About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

Ordinarily I hate when Hollywood tries to get in on Internet memes. But Seinfeld actually invented this one.
Seinfeld was a meme before memes existed 😂😂😂

Honestly the most shocking part is that Kramer had $100 lmao
who says it was his money?
he definitely borrowed it from Bob Sacamano
He always has those, its all he carries.
He only gets hundreds...
@@gunnasintern or Lomez
I honestly think "You'll be out before we get the check" is the best line in the entire show.
This and the other few hundreds that have become part of folklore
Might be top 20
Nah. "a show about nothing" is the best line
Nah that belongs to: the sea was angry that day my friends
@@Ash16180 There are definitely more iconic lines in the show, but in terms of pure humor I'd say this the cleverest.
Kramer slapping the cash down and saying I'm out is the funniest part of this to me lol
The best part is that they were all watching the woman across the street who was naked in her apartment, he leaves and comes back while they were still watching, meaning he left to relieve himself and then came back.
@@DevinHeida he jerked it in the hallway
This episode aged extraordinarily well.
which episode?
@@jacobbell8171 the one where the joke originated.
The Peeping into the window is a little ehhh but these characters are all supposed to be kind of bad people.
4:29 😂😂😂
Other than the JFK Junior reference
I didn't realise on my first viewing, but 'The Contest' was so *dense* with jokes and amazing moments, it could have easily lasted four episodes.
I wouldn’t say they would last that long
That's just Seinfeld, though. Still the best ever.
@@cesar5379 lmao
Fun fact: The show won a "Best Writing" Emmy for this episode without even saying the actual "M" word.

Poor Marla. She was so traumatized by what Jerry did (the Contest) in the Autumn of 1992 that a year later, she had to change her name to Daphne Moon and move to Seattle
This contest is beyond tame by today's standards.
And still funnier than any sitcom episode in the past 20+ years
@@beensupe 100 * edit except for curbed of course!
Most of the stuff on this show is beyond tame by today’s standards
Thats why i like it
Good, you're not anachronistic.

I’ve never heard actual real human laughs on a sitcom and I now know the beauty of it
That’s because Seinfeld was actually funny
Where have you been
Most 90’s sitcoms had live audiences
Is this the first sitcom you've watched
Every person who recorded that laugh track is probably dead by now. You are listening to dead people laughing.
I've never believed that George would so easily tell this story (especially in a public place). He would try to keep it secret.
It's one of his few successes. Except he lied.
Madness he has no shame
George has no shame. This is exactly on character.
I dont think it's an issue with the writing or anything, he was being discreet with it and not directly saying it so without context, a passerby hearing a couple sentences of the conversation wouldn't pick up on it
George can never keep a secret
“Ya know….I was aloooone….” The greatest line in the past, current, or future history of sitcoms.
"George, what are you doing?! My God!!"
What is it with youtube commenters and their infatuation with claiming they know what the greatest of anything is? 🤣

"i come home to find my son treating hid body like an amusement park" has to be the most innovative lines in a comedy ever.
"I shave my legs!
-Not every day"
Took me ages to get that joke 😂
I’m still struggling
What does that mean?

At the end of the episode, all of them were sleeping soundly.
@@jason60chevIncluding Marla in the arms of JFK Jr himself.
They left out the scenes in bed each night. That was part of what made that episode even funnier. Elaine tossing and turning after her Yoga class was hilarious.
Elaine: Oh, that's baloney- I shave my *legs*
Kramer: *Not every day, you don't*
This line killed me 😂😂😂😂
Better than the line, was her uncomfortable inability to bring a response!!🤣🤣🤣
Could you please explain?
Seinfeld really put NNN in the title 😂
“Dependent on cub scouts to feed him” is an insane line
My favorite part is honestly when Elaine says "I shave my legs" and Kramer replies "Not every day"
Should have been-Not twice a day 👍
Seinfeld is pure class.

Ray McKigney didn’t actually die. He found Kamar-Taj while searching for a cure for his hands and became sorcerer supreme.
