Thank you for another great Wooly Wednesday! We love finding inspiration in our felt scraps and upcycling them into a beautiful piece of mixed media art. What will you make with felt appliqué?

Geez - I think I missed the barn owl episode. How did that happen??!! The Great Blue Heron in the background is absolutely gorgeous.

I just love the heat n bond idea---especially for use instead of pins when stitching an applique in place.

I’ve been learning embroidery because I wanted to use it on my felt pieces. This gives me even more ideas of what I can play around with!

When felt is wet,I use a water color pencil, and the chalk or the heat erasable pen works usually well enough for me if it's gotta stay dry😊 also, Marie, those are super cute mixed media pieces ❤

Just to put an irritating European spanner in the works, it is neither APP-lee-kay, nor app-LEEK, I'm afraid - though you are correct to notice the acute é which makes the 'ay' sound.
The stress is on the second syllable - *ah-PLEEK-ay.*
It's really hard to undo the pronunciations of a lifetime, isn't it?! 😆 I also think it's a tricky word to get right just on reading, without hearing it pronounced correctly first.
