If portal 2 would have released today, it would make headlines for advocating "far right ideologies" bya virtue of a player coming to a conclusion that if a centralised system is built with a single agent making all of the decision it's best to have that agent know what the fuck its doing rather than having every whack team up against it and elect the dumbest, loudest whack of them all for this role.

Sorry I’m just obsessed with this game and the humor within it, one of my favorite kinds of games are Meta ones with the hints of humor also Robots!
I’ve had so many Portal based dreams revolving around Cores and it’s made me love the creativity surrounding every part of this magnificent game, making theories isn’t my thing, but this is the one game that actually made me go through a loop of thoughts and ideas, since it’s the one game that spits lore at you even when the universe links itself with Half-life because it’s around the same time. You could say my brain put a portal on the ceiling and floor causing a loop of thoughts to fall and return in a never ending circle of theories

Did i just notice something at 1:05 ? The game actually help you not messing up the portal choice by changing the color of the portal that was put on the wall. Notice how the portal that she wanted to go to was orange, and she fired the orange portal at her feet, wich should have gotten her on the part with the gel dripping. Guess the developpers didn't wanted you stuck down there
Glados giving Chell that burnt companion cube gets more funny the more I think about it. It was probably the cube that she threw into the incinerator before, and the way Glados just dumps it to her was sorta like: 'Here, you can go with your best friend. You didn't actually kill it'. Its sorta touching and simultaneously its a final wordless jab at Chell.
In Portal there is an easter egg in the test chamber of the companion cube: a random tester got a crush for the companion cube and in the secret camera draws some paintings of the companion cube (with lots of hearts)
Imagine glados as a gps: “Turn right here, TURN RIGHT HERE, Oh, You already turned right, I thought I said turn left, You monster, I have to redo this route now, All because of you we’re in this situation now, I can’t believe I told you to go left, And you know what you did? Always, always loved Wheatley. It broke my heart when he was flung into space. The voice actor for Wheatley made it the saddest because his voice fit Wheatley perfectly. Just wanted to get my feeling out about him. Have a good day or night everyone!
He says “GRAB ME! GRAB ME! GRAB ME!” When he gets shot into space, Like he did when he uncoupled from the line at the start of the game. Now at the end of the game he is uncoupling from GLADoS’ thing.
At the beginning when he says "This is the part where I kill you!" if you evade the spikes and then stick around, he says there's cake at the bottom if you jump off the edge. You actually get an achievement if you jump off after he says that. Wheatley then says something like, "Wow. I didn't think that would work."
That cube was the Companion Cube Chell took along in the first game in one of the test chambers. Then Glados forced her to burn it. Then about 50 Years later, after sending Wheatley to space, she sends up the very same companion cube from the first game. Only with burn marks.
"Go make some new disaster" "You're someone else's problem" Please plesse please Lord Gaben make Chell go help the Freeman make some disaster on the Combine 🙏🙏🙏
Supposedly portal 2 could be as long as 50,000 years into the future. This is extrapolated by counting all the 9's in the first part of the game when the computer is saying how long you have been sleeping. However, this could also have just been a glitch, given how badly Wheatley took care of everything. I tend to think it was a glitch, given that you come out of a slightly rusty tin shack at the end. most metal decays in the weather in as little as a hundred years. This shack looked to be in far too good condition to have been sitting in an open field for 50k years looking only a few years old. Note too the weather vane blade, also looking less than 100 years old. I suspect that Chell escapes sometime during or just after the Half Life games.
I don't think that's going to happen since Chell wakes up after 50,000+ years. But erm. There is a slight possibility because of how G-man keeps his pieces to himself until the time comes to use em again. It's sort of like a... 50/50 chance? It could be... Hmm...
She never deleted Caroline... GLaDOS is and will always be Caroline... and now she knows that. There are two explanations for the turrets... 1) The turrets at the end are GLaDOS's creation (She gave them personalities)... that is her kingdom... notice the new fat turret leading the orchestra, in the spotlight, on the raised platform?... that is YOU... now with the loudest and best voice... she gave you (The "Fat mute lunatic") a voice in her kingdom... and she chose the best voice. GLaDOS is the king turret, over-watching her kingdom... watching behind the glass... like she always has. The other turrets are the other test subjects... Remember... Caroline/GLaDOS was ultimately a test subject too... 2) The same as above but the fat turret is Caroline... and GLaDOS has been insulting your weight as she was in fact fatter than you and is jealous... The King turret was Cave Johnson... and they are all dead... She presents this as a gift... just for you... I wish i knew the answer. Portal is and will always be underrated.
Nah mate. Pbody is Chell and Atlas is Wheatley. Notice how their shapes and the colour of eyes reflect you two. Chell is in an orange jumpsuit and Wheatley has a blue core. The 2 of you traverse and do GLaDOS's tests and undermine her instead of trying to break into the vault.
Another reason is that Caroline IS her. It would be like deleting what makes GLaDOS herself. She's just re-repressing the memories she had from her and refusing to reflect on the past.
was I the only one that didnt want wheately to go yeh he messed everything up but that was because of the machines AI that causes them to go crazy with power. Once you see him in his normal power core he says sorry for what he has done.
I really wanted to somehow save him, I really did. I would forgive him for everything he's done, I mean, It's not his fault being so stupid or the fact that he got corrupted by the thing
The last of us, GOW, Persona 2-5, ANY OF THE MOTHER/EARTHBOUND GAMES, the friends of ring ishikawa, the true ending for nier automata for crying outloud the list goes on
15:09 The Earth still has oceans. According to fact that the Combine was draining water off the planet, in what period do the events of Portal 2 actually take place - before the Seven Hour War or well after the events of Half-Life 2?
well after the events of half life 2, 50-50,000 years in the future since chell gets put in a long sleep at the start and most of the facility is destroyed through time alone

It really hurts seeing what they were capable of, doesn't it? At least Portal wasn't left on a cliffhanger like Half Life.
So, it wasn’t just Glados getting rid of Chell, but also Valve getting rid of single-player games
well valve owns steam so they didn't go anywhere. but i miss Valve games like this. but we do have Outlast.

I love how one of the Turrets are still in the box, besides the other cores and main characters the Turrets are always going to be my favorite. I’ve been playing through the games for achievements, currently doing the Radio ones, but the one which is my favorite secret is where you can find a group of Turrets in the wall singing!
You could say my brain put a portal on the ceiling and floor causing a loop of thoughts to fall and return in a never ending circle of theories
that portal just travelled from the earth to the moon in just 3 seconds-ish
thats like 1/3 the speed of light
Min Chae No, I don't think so. I read somewhere that communication to the moon takes 1.5 seconds. Thus, 1.5 seconds for the portal to hit the moon, 1.5 seconds for the flash of the portal to reach you.
Min Chae Yeah, here you go; www.answers.com/Q/How_long_does_it_take_a_laser_beam_traveling_at_the_speed_of_light_to_reach_the_moon 1.3 seconds. Double that for you to see the results.

Glados giving Chell that burnt companion cube gets more funny the more I think about it. It was probably the cube that she threw into the incinerator before, and the way Glados just dumps it to her was sorta like: 'Here, you can go with your best friend. You didn't actually kill it'. "You're someone else's problem"
Please plesse please Lord Gaben make Chell go help the Freeman make some disaster on the Combine 🙏🙏🙏
Well this game is kinda really far in the future so Freeman probably died of old age, would be cool though.
Justin Van Der Wiel G-man probably kept alyx and Gordon in stasis like he did in the first game until he needs them again

What do you mean "underated"
What about the qeeun turrets (the nest)?
