune. Best bang for the buck

Dalton Allen it did not come with the 80mm throttle body unfortunately. You will have to buy a larger 90 degree silicone elbow that will fit your cold air intake.

febz thanks so much for the subscribe! Also gains from the throttle body upgrade vary if you are tuned or not. However, someone with a impala lfx put the 80mm throttle body and gained 10 wheel without a tune. So it’s a very good upgrade.

Kriese TV not necessarily however it make the car run smoother and you’ll get the most power out of the setup
@@Sameres123 Oh Ok thanks! I just realized, your the guy in the facebook 5th gen performance thread asking me about my hp gains on my from my cam upgrade on my v6..lol small world. But my car is pushing out around 360-370 at the wheels. That's with the cams and the other mods.

You do not really have to. The computer will freak out regardless and give a rough idle for about 30 seconds and driving will be quite rough afterwards. However, the computer will slowly relearn the new parts and after 175 miles of driving, my car is completely smooth.

U didnt use anti seize grease for ur manifold bolts or torque them down?
What the difference between the stock intake manifold and that other manifold you install?
AUDY PEREZ the other intake is ported. More air = more power. It really compliments the 80mm throttle body

ALEJANDRO CALDERON yeah it was revving so weirdly at first and it still is after 300 miles. You really need a tune to get rid of that and to get all the gains out of it. I’m waiting for my retune from overkill

@@Sameres123 I did mine yesterday Bro and its settled more then it was, I get a slight rev while in Park of 600 to 1000 rpm @ times. But runs GREAT in gear and Better throttle response! Thanks for your Reply and your Video!

Where can I get a 80 mill throttle body? Overkill doesn't want to sell me one for some reason.
Overkill sucks! It took almost 2 months for me to get my throttle body and Will is almost impossible to get in touch with! Try and find another retailer. Good luck!

So, if I may ask how much did you spend on all these mods?
I ask because I'm a '18 camaro RS owner. I've got the LGX V6 and it started at 335HP. I'm gonna be at 510HP(up from 432) after I get it back from the shop. I stuck a edelbrock supercharger on it with a stage 2 tune. Why bother with porting, and all these baby mods that are gonna add, what. 20HP total? 30HP total? Sure they're "cheap" but they don't really make that much of a difference? Why not stick a procharger, or a cheap turbo kit on it. Hell, use the Edlebrock kit I used. You'll still have a sleeper V6 and you'll be able to push up well above standard performance and even surprise people. These mods are "real" mods, let me make that clear. You're not doing the same crap people that shop at Autozone for vents and stickers do. However you're not getting enough horsepower gains to matter.
My stock LGX rated roughly 275WHP on the Dyno You might be at 285? 295 if we're being generous? You can't feel a 10-20WHP gain.
King Orthocone so yeah I get your point. I first dynoed stock at 257whp. Then after everything was done, I finished off at 292 whp. I currently have put a vortech supercharger kit on the car and I’m making around 400whp. I just wanted to go baby steps
@@Sameres123 Fair enough. I haven't seen any videos from ya with the vortec, and you should show it off! You should be able to match up against most (stock) V8's, if nothing else. You may not always beat them, for a variety of reasons but with 400WHP you'll be close.
@@Z51MAELSTROM It's better to remove as many intake restrictions before going FI and easier to tune after, so I think he made good choices for the route he wanted to take.
Have you had Any issues with your Edelbrock Supercharger? Also is the Supercharged V6 your daily?

No I've had 0 issues with the supercharger. It performs very well, is reliable, delivers smooth power when it spools up.
