    Excellent instruction. You told us the reason why we do everything including the acidity/alkalinity of the wool, etc. Really, really good. I am a new fan and will now proceed to view your other videos. Thank you so much for being willing to share this information!

    Lovely work, Aansha.... I find this so inspiring.... I have yet to try felting, but have a bunch of scarf kits to work on and your videos have spurred me on to taking a leap forward and enjoying this beautiful craft. Light, love and Peace ( and a heap of gratitude ) 😄

      Patrick Plein that is great to hear. But be warned ... it is addictive and once you start you won't want to stop. Good thing you have a few scarves to make 😉😀

    This is a very good video, even though I already wet felt I learned something from this video. I have also watched your tutorial on felting a beach scene and that was also excellent. Thank you and I hope you make more videos.

    Hi, I'm Eva Espindola from Brazil. I love wet felt, and I 'm arts teacher.

    Thank you for watching despite the slightly muffled sound quality. It is one of my first videos and I didn't know the best youtube settings to use. Did you still find it helpful? Or do you think I should bring out a "re-mastered" version?

    Great video thank you for this information. I’d like to use my homemade felt for botanical printing, as you did at the end of the video. However, my botanical printing method involves very hot simmering water. Will this affect the felt by shrinking it?

    • @AannshaJones
      @AannshaJones  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try a test piece and see if it shrinks.
      The main thing with wool and/or felt that isn't cometely fulled, is to not agitate/rub/squeeze the felt when it is soaked in hot or very cold water, as that could cause it to full more I.e shrink.

    Can you use a rolling pin?

    • @AannshaJones
      @AannshaJones  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. There are rolling pins that have patterns in them so they create more friction that are made for felting.

    • @SirSilentSquall

      @@AannshaJones oh, so ridges would be needed. I was hoping I didn't have to take up room buying another item lol thanks!

    • @AannshaJones
      @AannshaJones  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SirSilentSquall Well, if you still use the bubble wrap on top of your work, and roll that, it should work. But you'll have to make sure you don't press so hard that you burst the bubble wrap bubbles!
      btw #relatable on storage. l live on a boat now and storage space is a premium. :D
