We test drove a 3 when my kids were still babies. We ended up with a 2019 Chevy bolt because it had more cargo space than the 3. I mean, the salesman almost freaked out when I forced the stroller (city select) into the trunk & forced the trunk to close. And then having my wife & the 2 baby car seats in the back was a very tight fit for my wife. She’s 6’ tall. A 3 is not ideal for a new young family. An X would’ve been perfect, but that was way too expensive at that time.
On average in 10 years it loses around 10-20 percent of battery capacity, 15k is for a brand-new model s battery and you can reconfigure the battery for a couple of grand
The screen that does everything but keep your attention on the road. Have to go through 3 menus to change the a/c settings means you’re looking at a screen instead of the road
Test drove the LR model, its neat. Acceleration was crazy, but i just couldnt do it. Interior was too basic and the build qualities kinda discouraged me. I mean as a daily driver i think its a great car, but i ended getting a BMW M340i. Tesla might be quicker, but idk i feel it lacks soul, doesnt excite me like the M340i does when i do some spirited driving.
Another reason is when the battery catches on fire you can’t use water to put it out! Another is that you’ll never have an issue if you’re in California and the state limits your power usage… Another reason is that it’s made of high quality material…

Any Tesla owner here from Southern California? Preferably high desert area. How much are the charging rates here .. both supercharger stations and home? And also, how much is insurance? I could fix it by getting a full engine swap and I do intend on doing that but considering I drive 10hrs a week to and from work, I’m debating whether a Tesla might be good for me 🤔
Okay so I hate electric cars, storage isn’t something I need to worry about as I’m not hauling a bunch of stuff only a regular amount of groceries, and the screen is dangerous as I have to get through like 2-4 menus while looking at the screen not the road to just change ac (I know there’s autopilot but autopilot sucks and you still have to pay attention to the road because if there’s any corrections you need to make you still need to be fully aware of the road so at that point why have autopilot in the first place) when I could have a physical knob that I can just turn without looking at
1. to change the ac you can use voice navigation, get your passenger to do it, or all it takes is one click to reach the AC menu, which is on the bottom left screen, 2. autopilot can help with long legs of a trip where you don’t wanna steer (highway), and while you do have to pay attention the car still drives for you.
@@wingless747 voice navigation is clunky imo and usually it isn’t one click And even then when you have autopilot on you still have to have your hands on the wheel so like I said there’s really no point in it if I have to still pay attention But I mean hey to each their own

It took 45 minutes to fully charge. I will drive a gas car where I can go non stop and not waste time in a charging station.
if you use an electric car like a gas car you’re using it wrong, climate takes a lot of range away, and it should only take 15-20 mins to charge, you should be charging to 60% as the last 40-20% take considerably longer and it’s faster charging to 60% and making 2 stops than 100% and one stop

It is now risk weighted based on when you are driving from 10 PM to 4 PM. The impact of late night driving on your safety score will depend on the amount of time spent driving between 10 PM and 4 AM.
The safety score is less impacted the closer your driving time is to 10 PM, and more impacted the closer your score is to 4 AM.”
@@devinmurray5280 this is number one 1 I’ll go find number two for you now man
@@devinmurray5280 All Standard Range (SR) and Standard Range Plus (SR+ )Model 3's are shipped with the (necessary hardware)!!! To have heated rear seats. They remained dormant until late last year Tesla finally allowed owners to pay $400 CAD ($300 USD) for an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade that turned them on. Imagine paying for a car that you can’t unlock fully without upgrades lmao! Electric cars have a long way to go, and charging for amenities like the ability to use your car to its full potential is stupid to say the least!
Just wait till more people own EVs, charging will cost way more..count on it..
It takes 20 dollars for a full charge base model 3 that’s around 240 miles in a gas car 20 dollars will get u the same range around that 200 miles and some change so a full tank of gas may cost more but you’d be getting a lot more range than a full charge Tesla
Charging at home is like $7 for a full charge. So 2 gallons of gas. Good luck getting 20@ miles with that 😂
@@dragonfire124 obviously we are on the subject of super chargers dude 😂😂 ppl comparing super chargers to gas stations when there is nun the only difference is if u have a long range or performance u get around the same miles for the same price as gas stations do your research
Saying do your research when I own Model 3 Performance is hilarious. Maybe you should learn that everyone just charges at home and if you buy a Tesla without having a place to charge at home you’re an idiot. I’ll get back to having this conversation when you get your facts straight 🤡
$20 for a charge that barely last is terrible compared to like $30 for a full tank in a civic that last way longer so you get more range for your money. I have both cars
Who caught the subliminal behind him sitting down saying " whole lotta room for activities " 🤔😂
Not sure if it really help keep your eyes on the road since everything is on the screen that you will have to turn your head to look at to adjust anything...🤔
You do that with buttons too. The only think that’s there that isn’t already in that location for a normal car is the Speedo
I can tell you one reason I cannot afford the insurance 😂
the insurance from tesla is cheaper than Geico insurance
I pay $100 as a 19 year old
@@santiagorubio5672 🧢
My tesla insurance by tesla is only 106 per month!! Very affordable!!👍😁
@@Electric-Mania yes but that’s 1200 a year! I pay two cars only 900 a year hahahaha.
The $20 is way too expensive! Maybe at peak rates at a supercharger! My electricity bill for the whole month went up by $100 bucks using my at home Tesla Wall charger. Remember folks you don’t even need to supercharge at Tesla superchargers! You can charge way cheaper at home at your convenience! Save time by never going to a station unless it’s on occasional road trip!
“For the second thing, we have to hop into this thing and the second thing is storage in this thing”
bro said thing 4 times in one sentence 💀💀💀
575 mile range on Toyota Highlander Hybrid. 37 mpg. $45 to fill up. 7 seater.
Hybrid should of been a thing before EV push, but the great thing about Tesla's is the self driving
I only have 2 friends so I don’t need 7 seats
Maybe a tank costs $20 but u have to charge it 3-4 times to get the same miles as a gas equivalent car so no saving money there. I know in IL registration is a lot more than a gas vehicle as well.
a tank does not cost $20, more like 10-12, also the newer ones get 340 miles and a gas car typically gets less than 450, so around the same
We test drove a 3 when my kids were still babies.
The two big problems are batteries after 10 years ($15 000 a new one) and that It needs more wheels changes because of its weight
On average in 10 years it loses around 10-20 percent of battery capacity, 15k is for a brand-new model s battery and you can reconfigure the battery for a couple of grand
I love my Tesla with FSD 😊
The screen that does everything but keep your attention on the road. Have to go through 3 menus to change the a/c settings means you’re looking at a screen instead of the road
Can change any temp setting by voice which is what I do
as an auto mechanic, plz I want to know how fixing these things keep you sane, I’d rather fix up a BMW than to ever touch a Tesla 😂😂😂
Access and egress very difficult being so low to the ground.
Will wait to afford MY or M2.
1867: in 2022 we will have flying cars!
2022: in 2022 we don't have flying cars. We have Teslas!
we already have flying cars but just 0.1% of the world because its expensive
Prius is cheaper and a hatch but no frunk but real buttons and switches
It uses gas from the grid
Test drove the LR model, its neat. Acceleration was crazy, but i just couldnt do it. Interior was too basic and the build qualities kinda discouraged me. I mean as a daily driver i think its a great car, but i ended getting a BMW M340i. Tesla might be quicker, but idk i feel it lacks soul, doesnt excite me like the M340i does when i do some spirited driving.
I 100% agree, I’d take the M340i over a model 3 any day
Home charging. Full charge. £7 (around $9)
I wonder if those electricity prices will stay that cheap once electric cars are the norm
Fourth reason: You don’t need to worry about changing the oil.
I've got my Chevy Bolt EUV and I'm happy as I can be.
nice!
I absolutely love my tesla model 3! I'm NEVER going back to regular car
Another reason is when the battery catches on fire you can’t use water to put it out!
Another is that you’ll never have an issue if you’re in California and the state limits your power usage…
Another reason is that it’s made of high quality material…
you say that like gas cars aren’t more flammable 😂
@@wingless747 You say that like EVs are safer than gas cars.
@@kjkegari A lot of them do have better safety scores than traditional gas, especially Tesla.
@@wingless747 I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but gas cars are much safer than EVs.
My dad just put our Tesla model 3 in sport and I my head went back so fast he said I be scared if it was on track mode
Tesla model 3 is an affordable Tesla.
An affordable thing
Actually what I think I need is a 1970 Plymouth duster 340 wedge, with pistol grip four speed on the floor. That’s just me
But for gasoline cars we can fill it fast incase in emergency situations and that's why I love gas cars and especially for their engine revving sounds
Ok this depends on range the Tesla has over 250 miles of range and at home your probably ganna be already charged
electric cars have a home charger!
Once more and more people get electric cars, it'll be just as expensive as gas if not more. Enjoy the savings while you can, it's only short lived
Gas for me is only $19 to full from low gas light. I have a '04 Honda Civic. New cars are worst. 😂
Secondly, The thing in the thing is the second part of this thing. We gotta hop into the thing, The second thing is the storage on this thing.
How else would I tell you about the thing? 👀
That’s a lie. $20 is only 50% here in CA public charger
How much at home?
I spend $50 a month charging from home in TX
It’s actually a lie for how expensive he said it is. I only pay $7 at home to fully charge mine.
I pay O$ a month. We have free charges here in Illinois
I charge up for 12 bucks in San Diego CA so u pay waaaay more then u need 2🤣
You forgot the hidden compartment in the trunk, pretty big storage area underneath the trunk floor
Let’s talk about the depreciation on these “things.”
Great if your buying
Does it make sense? The best of the best infotainment in the system????
Meant to say in the industry
Wow… most insightful review I’ve ever seen!!!
*Meanwhile: Every other EV*
"Are we a joke to you?"
I mean for the price and the infrastructure you can’t beat a model 3!
Infrastructure on the model 3 is good? Cap.
That thing is the most boring, honestly wack looking EV ive seen other than the nissan leaf and all of those.
I see many EVs that look better than teslas
First drive then comment
Unfortunately, yes.
Yes !!
Any Tesla owner here from Southern California? Preferably high desert area.
How much are the charging rates here .. both supercharger stations and home?
And also, how much is insurance?
I’m strongly considering getting one.
My little car finally gave its last breath.
I could fix it by getting a full engine swap and I do intend on doing that but considering I drive 10hrs a week to and from work, I’m debating whether a Tesla might be good for me 🤔
Only rented teslas come with that sticker they do not come from dealer with those. At least mine didn’t
@@wingless747 voice navigation is clunky imo and usually it isn’t one click
And even then when you have autopilot on you still have to have your hands on the wheel so like I said there’s really no point in it if I have to still pay attention
But I mean hey to each their own
@@wingless747voice navigation is like talking to yourself. That is not intuitive
@@Aderin. i said that a month ago and i agree, but all it takes is one button press to show the AC controls
@@notnowboi7795 yep i agree on voice navigation, but autopilot steers for you, you do no work but keep your hands on the wheel and look out for any danger, it lessens your workload.
I need that thing because I'm gonna have to do thing 1 and thing 2 in the frunk toilet thing
And thats $20/month only if you drive it almost every day.
For anyone working from home or part time you'll probably only spend 8-12$/month
I wouldn't take 1 if you gave it to me. I'm 50 miles from the nearest charging station, one way.
Circumstances?
He keep callin the car “thing” I don’t think you’re gonna get anymore car sponsors to do vids for my guy 😂
why no one mention how expensive the insurance is and only mention gas saving?
Breathing heavy already… man’s needs to walk around more
For the second thing we have to hop into this thing. And the second thing is storage in this thing.
😵💫
That $20 is now about 60 depending on where you live and 8 hours to charge
What about rain sitting on the boot, when you open the boot all that water goes onto the window then into the boot
nope, there’s a cover that catches the rain with newer models
I want a Tesla but if the majority of people were to overnight get one in mass then it would never work because the grid couldn't handle it in many places.
Ummm 20 dollars that's a 1,000 pesos here but a full tank is only half the price
the only reason i would rather get other EV's or hybrids is because at least those still feel like cars and not a computer i have trusted my life with... like its no fun just using a tablet for ur car just because its "minimal"
“this large screen keeps the dash minimalistic so you keep your focus on the road” even tho you have to use the screen and take your focus off the road to do anything including checking your speed
Why did you get in the car to open the trunk? There’s a button on it.
Unfortunately there isn’t one for the fronk, I popped both when I got in
@@seizethespeed ohh that’s why. Yeah it’s dumb there’s no way to engage the front easily. I usually just use the app real quick being I have the widget on an app page.
Full charge for $20 is a lie try about 40, also you need to wait 30-50 minutes to fill up.
"Gasoline Car" 😂😂😂😂
I will never buy a Tesla. It is like driving a Golf cart. It is only good for going to your local supermarket. I rented a Tesla to go from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and it ran out of electricity halfway because of going uphills, the hot weather and having the air conditioner on full blast.
Teslas don’t work where I live. It’s too cold and they end up shutting down or giving horrible range and they perform horribly in the snow here.
when he said the tesla was full electric ......I felt that
$17 for my na Miata from empty to full
That’s just not true, a Miata has an 11.5 gallon tank, you must live in magic land if you’re paying $1.5 per gallon… 🙄
