I love Levi’s view in this clip. Usually, you see an anime protagonist become so idealistic that they believe taking a life automatically turns them into some sort of evil monster. This isn’t bad in the slightest, but Levi’s view doesn’t undermine this viewpoint but shows a different side. It’s like he doesn’t want to kill, or have blood on his hands, but when push comes to shove he knows what he has to do, even if he doesn’t like it. This is why Levi is amongst one of my favorite characters in anime, such as Itachi Uchiha or Ken Kaneki. Of course, these characters aren’t the same, but their ideals are somewhat similar.
