    I miss the old Darren this would have been an hour long video.. but in all do respect I’ve learned so much from you over the years, one of the most informative detailers on TH-cam!

    I use 303 fabric guard on the carpet area of the wheel well . It helps cleaning up that area faster and also the rainy season it helps as well to repel the dirt off the area

    Thanks for the great video Darren! And believe it or not, thanks for leaving the brush blooper in there! It was a good laugh because in the real world, that happens!! Good stuff! Thanks again!!

    I know this is an older video, but it seems like no matter what I use, it won't last long lol. Dressing wise I mean of course. It looks great at the time but as soon as you go through puddles and a day of rain, it's back to smoky. What I have found in the cleaning world (BTW, I use new toilet brushes too lol) is if it is really jacked up in the wheel wells and they are plastic, I can use a soft bristle dome shaped (typically for carpet) brush to get them really clean. In the carpeted wheel well world, I've found less is more. I detail out of my home, and I don't pressure wash the carpet or whatever that is under there. I'll srray it with an APC, agitate it a little, and use my garden hose on the shower setting. I've found that volume of water rather than pressure gives a better cleaning and visual appearance. Thanks for the post bro. I enjoy them very much. Are you still a partner with CSI? I ask because at one point, years ago, I ordered tons of the dressing for tires. It still is my favorite of all time and I can't ever get it. It really lasted, didn't sling and a little went a long way. Best of healt luck and prosperity to you:).

      It seems you and I think alike because you describe pretty much my same conclusions, and same strategies. I am no longer connected with CSi, but with that said, Tom (the founder/formulator) is working on some new products and wants me to get involved again. I cannot say how this will play out. I can tell you that it has been my frustration also that the CSi products are not typically available these days. Part of why I am no longer with CSi. And yes, the Tyre Lotion was also my favorite.

    Darren on trucks & jeeps that show a lot of the undercarriage I love using Chemical Guys Barebones. I looks amazing and lasts about 4 washes. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. Cheers from N Michigan

    I didn't know they made wheel well dressings. If I may ask what are they? I'm just starting out as a beginner detailer. I know about tire and rim dressings. Where can I buy a wheel well dressing? Thanks much for your video.

    Any recommendations I’ve got a brand new car 2024 Subaru outback and I ran over some paint and it appears that my back wheels have that felt well. It is latex paint. I use soap and water today with the scrub brush but didn’t work too well any recommendations would be helpful.

    Thanks for making this video. I never thought about detailing the wheel wells. Is there a way to prevent my rear wheel wells on my truck from rusting from the inside out like so many trucks seem to do? Thanks again.

    • @gabr0502
      @gabr0502 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you found anything? My old Ram has this rust problem and my 2011 Maxima is starting. My Maxima is rusting from inside a fold in the sheet metal, so not really like I could blow/wash it out.

    Keep thinking I'm listening to Pan the Organizer with that intro and outro music, thanks for the wealth of knowledge much appreciated, P.S. the music on some of your older de-badging videos was just awesome😊

      I guess I haven't seen any Pan the Organizer vids to know when and how he is using the music. Not sure where my daughter is getting this music when she edits. She is in charge of that now.

      Auto Fetish Detail Seriously? The music? If u know everyone on TH-cam's ins and outs....maybe u spending too much time on TH-cam! Can we maybe focus on the relevant....like the info? Or how bout the vehicle? Our life? Ice cream? Something. Damn. Please let your lil girl know we appreciate her time as well as your insight man! Great she still has time for dad! Oh n probably the only time terry is appropriate in detailing....I lay an old solid color beach towel over the tire before I spray anything on face of tire or wheell well..rain n dressed tires (from even a lil overspray) do not mix well.

    That’s awesome stuff. I use Meg’s hyper dressing mixed down to a “satin” level for that area. Seams to serve me well and the price isn’t too painful. Not sure I’m a huge fan of fabric in wheel wells. Always seemed weird to me

    • @autofetishdetail
      @autofetishdetail  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems weird to me also, but have found on the mud stained felt liners it has some good effect at covering/hiding the staining at least temporarily.

    Hi Darren! How do you deal with road tar in wheel wells? I found that most of tar removers can whiten black plastic that is used in wheel arches.

    • @autofetishdetail
      @autofetishdetail  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are exactly right. Traditional tar/adhesive removers will dry out the plastic and make it look whitish. I do use Rapid Remover for my "go-to" when it comes to removing tar and adhesives. This product is far easier and does not fade/discolor/dry out the plastics like traditional tar removers. www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/car-adhesive-remover.html Also a trick I use for heavy cases of tar in the fender wells is to bust out a rattle can of spray paint and simply cover it up by painting over it. This is usually a great "winning balance" for those extreme cases of tar sling in the fender wells.
