These are just fantastic, Kari!! Such a great way to use up old sheets and pillowcases!! I love love love them!! Thanks so much for sharing this great idea!! 😁❤️🎄⛄️
Thank you very much, Cyndi, yes they are great for thrifting those odd pieces of fabric and the feel of the resulting fabric paper is lovely. I really enjoy using it! 💗💗
I just came across your videos. These are beautiful. I have been wondering what in the world I can do with my beautiful napkins AND fabric. Thank you! I am also going to try to make the wallet- what a great idea!
Oooh I love the blue and silver polar bears one the other one is nice but you know me and green ha ha 🤭😂😂⛄🎄I must get round to doing some fabric paper... Maybe a project for next year 😊😊💖
Oooh I especially love the wallet, so neat and pretty. Thanks for sharing this technique Kari, I love the gold and green 😍. Oh I am back on your Patreon again. 🥰
Thank you for a new way to combine my 2 loves of fabric and paper! I have a lot of ingredients to use. Recently, I made a large batch of journals that just need the outermost covers made. I hadn't a clear idea of what to do just yet...but now you have given me fresh ideas!
Thank you, ahhh another person who loves fabric and paper, they both usually call me in different directions, so I was very happy to be able to combine the two in these projects. The resulting fabric makes great journal covers! 💗💗
Such a lovely project for Christmas or other special occasions. And I want to thank you for having a nice camera set up. I know they aren’t cheap but it is discouraging to watch a video and the quality isn’t good enough to show detail. I appreciate your dedication to keeping your channel classy and instructive. The postal strike sounds awful for businesses but a great excuse for not having to send out all those Christmas cards. Hugs and a cuddle for Darcy 🥰
Thanks Kate, it took me a lot of trial and error to get the set up where I was happy with it. Yeah the postal strike is awful, but I do support the workers, they should have a decent raise, they work so hard and the company makes a huge profit every year. I still have lots to post, eek! 💗💗
Thank you so much Becca, I was a bit worried at some stage thinking the fabric paper looked a bit crazy, but it looked great cut up in the end - phew! 💗💗
Thank you so much Kari, I really really enjoyed watching you create this amazing and beautiful fabric paper. Lots of inspiration too. And the thing’s you’ve created with are absolutely amazing and beautiful too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
@@KariGibsonArt lol, just call me super slueth!!! Lol Thanks for all of the ideas!!! I'm sure that i will find many more on my own as well. I've always enjoyed the look of tissue paper decoupaged onto things, and this process is even better!!! I love the transparency of it, especially on the cheese cloth! I never would have thought of doing this without your wonderful video's!!! Thank you soooooo much!!! Wishing you a lovely forever, filled with kindness and love!!! And sending you big fat hugs!!! 🍃🤗🍃
You do beautiful work! What a wonderful idea! My hands aren't good but I do love watching you make things with your hands. I'm a mixed-media disabled artist and my Mom helps me make my art. I love her dearly and I don't know what I would do without her. We made angel Christmas cards years ago and they sold well, mostly neighbors. I need a new idea for next Christmas and you're inspiring. Thanks and take care!
Hi Miss Dee, thank you so much, I am sorry about your hands, but I am glad your mom helps you. Those angel Christmas cards sound lovely, we make cards for my sister's church and they always sell well. I made Christmas gnomes this time. Not sure what I will do next year. Happy arting as much as you are able! 💗💗
Thank you very much, they turned out great (even though I was a bit worried about the way the paper looked at first, it looked lovely when I cut it up)! 💗💗
Kari, both fabrics are very beautiful and the white bears 🐨 🐨 so, so cute. Amazingly beautiful work and it shows how talented and hard working you are. It's inspiring to follow you. Will check the other link also - the one you provided on the comment - but tomorrow b/c it's already 3 am on this side of Europe.
Oh, maybe it is then, I find the strong stuff impossible to get out of places where I don't want it to be, LOL. Oh, I will look out for the Michael "Mack-en-kacker" one, that sounds funny! 💗💗
You said you weren't feeling Christmassy yet which brought to mind Michael MacIntyre's bit aboutfeelingChristmassy. Do you ever watch his Christmas specials? I have to wait until they're on TH-cam to watch them since I'm not in the UK. I enjoy watching his stand up comedy.
Will this work with wrapping paper, or other types of paper, like magazine or ads? Only tissue and napkins? (Btw- Ty for amazing content and creativity! I love this video!)
I have not tried making fabric paper yet? Du think mod podge would work? I love everything thank you for the lovely video! I haven’t done any Xmas crafts yet I have lots of stuff but haven’t been in the mood lol 😂 xx ❤
Thanks Kerri-Ann, I am sure Mod Podge will work, try it on a small piece first maybe? I am still struggling with feeling festive, but I am now trying hard to get it on, LOL! 💗💗
If you would like to see more fabric paper, I have another previous video here: th-cam.com/video/zFkEa5FcD0o/w-d-xo.html

Also forgot to say that nice to hear you finding 🎄⛄ Christmas feel little by little. 🎄 🎄
I am forcing myself, LOL!
Thank you so much Sirkka, oh you were up late! 💗💗
@@KariGibsonArt oh no, forcing doesn't sound good. Just let the Christmas feeling come by itself if that happens, otherwise it's not good.

Spread glue starting from the center and spreading outward eliminates wrinkles

What size sewing machine needle & what kind of thread do use use on this thick fabric paper? Very pretty❤
Hi Kaye, I just use a standard needle and standard Gutermann sewing thread, it works fine! 😀❤
♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Patsy! 💗
Can one use acrylic gel medium instead of PVA glue?
Yes, I am sure you can!😀❤
What’s the best fabric you have used? I am going to try muslin
I quite like the plain lightweight cotton, the muslin is lovely too though! 😊💗
Do you use the full napkin layers or just the patterned top one?
Thanks Ruth, I just use the top layer. 😀💗
Do you make your lovely ribbons
The ribbons are recycled sari silk, it is lovely for this sort of thing! 💗😊💗
