Hey man I have a question on the injen intake. I just purchased one used and I see on the directions that you can download off injen website that there is this black like extension piece that screws into the stock car frame/bracket right by the washer fluid tank, and then the bottom half of the box attaches to that. Well I do t have that piece, and the person I bought it from claims he never used it. I just dont want to get all the way there installing it and have to turn around and put stock on over some little piece....

Would probably see more gains with both though, more air through the TB doesn’t help power a tremendous amount if it’s limited by a restrictive intake filter (noticed he has an aftermarket CAI kit, so that helps) or a stock manifold. Looking at doing manifold and TB at the same time anyway personally. My game plan is CAI -> Exhaust -> Headers + Intake manifold+TB at the same time (gonna do all headers and manifold, as well as a camshaft if I can swing it, at the same time since that’s gonna be about as opportune time as I can get to replace timing chain and head gasket just as a precaution)
I got it through Overkill’s website. When you click on the throttle body and start reading the description I believe at the bottom he has all the links for the silicone tubes depending on what cold air intake you have. He explains it in the description, overkill.com :)

To be honest it is a little expensive but if that isn’t a problem I say get it!! Do you have a cold air intake already or nah?

@@chunksdiaz3878 Perfect, the cars going to feel totally different. You’ll notice the difference as soon as you turn on the car but for it to be smooth and be at its full potential it takes like a week or two for it to break in. Honestly I think my favorite part of this mod is that it makes driving in traffic and doing errands a lot more easier and enjoyable!

My research I found on Camaro forums a posting with a couple pics of the TB w/ part # so I’ve been cross referencing it and appears the 80MM TB is used on 5.3 vortech engine among other apps. I’m just not sure if I need the adaptor plate to fit on my stock manifold to mate the TB, still checking that out, TB is avail on eBay and other sites too.
No, so the Laminator FX you can install no matter what. You don’t need the ported throttle body to be able to install it. JacFab released a video on his TH-cam channel like 5 months ago explain how the part works! It’s a good video is the reason why I bought that instead of a brand new ported intake manifold. Hope this helped!
L Gbay Overkill includes everything! They throw in the adapter plate, longer bolts, and the throttle body. It’s all their, just a bolt on modification. Now since I’ve had it for longer I can say my gas mileage did get better! The cold air intake and the throttle body definitely made the gas mileage go up :)
The manifold spacer is a separate part and is not needed with the ported manifold! Those are two separate parts for more airflow but if you add both of them to the car like how I did that’s how you can maximize the engines potential! Some people just put the spacer and some people just replace the manifold, either one is still good
What’s up dude! I have one because it’s basically an extra filter that you add to your motor and it catches all the excess oil. I check it about every 4-5 months. Sometimes it’s almost full and other times there’s barely in there depends how much I’m driving the car. It suppose to help the engines intervals be cleaner and less gunk. It definitely doesn’t hurt to add one to your car!

Raúl When I first first installed it and turned it on, it was idiling a little weird for like a minute but then it calmed down. You just gotta drive the car around and leave it on for a little while even after you’re done driving so the computer can get use too the more air coming in. After like 2 weeks the car was idiling perfect
Hey what’s up dude! I don’t know, that’s a good question, I haven’t really noticed it anymore as much as before. Idk if that’s because I got use to it or it kinda stopped doing it. But it’s not a big deal., is not annoying, and if anything it makes the car sound more aggressive. Nothing to worry about :)
Make sure the cold air intake or the stock one are all sealed properly no air leaks. Clamps and couplings are on good. Disconnect the battery from the trunk for like a hour and two and reconnect it and turn the car back on. Let the computer reset itself
Yes and no. I didn’t tune it right after because of this mod particularly but once I finished adding all the bolt ons i wanted to add then I tuned it. Hope that makes sense haha

I think you may have talked me into it. I've been thinking about changing the throttle body. I too have the Injen Cai and the tower brace / 2014 2LT RS. Still need to catch can too. Looks like my car. Mine is also blue ray metallic but I put some silver Hood Spears and side rockers and gills and also a blackout Camaro rear tail light sticker. And a nice sub in the trunk. But I would like more performance so thanks for sharing this video and look forward to some more mods.
Do you remember what size for the coupler to fit that intake? I have mine all hooked up, but the couple I'm using is huge....this looks much cleaner.

Do you have videos to intall the laminator? Do you need tune for the laminator itself?

I have a 2012 impala 3.6 , can I swap out the intake to the Camaro and do this ?

No, so the Laminator FX you can install no matter what. You don’t need the ported throttle body to be able to install it.
