Damn the lieutenant guy nailed his role. Even in the other scene where they find the body, he was awesome (on her person? What kind of expression is that?) lol
@@makochin Both he and Bookman are basically riffing on Jack Webb’s Joe Friday character on “Dragnet”. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jack Webb was also borrowing his style from an earlier model in old crime dramas.
@ddegn Well. Kramer was proven innocent thanks to the brilliance of one George Costanza. If you watch the episode, you'll see why. And it was a "derp" moment.
This is one of the best scenes they ever did on Seinfeld. Kramer realizing everything at the last second. “HELP ME!!!!!” 🤣 The whole episode, both parts in LA, it’s like Seinfeld: The Movie.
That's why I LOVED the whole Keys episode and the arc of Kramer in LA. I never thought of it like Seinfeld: The Movie... but this totally could have been a bit longer and been a freakin awesome movie.
It is basically how crooked cops secure _confessions_ from innocent people. Berate anybody for 12 hours, making fake promises of freedom with an admission of guilt, and foolish suckers fall for it. Never, *EVER* talk to a police officer when accused of a crime without a lawyer present.
Just to think: this all started with Jerry taking back his spare keys from Kramer. 30+ years later the impeccable writing this show had is still unmatched... "How'd you know about the guy in the park" line is legendary...😅
This sitcom has no equal. It threw the rules into a dumpster (with pieces of The Merv Griffin Show set) and did something extraordinary. Others are good, but they'll clog it up annoyingly with a manipulative, endless "will they or won't they" romance or something stupid. I wish Seinfeld had a proper blu ray release where we could see the entire camera image in HD; Netflix (and previously Hulu) has the cropped version where the top and bottom have been slightly trimmed, so that the show is forced into the modern 16/9 rectangle size. So therefore you find odd close-ups here and there, and some things are out of frame.

@@sortofanoakyafterbirth3661 The Office is so good. It's got such great characters and writing that I almost forgive the transparently manipulative romantic nonsense (be it Andy and Erin, Pam/Jim, Angela & Dwight, Ryan + Kelly, or whoever). Great profile name there!

Well, that is difficult. The four characters all fit like a glove. Elaine fit that role. Georges' character and his pettiness played off Kramers' outgoing nature.. it goes on & on like that!
It reminds me of the Oswald arrest. He was cool because he knew he was innocent but under interrogation he got nervous thinking they were trying to frame him with it.
I was talking to some friends and family member about Seinfeld. We all agreed that Kramer was the funniest and really made the show. The others were funny but Kramer was the man. I heard the the cast objected against the audience chapping so much for him when he entered the room. They said they couldn’t concentrate but I think there was some jealousy going on. Jerry was making millions and didn’t care if he outshined anyone. He knew what side his butter was breaded on.
