one of, if not the best full wheel well detail I have seen......got to say mate, if I lived in oz and i wanted my car detailing to the highest standard, with thought and care....i would only need to make one phone call....all the best in 2018.
Very impressive process. Your documentation both visually and narrative are first rate. I couldn't believe how long it took before you actually put your hands/brush on the wheel wells. It makes total sense. 8 hrs, talk about a process! Man were the results worth the effort.
For my personal vehicle I keep a dozen cheap microfiber towels from Walmart on hand for wheel wells and door jambs. Couple times a year I apply spray wax to wheel wells and door jambs. Easy to maintain.
My favorite part is even back then he didn’t stop at 2 layers of CQuartz Deluxe, he waited the cure time and topped it with another sacrificial layer!! Gorgeous🤤🤤🤤🤤
Second time I watch this whole video, and I'm pretty sure I've already commented, but again great job, so methodic and well made, greetings from the US my man!
Thank you for putting this video up. I will say when I say the car you were cleaning I thought how bad could it be? But when you got the wheel off you got my attention!!! I will use many of your cleaning tips, but I do have added needs to protect against Mud and Salt Missouri USA here. You may cringe but for me after cleaning WD40 is my friend. Thank you again.
deepsquat600 probably a day for one side.. Two days? Unless he worked all day, then a whole day. Shit if i had a romeo I'd spend days letting my ocd get the best of me.
LOL ..yep .. I have just recently been going over a new ( for me ) great condition 1999 Acura CL .. and it still took me 4 hours with steam and de greaser to clean the engine bay ... heck ,, must take waaaaaaay too long.. I would give up ... they guy is awesome in his attention to detail ..same with the guy from AMMO ..OCD to the make ..
Yes, great video!!!! Doing the wheel wells the right way sure as the sun goes up every morning is a very big time consuming task. I suggest to use jack stands.
Great video Sandro. I love getting lost in my own thoughts as I detail my wheels and wheel wells. It’s a different thing though when you’re on the clock with a client’s car.
I clean my wheel wells and undercarriage everytime i wash the car (every weekend). As protection i use Chemical Guys Bare Bones although this DLUX coating looks awesome, gonna give it a try. Thanks for the video!
Very through job, Will defiantly use the c quartz I have. Also thought maybe I'll spray some geyon can coat up in the suspesion parts and area to try coating the areas you can't physically reach with your hands.
Car Craft Auto Detailing I'm a bit of a detailing head case myself, been doing it since the early 2000's on and off. I have a question for you, are you familiar with carbon sealants ? And if so are you aware of topping waxes that will work w/ them without streaking and smearing ?
I do this on my cars and also offer it to customers, a detailed car looks best when wheel wells are cleaned and condition, don’t forget to clean the back of the wheels while you are at it.
No, I usually just drive back and forth a few of times hitting the breaks and that clears all the rust off - you can then just use some blown air to remove any particles.
Fantastic job, I've decided to go for as well ! Stupid question - why not to use wheel bolt/nut remover with plastic coating to avoid possible scratches ?
Curious as to what you clean the wheels with on a weekly/monthly basis when the wheels are on of course? I'm sure it would have to pH balanced because it would just remove that coating.
Great vid Sandro, Jesus those wheel nuts are a ball ache to take off... lol did not expect dlux on the arches... nice touch 👌 keep up the good work mate 😄
Basically the only thing i can say is this that when your going to sell the car, even privately most people will pay the red books value and i am sorry to say that unless the car has very very low km's then you will get a real good price, sure you will get more because the car was looked after and proof of what was done as far as cleaning it with paperwork to prove it, it will never get your cost back, but if you have a road driven car and want to look after it like Sandro does, which is to teach people who to do it and what would be the best products to use, which i would consider the best u tube channel for detailing cars and products reviews bar none. :)
CaseAgainstFaith1 - 99.9% of the cars I see have filthy wheel wells. That number includes just-washed cars. Dirty wheel-wells certainly detract from the overall appearance of a car.
@@jrh11254 as a detailer I only see doing this when delivering car to the customer, otherwise just sell the car and drive bycicle or something...cause its a waste of time! especially if you're in wet climate, why burn few hours of life, water and some chemicals when next day its already again dirty
Amazing job only for your brera’s arches!!! Interesting comments for the products utilisations and effectives cleaning!!! For me as you degreasers (surfex HD in my case) are more effective on the wheels arches as APC
Sandro, have you tried Surfex HD or Koch Chemie Green Star? I've watched several "head-to-head" themed product reviews where a host of APC's are compared to one another and those 2 always come out on top.
If you were doing the entire car with a full detail, would you do this first then the rest of the car? Then at the end you could rinse and put protection on very last after entire car is done?
I noticed you used a ‘white’ trigger with TR.IX. I recently had a ‘black’ trigger leak on me and contacted CarPro in the UK and they informed me that although I was using a trigger off a reload bottle, they are coloured to show what liquids they are designed to be used for. Black for solvent based fluids (TR.IX) and white for water based (Reload). Using a white on a black liquid means the seals will be damaged and leakage/bad spray will occur as a result. Otherwise, nice advice in the video bro!
I like my vw clean but someone that spends all that time on the underside has a serious problem. Put the wheels back on and drive the car and see the lovely country we live in. I pressure wash under my arches and wash it every week with autoglym shampoo and conditioner then I use it. One day they all get scrappef
Great video as always, love the soundtrack btw, I did this on my bmw f30 but just used carpro Perl on plastics as that’s all I had also bmw has carpet like cover on wheel wells very little plastic, would like a recommendation for product to use on that for next time. TIA
If the coating feels a bit too grippy going on and wiping off, that’s usually a sign that you need to wait longer, but if the coating feels very slick and almost beads on top when you apply it and then just smears when you’re wiping it off, that’s a sign you’ve waited too long. Usually 2-3 hrs in warmer climates and 3-4 hrs on colder climates is about right.
Is safe carpro dlux for paint.. i want to put my motorcycle. I want to put in weels in palstics in metal parts.. but in the paint? I dont want to buy another ceramic.. thank you..
Unreal how clean you got them, like brand new. I'm about to attempt this with my truck and honestly im wondering, how many Adderalls should I take first lol
Hey Sandro, beautiful work as always. Thanks for creating this channel, definitely informative and it’s made me see things very differently in terms of maintaining my vehicles. Will definitely try this out, I have a question: The rear arches have some sort of material/carpet lining. What’s your advice or take on getting it clean? Would it be wise to use Cquartz Fabric on that material in terms of coating?
Great great video. Extremely pro job. Only suggestion with video is (lose the music) an have a bit more screen time on the Before and After shots. Using exactly the same camera angle for both. Outstanding work thanks.
Good stuff mate...Finally a good reason to buy a tornador. Mate your forearms must be massive....I reckon 150+ bottle squeezes per wheel arch. So your saying APC is stronger than Sup Deg? I still haven't used APC just find SD is a pretty versatile product.
When it comes down to it we all know doing wheel wells is the biggest labor of love. Because when you're done, there's always three more left to do 🤣
James Alexander Yup. When it comes to wheels im happy that i just need to detail two of them. On my car Im not THAT OCD about it being spotless

No, I usually just drive back and forth a few of times hitting the breaks and that clears all the rust off - you can then just use some blown air to remove any particles.
