The Chin-o-lator! 83% of the gain, 22% of the cost, sounds good to me.
To remove the air waffle, my suggestion is take a replacement hacksaw blade, wrap one end with some ducttape to protect your hand and saw the mounting points. The hacksaw blade will get nice and close to the surface if you do it right, you should get a very flush cut that doesn't need cleaning up.

What is the purpose of the cavity at the front of the manifold?What is the purpose of the air waffle by GM in the Manifold?
Curious as to what is the purpose of that air cavity?? And what is the ETA for restocking?
My question is need to make any modifications to the intake? Or just work on stock manifold
No mods aside from what’s shown in the video.
How are the regular manifolds filled regularly?
A high temp urethane resin is poured directly into the cavity.
Can this be used on the manifolds on the impala with the lfx?
No. It will only work in intake manifold part number #12642700, commonly found on the Camaro, CTS, and ATS.

@@RacnJsn95 how many horsepower gain and this will fit on my stock intake manifold?
It should be comparable to the results from our ported intake manifold but slightly less. It will only work with an stock manifold.

It hasn’t been dyno tested, but based off of the flow bench testing is should be comparable to a ported intake manifold, although slightly less,

Nick6Michael you’ll be able to install it, but unless you enlarge the opening of the intake manifold, it’s still going to be a 72mm Tb opening

The manifold for the 2016 is filled and ported, top and bottom, it is not just an insert like what you see in this video. You get a whole manifold that has been modifed. We start with only new GM intake manifolds.
If you need to part with the part you used in the video...I would be willing to take it off your hands!!
