Hi! I’m working on enrolling into class for RT. I found your videos. Just watched a good one about school and time management etc. Thank you for that! Can you do a video explaining your first job after graduating.. How you chose, negotiate pay and hours expected to work in this field etc. How is your life after your career started? More time for fitness, friends, fam etc?
    Thank you for the motivation!!

could you do a video on how to properly but an IR behind a patient that cant move in a gurney for a chest x-ray when you are by yourself and have no one to help you move. I was in this situation the other day and it was not pretty. Where i work we dont have inflatatble mattresses or side pockets to put them thru. I ended up just trying to pull their shoulder forward and sliding it behind their head and push it down there back which i had to do pretty hard. im worried im going to hurt myself or even the patient accidentally, any tips would be helpful.

Which book did you get to learn all these positions and reasons? Thinking about getting into a program btut would love to get a head start studying. Or if you have any old Powerpoint PDFs from school is there somewhere we can download those? Great instructional man.

I’m like a year late, but if they’re unable to move both legs, then you do the Nakayma ( definitely spelled that wrong) method for a trauma hip

Never include all the pelvis and iliac crest in a hip projection. It is unacceptable to include direct exposure to testes or even take an exposure without further lead protection from scatter radiation. You don't have to include the skin edge in any of these projections. Just accurately collimate to the cassette then use the illuminated field as your guide. The radiography shown do not relate to the images produced partly due to being different people and partly due to masking. If you ever need to mask an image, it means you didn't collimate correctly. The shoot across lateral was bizarre. Never have a 3 foot distance between patient and collector unless you are using an air gap technique which is never used for shoot across lateral hips. It is a massive exposure and body dose could be reduced to 1/3rd if accurate collimation is used. It is possible to tilt a focused grid if you know the geometry. That will mean you can send your beam horizontal to the table surface. This will require a slight up tilt to match the slight angling of the grid if the grid lines are horizontal. To find out how to use a grid properly without any grid cut off at all, please look at my video. th-cam.com/video/mZPD_gLs5Dw/w-d-xo.html The main faults with the video are in collimation which could have cut the body dose to half and the gonadal dose to 1/1000th for men and 1/100th for women
